We hired a car as it was about 15 mins drive, taxi would probably be best option as not sure about bus service, it was very cheap to hire a car though and you can enjoy the beauty of the surrounding areas.

I'm not sure, but the owner is extremely friendly and very helpful wherever he can, so I think that shouldn't be a problem, but perhaps you can ask it first by telephone...
