    GREAT GETAWAY
We decided to do a staycation for Mother’s Day at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass as a bit of a getaway from the normal routine during the coronavirus lockdown. After speaking to the resort staff and better understanding the hotel processes, we felt that we could safely have a stay there, especially given that there was almost no one else at the resort. The resort is a very nice property. The grounds are very well maintained and there are plenty of nice spaces both inside and outside for sitting and enjoying the beautiful scenery around the hotel. While the pools and majority of the facilities were closed due to the virus, we were still able to enjoy our time at the resort. We got an upgraded room to one of the executive suites and this was a nice set-up for our party of four. We had four including my wife and I, our 4 year old son, and my wife’s mother. My wife’s mother and our son shared the sofa bed in the living room and my wife and I were able to take the king bed in the separate bedroom. The set-up is good for a group as the bathroom has separate entrances from both the living room and the bedroom eliminating the need for guests to go through the master bedroom to get to the bath. The hotel is in the process of renovating and the new décor and room features are very appealing and comfortable. The staff, service and food at the resort were all fabulous. While there were limited guests to support, the staff all made us feel that they were truly happy to have us there and wanted to make us feel special. While the food and restaurant options were limited with the virus, the food was all very good and the menu had a nice variety of options. It was actually some of the best hotel food my wife and I have had, and we travel extensively. Overall, a very pleasant getaway from the rigors of life at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass. We are looking forward to visiting again soon once the resort is running back at full operations. We had such a great time with limited amenities available, so we can’t wait to stay again with the full service offerings of the resort. It is comparable to the JW properties in town, but comes at a more economical price, so a great new option for us in Phoenix when we do future staycations.
Dear PaulandDianaPHX, Thank you for the generous rating of our hotel, the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass, Arizona's premier Native American-owned luxury resort! It is a delight to know you and your family had a wonderful, relaxing getaway recently and that our modern accommodations and devoted associates far exceeded your expectations. We are also happy you could take advantage of our exciting amenities and that you enjoyed the delicious food we offer. It was a pleasure serving you, and we hope you will choose us every time your travels bring you to Phoenix. Sincerely, John Wright Resort Manager

If you like “ High End “ you’ll love the Wild Horse Pass,Resort
I have stayed at the Wild Horse Pass Resort many times, but not for the last 2 years, it is as nice as always ( a bit of renovation ) on the south end of the hotel, but you wouldn’t know it other than guest parking. Super clean, first class everywhere you visit! The spa, the pool, the bar, even the running/walking path through the desert is groomed every morning. The staff is always top of the line & beyond friendly. It is NOT low priced...But, you will be hard pressed to find anything wrong, anywhere! They welcome NHRA race teams & car owners.
Dear CherokeeN9444W, On behalf of our staff, thank you for the terrific review! We are pleased to know how much you loved your time with us. Our unique design is an authentic representation of the Gila River Indian Community's heritage and culture and we celebrate every detail of the Pima and Maricopa tribe at our Phoenix resort. There's something for everyone with our 4 pools with 111-foot water slide, horseback riding, Aji Spa, Whirlwind Golf Club and so much more! All of us at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass look forward to having you visit with us again. Sincerely, John Wright Resort Manager

