We have just returned from a weeks untutored painting holiday with friends at Manzac and found Giles and Louise to be generous and perfect hosts, with nothing too much trouble. In fact the whole family are a delight. The setting was a visual treat, the accomodation excellent and the food delicious. Having such a spacious studio in the grounds must... More

I've just come back from a thoroughly enjoyable painting holiday with friends. Giles and Louise were perfect and friendly hosts, Louise cooking delicious food and Giles taking us to attractive and interesting painting locations whenever we wished. My room was spacious and comfortable with a stunning view down the valley towards the Pyrenees. There was a well equipped studio with... More

A beautiful place to stay with very good facilities and stunning views (especially when the distant peaks of the Pyrenees appear). Giles and Louise are the perfect hosts and Louise's cooking is excellent. We enjoyed the pool, art studio and the outside seating areas all in a tranquil setting. Came home feeling rested and invigorated!

Our art group booked this holiday in order to enjoy a week of painting together. What a success this was! We enjoyed perfect hospitality from Giles and Louise who work so hard to make their efforts to give guests a relaxing experience appear effortless. The house is beautifully presented and the grounds offer so many painting opportunities. The delightful studio... More

The location and surroundings of the property are second to none. Waking up to a view of the rolling countryside to the snow capped Pyrenees in the distance was unforgettable. Food and drink was excellent, the bedroom with ensuite was spacious and comfortable, and the rest of the house well appointed and attractive. I was there for a week's photography... More

Spent a week at this wonderful location while on an art Holiday in France. The facilities are great, the views are breathtaking and the food is top notch. The owners, Giles and Louise are both such warm and friendly people, they make you feel right at home and are very knowledgeable about the area and France. Lovely, Lovely Holiday!

Karen and I spent a week in May at Manzac d'en Bas advancing our understanding of image creation with professional photographer Simon Stafford. Simon’s approach is all encompassing – from the meticulous planning of locations based on the weather conditions/sun position to providing us with ‘24/7’ education, ready and willing throughout our stay to address any question we had which... This is 5 star accommodation for sure. The owners are fantastic and there is loads to do in the surrounding area. We went white water rafting, canyoning, to see the Tour de France, on the high ropes and on a Via Ferrata as well as having lovely days sat by the pool and sat around the fire pit at night.... More

Great view from bedroom window and it was everything else that has resulted in excellence. My wife and I were there on a 5 day photography course with the Nikon expert, Simon Stafford, in October 2015. Giles & Louise, our host and hostess, who moved from the UK some time ago, and then spent huge amount of time as DIY... More
