Wonderful stay. Very casual atmosphere. Lovely country garden and a great porch to sit on and read or admire it. Breakfast was great. We felt right at home. About a 20 minute ride into Quebec City. Parking on site.

This B&B looks as if it comes right out of a fairy tale. The house is from the 16th century and it could be used as a film set. Although it is packed with old stuff it is very clean. The beautiful English garden has the size of a park. It is very tranquil and full of birds (including some hummingbirds). The location is perfect for visiting Quebec city and even Tadoussac is within reach (+- 3 hour drive). The host Shelly is a little bit crazy - i can imagine that some people do not like this - but she is the type of person we like: very very warm and welcoming and a very interesting woman to talk to that has visited a lot of places around the globe. Somehow this place made us feel like we were in Montmartre in Paris and in an enchanted forest at the same time. Shelly, you are the queen of a little piece of paradise! We would definitely stay here again!

If you want a unique experience. Beautiful, clean. We were warmly welcomed by a bilingual host who's been operating the B&B for 25+ years. Well maintained in a patrimonial property. You won't be disappointed.

We had a fantastic stay, and were very well taken care of by Shelly. The garden is a delight, the inside veranda where we had breakfast very calm, the delicately decorated centuries old house: It all added to the experience. If you are driving alongside the St Lawrence river, make sure you stop at Monarde, you'll see some hummingbirds in the garden as a bonus.

We had a nice little breakfast, crepes, Shelley told us it was her specialty and no wonder why, probably the best i've tasted !! We will be going back very soon ! Thank you