    Wonderful one night stay
First time staying here and we chose it as I wanted to stay somewhere close to PHX in order to take my Mother to the airport in the morning. I'm a platinum Bonvoy member and this looked like a fun place to stay and treat Mom. We checked in around 3pm and were upgraded from a 2 double room, limited view to a 2 double room, view and balcony. We loved the remodeled room and the view of the landscape and pools. In the evening we took the shuttle to the casino and enjoyed the ride and conversation with Reggie. We were his only occupants each way and he was very prompt and courteous. With Platinum status we were able to dine at the Ko'Sin restaurant for breakfast with a $30 credit for the two of us. The menu was varied and the food was delicious and we enjoyed dining outdoors. I wish we had longer to stay so that we could try out the pools and the hiking/interpretive trail (in the morning since the weather heats up quickly this time of year). Now that I know about this location I will make a point of coming back again with family or friends.
Dear mrd4430, Thank you for the generous rating of our hotel. As a member of Marriott Bonvoy, we appreciate your loyalty to our brands, and we are glad we could welcome you to the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass, Arizona's premier Native American-owned luxury resort! We are delighted you enjoyed everything our hotel has to offer, including our great staff, location, and rooms. We hope you will come back to see us soon! It you want your resort hotel to have beautiful rooms, staff that is always smiling, greeting you with a hello and make you feel welcomed then this property is for you. I had stopped a gentlemen in the lobby after breakfast one morning and he happened to be the General Manager. He was so happy that I did to give him some kind words about his resort. Clean and amazing well keep property in ALL areas. Resort hotels should feel different from lets say a typical business/leisure one. And this one fits the bill. I love it when the bathroom has a separate shower/tub configuration. We only had the buffet breakfast at the resort and when it ended at 11am the food choices were just as plentiful as when it opened. No skimping Can't wait to go back.

We arrived tired, hot and frustrated after a 3+ hour delay for a 2.5 hour flight. The clerk when we checked in (6/21) was polite, calming and gave us a floor walk out room near the pool as requested. From that moment on, absolutely every person we encountered there was friendly and professional (except the phone girls at night - call during the day). Each and every employee from the bellman, maids, restaurant staff, front desk staff, pool bar staff...everyone has been taught to be friendly and helpful. The resort is beautiful and I cannot wait to return. The restaurant is a bit pricy $30 for buffet breakfast (we did it the first morning - McDonalds after that). We did not eat there besides breakfast. Pools are wonderful (2nd degree sunburn)...we come from a cold climate. If you can afford this resort, I would highly recommend it. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and remodeled with maid service every day. Full large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body and hand soap are provided. Family utilized the spa and found it heavenly. We checked out only to find out that our flight was again delayed 3+ hours. The clerk (6/26) was understanding and let us check back into our room to wait for our flight. She gave us hours and hours to feel comfortable and calmed before our flight finally took off. What service can match that? If you want to be treated like royalty, please go to this resort. Whoever is in charge has done their job!!

Traveling with family for a weekend getaway and decided to try the Sheraton at Wild Horse Pass. The experience was disappointing from the horseback riding at the Koli Equestrian Center which is advertised as one of the perks of staying at this resort to the comfort of the room at the resort. On check in at at the resort we were told we had a $100 credit to be sure and use before we checked out the next day before it expired. This so called credit is nothing but the deposit the resort charges and they charge anything you use on this “credit” to your credit card. This is definitely not truth in advertising. The beds were not comfortable, very hard. The Koli Equestrian Center where I had booked a horseback ride was a huge disappointment. The wrangler or whomever the person was at the equestrian center office was so rude and unwelcoming! I’ve never had such treatment at an equestrian facility in my years of riding. Would not book this resort again.

We drove to the Wild Horse Resort from our home in Southern California for a 4 day business conference. Arriving late afternoon, we pulled into the front entrance with the expectation that we could park briefly and check in as is common in most hotels. This resort has a very cramped main entrance that is controlled by the valet with no area to short term park to unload. When we arrived, the valet stood within inches of our vehicle, and was rude, and unaccommodating. The main parking lot was down the hill and far away from the check in. Rather than assist us, he argued with us rudely and unprofessionally. Fortunately another valet, Jose, was kind and helpful in bringing our bags from the lower lot all the way to our room. But the damage was done, and we spent the remainder of the day feeling angry and unwelcome. The room was otherwise typical of what you would expect at a resort of this level, with the exception of the extremely uncomfortable bed, and the lack of stairs/elevator. PROS: Large clean well kept room with balcony Nice interpretative walking path Comfortable conference rooms for business CONS: Cramped entrance with rude valet service with little interest in guest accommodation Long hallways with a far distance from parking and no wheeled carts for guest use Very few elevators/stairs - be prepared to walk long distances to rooms Nice interpretative walking path, but it crosses the road multiple times Uncomfortable beds - they have some kind of plastic on the mattress that is noisy and hot No vegan options in any of the restaurants, no prepared or fresh food in the hotel store. No nearby outside restaurants. We drove to Chandler and Ahwatukee to find food. This experience could have been better, had we felt welcome when we arrived, and been able to eat in any of the restaurants. The only reason we were there was for business. If we have a conference in the same location, we would likely opt not to attend, or stay at a different hotel.

