Booking by e-mail was nice and uncomplicated, and when we arrived, we received a very warm welcome and Isobel even parked her car somewhere else to make space for ours. The room was very cosy, and the tips from Isobel for a good place to have dinner were also very good. Breakfast was excellent! Alex makes porridge "to die for",...

Beautifully decorated with a comfortable room (we stayed in the blue room). Breakfast was very good and tasty. Very reasonable rates and such friendly proprietors. Would recommend if you need a place to stay for a night or two while visiting the west coast of Scotland.

What a lovely place to stay. Welcoming ,warm and beautifully decorated. Replete with a Scottish breakfast which set us up for the day. This was a lovely introduction to my mother in laws first visit to Ardrossan and a brilliant find. We were visiting other family in the area. Great location for us and beautiful views from both bedrooms.

I had to stay in Ardrossan at short notice after a ferry cancellation. Alex and his wife took me in at short notice, gave me a key and let me come and go as I needed. He pointed me in the direction of the nearest restaurant to get something to eat. The room was comfortable, warm and had ensuite. I...

My partner and I booked last minute, and still Alexander and Isobel were as accommodating as if we had been old friends. The house is convenient for the Arran ferry, and not so far from Glasgow. Our room was immaculate and had considered the finest of details that a guest might desire - finishing touches including hot drinks and chocs...

Super friendly hosts, Alex and Isabel, can't do enough for you. Comfortable room and a brilliant breakfast, bliss ! I would have no hesitation using it again and probably will. Lots of toiletries supplied if you have been careless and forgotten yours and a good selection of tea and coffee in the room

A lucky choice when the Calmac ferry was cancelled. Walkable but Alex will collect you if required (currently flies a union flag not a saltire, and don't be put off by the approach). He very helpfully gave us a lift to the terminal early the next morning. We didn't have time for breakfast but the room was well decorated and...
