I stayed at the benarat inn for two nights during my stay in Mulu and absolutely loved it, this was my second time staying there. The first being five years earlier.. the place was beautiful, nothing to flash but perfect for travelers who want a more natural experience while in the jungle. Everyone who worked there were so welcoming making...

Very nice folks. Comfortable room and good food service. Great location. The only disappointment was when the solar fan went off during the afternoon (it had been rainy so there was an insufficient charge).

We loved our stay at the Benarat! The room was basic but clean and the air con and fans worked well. The food was good. We quite liked not having Wifi for a refreshing change and understood wifi is only available in the park or at the Marriott. Eddy was the go to guy, he set up our tours and...

Dear Kajar, Thank you for your positive feedback about Benarat Lodge. We try our best at all times. Yes, in this new age of technology, bookings can be made even 1 minute before check in . However, at this moment , our lodge is still keeping up with technology but as we are in middle of jungle, might as well,...

We enjoyed our stay at the Benarat Inn but it was not quite what we were expecting. The staff were helpful and friendly but the accommodation was basic at best. A lot could be done to upgrade the rooms although the food was very good and the location next to a river was lovely.

Dear Laura, Thank you for staying at our lodge. We are a basic accomodation right in middle of the jungle. Hence, we maintain a basic stay for our guests with our trained staff. Thank you. Regards, Richard

I love the jungle and cave trekking in Mulu Park itself. It was a good experience. The Benarat guide, Maria, was very caring and knowledgeable. She even offered to drive me anywhere since I have no other plan the next morning before my check out. As for the stay, the room was very basic, a good traditional village experience in...

I don't like reviews that list the positives then have a long list of negatives .... But this place needs such and list. Staff (especially Amil) good. Guide good. Room tidy and clean. Fans and insect proof windows great. Food bad sometimes inedible, the same thing with minor variations each day, not sure how much gets recycled to the next...

Dear Philip, Thank you for staying at our lodge. Our contractors are working on the driveways to make it more solid. Yes, we are aware of the condition of the road. We do not recycle our unfinished food to the next day. We throw it away. We fly in the fresh food daily by air from Miri town. As for...

Amenities were very basic and this would have been okay but the price is not basic. Much better and cheaper accommodation in Mulu Park itself. The restaurant staff were rude. On one day morning I arranged for a shuttle to the park and they forgot so as a result I had to walk/run the 2.5km to the park and the...

We stayed here for 3 nights in the fan rooms. Rooms were basic but spotless with cold water and electricity from 6-12pm. From what we understood, this is standard outside the Marriott and Park Headquarters. We did the 2D1N show cave package which is highly recommended and our guide Bonny was talkative, knowledable and funny. We connected greatly with the...

Dear Lai Chai Wei, Thank you for staying at our lodge. Yes, why do you need a 5 star accommodation when the 5 star accommodation is the jungle, the nature, the caves, the flora and fauna and accompanied by the chickens running wild and about at Benarat Lodge. We look forward to your visits again in the near future! Best...
