A hidden Eden in the middle of Riposto. Excellent hosts and the best accommodation we have ever had the pleasure to stay in throughout Italy. We received an extremely warm welcome from arrival to departure and excellent service throughout including arrangement of transfers. Marina & Giuseppe cooked us a delicious traditional Sicilian evening meal and the breakfasts are second to none. The building and decor are superb. We were lucky to see beautiful views of Mount Etna from the gorgeous roof top terrace and the Mediterranean sea from the upper terrace. Camelie is truly the pearl in the oyster of Sicily.

This hidden gem provides beautiful rooms with ornate decor and charming antique furniture. The hosts Marina & Guiseppe took such good care of us with home made breakfast on the terrace and helpful information about the area. We were perfectly placed to watch Etna erupting at night from our terrace and we were lucky enough to see it. Treasured moments.

This was our favourite place on our 2 week trip from Bari to Palermo. Marina and Giuseppe made us feel super welcome; it was like we were part of the family. They pay great attention to serving quality food; we enjoyed our breakfast and on one evening decided to stay in and have their home-cooked dinner which was super-tasty. Throughout our stay we had lots and lots of conversations and learned a lot about the history of the family Palace, of Riposto and the region. Giuseppe recommended us some great red wines; we actually had the last bottle yesterday and discussed our vivid memories of the lovely time we had at the B&B and with Marina and Giuseppe. We really enjoyed sitting on the roof terrace, looking at Mount Etna and enjoying our red wine; on some nights I believe you can see glowing magma streaming down the top of Etna. Our room was also perfect with the AC reminding us of our time in Dubai; we certainly slept very well. Hoping to come back in future - until then we wish Marina and Giuseppe all the best and thank both for the wonderful time.

We spent 4 nights here and Marina and Giuseppe were so welcoming. The house is beautifully restored and full of Italian style, with a stunning terrace, offering perfect views of Mt Etna. Our Deluxe room was so lovely and very large with lots of space to relax. We were treated to a large and varied breakfast every day, including fresh fruits and home-made Italian specialities. Dinner is available here and offers the chance to savour high quality, fresh local produce, prepared to a great standard. We really enjoyed every bite. Our hosts were extremely helpful with suggestions of sites to see nearby, and Giuseppe has a host of tips for wine-lovers! Recommend highly

We can very much recommend this B&B for an unique and unforgettable stay in Sicily. Marina&Giuseppe made us feel at home. We were treated like royals in their beautiful citypalace. It's like staying in a museum and you taste history in both the cosy apartment and the elegant rooms. They prepared us a delicious dinner and breakfast on the terrace with a view of the Etna. They gave us useful tourist information and we used their bikes. The sea, cities and volcano are nearby. Marina&Giuseppe, grazie per l'ospitalità!

If you are looking for personal service and a genuine welcome in Riposte, look no further. And when you go through the internal garden and up the steps to the roof you are rewarded with a stunning view of Mt Etna. I stayed in the apartment, which had a little kitchen and seating area but it's the roof garden that is the jewel in the crown. Host Marina has created an oasis in the middle of the city and it's here you can enjoy a cocktail and appetizer and watch the sun set behind Mt Etna or enjoy a sumptuous breakfast. The other 4 rooms are on this level and all have high ceilings and a wonderful period feel from a house which is nearly 150 years old. The family were involved in distilling in years gone by and they still possess a bottle of brandy from 1925 among plenty of memorabilia from that time. I had not stayed in a B&B for a long time but after this experience I think I'll be trying it a lot more.

I stayed here two weeks ago and was enthralled by the sheer beauty of this place. Every corner sympathetically restored and tastefully decorated to reflect it's age. The original furnishings, paintings and dressings were exquisite. My bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent. My hosts were very attentive and made me feel very welcome. Breakfast was a feast, hot dishes, homemade preserves, fruit, yogurt, cereals, sweet pastries, bread and tea and coffee. I did not want to leave!!!!!!!!!! I would definitely stay again.

Stayed here with friends who had been here before. Three days of the best hospitality, warmth and luxury. We arrived late having ordered a meal in. Gueseppi and Marina had prepared several courses of wonderful home cooked cuisine. Our final night they cooked for us again. A fish meal to die for and such wonderful hosts. The rooms were bueautiffuly furnished. We were so spoilt with a luxurious ensuite bathroom. The terrace overlooked MT Etna and we had full use of the outside space throughout our visit. We shall definitely return. Also the use of a garage is just perfect and all within walking distance of the town.

My husband and I were in the Romantic room for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The room is beautifully decorated and is in the main part of the house, close to the dining room and terrace. There is a private detached bathroom for this bedroom. In retrospect I would have preferred a bathroom in the room, but we had the whole place to ourselves for most of our stay, so it wasn't really a big deal. There were bathrobes for us to use, which was nice. Staying in this B&B is truly like staying in someone's home. The house is gorgeous and historic, and it really is homey. Marina and Giuseppe are lovely people and so incredibly welcoming and helpful. We enjoy an aperitivo one night, with delicious Aperol spritzes and yummy little snacks. Another night, we asked Marina to cook us a seafood dinner. It was absolutely delicious, and so lovely to have home cooking. She and Giuseppe went to the Riposto fish market in the morning and picked up fresh sardines, as well as a whole monkfish. It was definitely the freshest monkfish I've ever had. The sardines were lightly fried and served with maccu, a fava bean mash with wild fennel, then made into a ball and fried, and also some refreshing cabbage with orange. She also made pasta con le sarde, the typical Sicilian dish with sardines, wild fennel, pine nuts, and raisins. The monkfish was simply sauteed and served with mashed potatoes with parsley and olive oil. Dessert was an assortment of cookies and zibibbo (dessert wine). The cost was very reasonable. We did ask for breakfast just one morning. Like dinner, it was lovely and generous, but we were eating so much during the days that we couldn't do a big meal every day. It was a beautiful spread, with homemade cake, yogurt, and jam, plus coffee, fresh juice, fruit, and even scrambled eggs and bacon if you like. As you can see from the photos, the terrace is a highlight. The view of Mt. Etna is absolutely stunning, and the sunsets are memorable. There is so much space for guests to relax out there. They also have a cute, very friendly cat named Arthur. We fell in love with her (yes, she's a female). Riposto itself is a quiet little town. We didn't spend a ton of time there, but did enjoy walking around a bit and found it to be a good home base for exploring the area. We had a good time at Al Bocconcino and Glass. In summary, this is a great choice if you enjoy small, quiet towns and a homey stay in a beautiful, historic house. If you are looking for a 5-star hotel, this is definitely a different style. But if you like a more personal touch with delicious food and a fantastic view, this might be the place for you. We loved it!

We are a family of three and we stayed at the Camelie b&b in May 2017. It is a very beautiful and very welcoming accommodation, a true b&b of charm! It is located in a family palace and situated right in the center of Riposto. It is beautiful, decorated with great taste and with an eye for detail. It makes us go back in time ... It has a wonderful and huge terrace / garden, with a lot of privacy and a breathtaking view on the Etna!! Marina and Giuseppe are the owners and they are fantastic. They make us feel quickly at home and transmit us a feeling of welcome. The breakfast is fabulous, very tasty and varied. Each morning Marina pampers the guests with her home made specialties. There is also the possibility of having dinner at the b & b. I strongly advise to have it, because the dinner is simply divine!!! Mariana and Giuseppe create a super cozy atmosphere and serve a dinner worthy of the gods, with Sicilian specialties and with super fresh and tasty ingredients. The b & b Camelie is a place where people stay and do not want to leave. Many thanks to Mariana and Giuseppe for offering us some fantastic days.Family Peters