This is a very nice resort. Its large and spacious but still feels like you have your space. We went for a 5 night stay to celebrate our 27th anniversary. They upgraded our room and sent a nice anniversary gift basket and card to our room. (Thank you Max) The breakfast buffet and offerings were excellent the service at Ko'Sin was always top notch, even during the busiest times . The pool area is large and even when busy can accommodate the guests without feeling cramped or overcrowded . Renee R the drink runner at the pool was awesome, she was friendly and fun and always checking in with us. The front desk staff was on it and professional The room was large and clean and well taken care of. The property itself is well managed and well taken care of. The grounds were groomed daily ,the landscaping was fresh and maintained, the common areas were clean and modern. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are very nice. WIFI signal was excellent all over the property from end to end . There are a ton of things to see and do , plan your time and experience it all. They have 3.8 miles of walking trails that are beautiful . They are close to the city and access to shopping and off site stuff is excellent casino and outlet shopping is close by. South Mountain park and its many trails for hiking are also very close. We truly enjoyed our stay , the place is beautiful and the staff is world class. Its very rare to find a property that has this level of friendly helpful staff and I think it speaks to the leadership and culture they have built there. We cannot say enough good things about everyone we interacted with.

Girls weekend with pool days and a spa day. We had multiple rooms on ground level. The staff is great and the rooms are clean and updated, but the patio doors wouldn’t all lock properly and are covered in bugs and spiders so we couldn’t enjoy, the pool deck needs to be redone ($29 resort fee) it was crumbling in many places, and at the spa the bathroom by the pool had a mosquito infestation. There is a talk with a complimentary cocktail at 5:30 about the area and if you have kids it looks like a lot of activities. Casino and spa are quick shuttle away, so convenient for additional options for dinner and entertainment.

I would definitely stay at this resort again. The rooms were clean, very spacious and I loved the balcony (we were facing the pool). Also extremely nice for our group was the fact that we were able to get adjoining rooms and both rooms had double beds. The bathroom was large with a walk-in shower and included the basic amenities. Staff was amazing. They were very attentive and responsive to any requests or questions. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, we were made to feel welcomed and valued. We tried one of the restaurants and utilized room service. The food was a little pricey, but it was very good. The burger was really good. The property was huge. We were able to take long walks. We even went out and watched the sunrise one morning. There was more than one pool, a golf course and horseback riding as well as a spa in a separate building on the grounds. The grounds felt comfortable and safe. It was about 20 minutes to the airport. Although I saw kids and the place seemed kid friendly, it was still quiet. I would highly recommend a stay at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass.

Fabulous hotel outside of Phoenix. Loved the grounds, the amazing Kai restaurant, the indigenous art. Breakfast room service was timely. The Shula Steak House is good, but is a drive away. The rooms were well appointed and the staff was nice. The pool with slide was fun. Horseback riding was great. We will go back for sure!

One of best gems of the region is how I would characterize this resort. It is secluded, but not too much. It is very relaxing, and the food at the restaurants is amazing. There is a shuttle to other locations not the campus. The beds are wonderful, but the pillows are very soft. The riverwalk is very serene, and worth walking the full path. The staff is very attentive, and the check in and check out experience was very quick simple. Also don't miss sun set on the mezzanine.
