What a gem in the lowveld. Marian and Paul offer fine-dining Vegan style. The food is delicious with bursts of flavour in your mouth! Rooms are quaint and comfortably furnished. Well worth a visit enroute to/from Nelspruit

We have driven past this establishment many times in the past on our way the the Kruger Park or Hazeyview or Nelspruit. Recently we heard that the restaurant was vegan. My wife is vegan and I am vegetarian so we just had to try it. We booked to go there at the end of October. The accommodation is very rustic,...

After a hard 24 hours trip from germany to johannesburg and then up to old joe´s lodge, we´ve just wanted to have a good steak or something like that, BUT we never expected that we´d get a VEGAN MENUE :-) Our traveling service (must some sort have been kidding on us we thought at first) had booked us a place...

We stayed here for one night as a convenient stopover between Jo'berg and Kruger Park via the Blyde River Canyon. Perfect. Although the grounds are right alongside the busy N4 as soon as you wander down the path to reception you forget all about the world outside. Mirrors, tree decorations, and twinkly lights welcome you in to a very homely...

Such a quaint, beautiful little place. This is the first time I have eaten vegan food at a restaurant and must say every meal was prepared with love. it was absolutely delicious. The owners go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable and happy. I also liked the fact that all the products they supplied in the bathroom...

A very special place. The hosts are lovely and gorgeous scenery. True relaxation. Instead of serving only vegan food but as meat eaters we enjoyed very! Dinner and breakfast were just great. There is also a short walking trail next to a beautiful river just below the hotel. Very cute rooms and a pampering bath. In short recommended!

Nice and quiet. Perfect for getaway. Beautiful natural beauty and great place to relax. Fir a night or more. Close to everything but still far away enough that you still have your privacy. Will recommend it

A place for rest, introspection, healing, calm and clean food. I am not vegan but I was blown away by the beautiful food, and came home feeling focused and clean. I highly recommend it, it is a gentle and authentic place that centres you. It is not fancy or 5 star, it's a bit rustic and real. No TV. (that's...

I went to Old Joe's for a long weekend break with my mom. We loved it from start to finish. Paul and Marian are exceptional hosts and Melissa's wellness treatments are excellent. OJK feels like a home and from the minute you arrive everything feels well thought through and carefully planned. The main reason we chose OJK was for the...
