The location of this cottage is not in Salt Pond, it is in Thompson Bay. There were no luxury towels or bedding or even a grill that works. The exterior of the place looked in pretty good shape but upon opening the door you were greeted by filth. The cupboards, refrigerator, dishes, glasses were all dirty. The pots and pans... More

This place is for the explorer. Its a home base that is quietly secluded. You will be the only one IF the cottage next door is vacant. The view is beautiful but it is not a swimming beach unless you wear your Teva-type sandals or river shoes (a must pack item for this island). It is very rocky. There are... More

My 2 sons and I were fortunate to have 3 days in the cottages at the Village before relocating just before Hurricane Katie struck the island- an experience in itself. The cottages are clean and comfortable and well-designed: storybook almost. Jimmy Fox, the manager, took good care of us and saw to our needs. This is a wonderful, remote spot... More

We almost hate to tell anyone about this spot for fear of not getting a reservation! It's a perfect getaway! One of the most serene places I've been. The cottages are nicely done, immaculate and perfectly situated for maximum chilling. There is a market nearby and nice little kitchen when you want to eat in. We love that the cottages... More

I read about the Bahamian Village from their website but saw few reviews. When we got there and opened the door to our own perfect cabin, my husband kissed me for finding such a great place. The village so far consists of two cottages and a palapa beach bar that serves anything you want from Thurs-Sun, mostly catering to the... More

The Bahamian Village consist of two beautiful cabins and a bar & grill along a beautiful bay on the carribean sea. We were looking for a remote location with ample privacy and this certainly met our needs. However, we were also looking for a beautiful beach, which this lacked. If your only objective is to sit by water, this is... More
