My husband and I celebrated our 50th anniversary at the Rock House, splurging with a full week’s stay. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. Everyone from Romanda at the front desk to Suzanne who made sure every single need was met at the beach and pool and even the smiling housekeepers who made sure our room was spotless, they ALL made this a trip of a lifetime. The rooms are incredible with quality in every detail. The sheets are amazing. The mattress was perfect. (We’ve never slept so good on a vacation.) And the amenities! We are now obsessed with Molton Brown toiletries. We’re going to be buying them just to remind us of our trip to Rock House. But there’s more!! We arrived to a chilled bottle of champagne and a hand written card for our anniversary AND on the actual day, they had the gardener cut us a fresh bouquet of flowers straight from the lush grounds themselves. A side note. Along with the flowers they brought me some fresh cut aloe because they noticed I had a sunburn. At our dinner that night, they decorated our table with sparkle dots and ended the amazing meal with a dessert complete with a huge sparkler. The view at Rock House is without question one of the best spots on the island. Several mornings we took advantage of the continental breakfast, served at any table you desire. Cloth napkins, beautiful dishes, and rich robust coffee, homemade muffins, various fresh fruits and juice. The thing that really made the biggest impression was the daily housekeeping and nightly turn down service. Who does that anymore!! Oh and towels! The thickest towels we’ve ever had at any hotel. plus robes and slippers of course. All in all if we could give Rock House six stars it would be well deserved. Henry, the owner, was a delight but rather busy caring for his wife who gave birth to a baby boy the day after we arrived. He’s a first class gentleman and runs this place with excellence. We obviously would recommend the Rock House to anyone who wants to get some rest, relaxation, and be spoiled every single minute. You add to this the pink sand beaches…yes it’s true, the fun of beebopping all over the island with a golf cart, definitely worth it, and the nightly dinners available all over the island, you simply MUST experience Harbour Island but only if you stay at the Rock House. With gratitude and love for each person there! Chuck and Becky Rycenga…
Cozy room, great dining, easy access to magnificent beach. Loved dinner and breakfast by the pool or overlooking the harbor. The staff was very attentive to all of our needs or requests. Especially like food, beverage and towel services at the beach. Our room provided a super comfortable king bed along with high quality sheets and towels. Great place to rest.
Best meal on the island! The grouper dish was fantastic! All of the staff seemed happy to be there ( which is different from other places) and enjoyed interacting with the people who were dining. I would recommend making your reservation so you can view the sunset!
Our room - Yellow elder - was awful. It was next to the kitchen, the restaurant, and the lobby. We asked kindly to be moved, but they quoted us an 80% increase. I have never had a worse room, especially for almost $600 per night. The staff were pleasant and helpful, But we will never return!
We did not stay at The Rock House, but will likely do so next time, but we had dinner twice here. The food is awesome and the service is stellar. Be sure to have Emerald take care of you! Henry was so inviting as well as the rest of the staff. The food was the star of the show. The blackened halibut is incredible. The views were awesome. It's a must if you are on the island.
The Rock House has recently been revamped and is now managed by the fabulous and extremely professional Teynarae and Henry. My room was spacious with a lovely little terrace which had a great view over the harbour. The most comfortable bed ever too! The restaurant is fantastic - super delicious menu and the cocktails are sublime! Everyone who worked there was very kind and helpful. There is a new buzz about the place and it's obvious that everyone working there loves to work there, which is a really wonderful thing to see and experience as the happy atmosphere rubs off on the guests. Super located - right opposite the harbour (you need help with suitcases to the hotel) and easy walking distance to all the shops and the incredible Da Vine sushi (a must-go). Would highly recommend if looking for a very relaxed and comfortable stay on the beautiful Harbour Island. I had a truly fabulous stay and am already looking forward to going back!…
After many years staying at the Rock House, we weren’t sure what to expect, since it is now under new ownership. Well, we were overwhelmed by the level of professionalism. The new owners, Teynaree and Henry, have taken it to another level. The friendly staff go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible ( and it’s not fake), the vibe is relaxed and happy. As I am a restauranteur myself, i can be overly critical when it comes to food, but the restaurant at the Rock House surpassed my expectations. One of our party, who is vegetarian, asked for a vegetarian pasta (not on the menu), it was perfectly cooked, al dente, flavoursome, just delicious Nothing is too much trouble here, everyone has a “can do” attitude. I would like to mention everyone by name, in particular Romanda at reception, is amazing, super helpful and always on hand to help with requests. We can’t wait to return, until then “keep up the great work”…
The Rock House is such a great gem on Harbour Island. Dinner was fantastic and room was modern and clean with great service. I want to especially thank Ramanda who helped me with my reservation-she is was incredibly kind and I cannot wait to get back to stay and have dinner there! Thank you Ramanda and Henry for making my stay so special. Brittany
Whether you’re lodging here or not the restaurant and bar at Rock House feature excellent food and beverage selections that tastily infuse Caribbean flashes into traditional fare. The service and ambiance - expertly curated and led by Henry, the larger-than-life maitre d’hotel - place this gem above its peers as a destination to while away cool Harbour Island nights.
Our stay at Rock House was incredible. I have never experienced such a kind staff or comfortable room while staying at a hotel. Shout out to Romanda for bringing us hot patties in the last day of our stay. It was a perfect cap to a wonderful trip!
