We had a lovely time here! Especially the home-like atmosphere created by Mary and David together with their superb quality of food made it something to remember. If you need time off from your (too) busy life, book the steadings!!

Not sure what the others are going on about, our GPS took us directly to the spot. I'll grant you, there were a couple times we didn't want to believe it, as this place is a little far out, but the drive was quickly forgiven when we saw the gorgeous setting the inn is surrounded by. Mary and David were...

We had an evening meal, four adults, Mary met us at the door and proved to be an excellent host, nothing was too much trouble. The menu has an excellent choice of local fresh produce, large portions well presented.

Beware this hotel is very difficult to find. No directions are provided and the GPS takes you to the wrong address, a private house, who's owner is helpful, but, not surprisingly, is obviously a bit bored with redirecting tired travelers.

This hotel is a little off the beaten track but well worth finding. The rooms are furnished to a very high quality. The hotel has various comfortable lounge areas with personal attention from the owners ensuring everyone's happiness. The food was delicious, the menu interesting. It is quite pricey though, which was a bit of a shock.

Went for a family visit a few Sundays ago : you have to book in advance. The patron was a lovely older lady - part of a couple who retired and then came back because they missed their customers so much! Food was perfect (buffet) and plentiful, and the setting, both inside and out, was exquisite - old country charm.

We held a Wedding Lunch at the Grouse & Trout, The Steading's own restaurant. This was to celebrate with our UK family our earlier wedding in March in the USA. Mary and David, the owners, were very helpful in getting everything organized over the telephone. On first sight of the Steadings, we were very pleased with the setting and the...

David and Mary were welcoming and helpful without being obtrusive. The hotel was cosy with lovely nooks for relaxing and watching the snow. Setting is beautiful, you would not know Inverness was minutes away. Room was lovely, very clean,, high quality bedding, Arran Aromatics soap and shower accessories, big fluffy towels, fabulous. The food was excellent too. Very relaxing.

Mary and David were very hospitable and gracious. We felt very pampered! Our rooms were very comfortable and spacious, and we had every amenity in them. We wish that we could have stayed longer. The view was beautiful from our room, and from the dining area. The dining experience was one of luxury, and our food was excellent with local...

The hotel is a quaint little gem in the country. It is run by a lovely couple who do everything. The bedroom decor is a little dated but it fits with the ambience of the hotel. The little bar is comfy and the drinks are priced well. The scenery around the hotel is gorgeous and we would have loved to...
