despite the best efforts of the Portuguese team our stay was a big disappointment. the hotel is for sale apparently and the owner is clearly minimising expenses in the meantime including their own time as we never saw him/her.

We booked a garden bothy for the September weekend, which was also out 4th wedding anniversary. We advised the hotel we would be bringing our dog and when I went to collect the keys the guy at reception seemed flustered and not entirely in love with his job.

Stayed here for 3 nights for work. As aquatic ecologists the location was great. Bedrooms were large, clean and comfortable. Views were amazing. Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Food was great. Please ignore the bad reviews and stay here. Lots of beautiful walk

Do you think it’s acceptable to allow tents to pitch outside the luxury bothy’s? Also is it usual for a hotel to advertise as having a restaurant but not actually serve cooked meals?
The owner is just maximising profit and running it into the ground. The restaurant was the best bit when we were there- we won't be returning

These are the prices indicated on the website: Cottage & Shieling Suites - £250 per room per night (inclusive of full Scottish breakfast). Loch View - £150 per room per night (inclusive of full Scottish breakfast) Standard Rooms - £120 per room per night (inclusive of full Scottish breakfast). Hope it helps!
