We booked last minute and the hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay lovely. Our room on both occasions was lovely. Staff were efficient and kind and given my injured leg did their utmost to help. Food was pleasant and the atmosphere romantic and relaxing. The views from the garden and pier are stunning

If i had paid 50 pounds (not 240 pounds!) for this plastic cabin which stank of dogs I would have been unhappy. The sheets appeared unwashed (there were previous occupants hairs in the sheets, probably pubic😩!!) The occupants of the neighbouring cabin had 4 dogs sleeping on the beds.( they told us they paid 15 pounds per dog for that... More

Thank you for taking the time to submit your review of the hotel KayeB1960, It is disappointing that you felt the need to review us twice and will reiterate my comments I left in reply to your previous review. Having investigated the Garden Lodge you stayed in, we found it had actually not been occupied by dog owners previously. Having... More

Short break for 3 days. We had a dinner/bed and breakfast deal. Room was fine with lovely views over Loch. Hotel staff were very eager to help. Food was excellent and Chef should be congratulated for his menu and quality of food. Just be aware that you are slightly isolated and access is by a single lane and you must... More

We were here for lunch as part of a classic car run with about 20 of us. We had been here before under the original ownership when standards were very good but it subsequently had a chequered existence but is now under new ownership and is again first class. We did pre-order from an excellent menu and the food is... More

I arranged a special three generation family gathering here recently and honestly I could not have chosen a more perfect spot. Traditional enough to please the grandparents and luxurious enough to please me with lots of outdoor space for little people to run around in the most beautiful and scenic setting. My parents got a free room upgrade when they... More

We paid GBP242.50 for one night through Expedia and expected a 5 star hotel. When we got there it's just an old country hotel with wonky floors. Our accommodation was a 150 metre outdoor walk (with heavy suitcases) to our Fijian style plastic weatherboard bure. No TV, no WIFI, no vanity items, no soap (only refillable pump action shampoo, bath... More

Had a short break as we wanted to see how this lovely hotel was fairing now that it's under new, local management. It's only been up and running a couple of months and already you can see this will once again be a great place to stay. Beautiful location, great for out door pursuits and a warm cosy place to... We had a wonderful stay last week - the staff were so helpful and welcoming and even made our dog Boris feel extra welcome and provided a bed for him in the room too! The grounds are beautiful and we recommend a quick swim in the Loch in the morning to wake you up for the day!

We visited the hotel having walked down from the outdoor centre a mile away. We were warmly welcomed and sat in the lounge for tea and coffee. Very comfortable. We didn't eat but did have the opportunity to look over the menu. It looked amazing and would be a reason to go back and spend the. night and have a... More
