We went to this hotel for afternoon tea. What at treat-it was delicious!A feast for the eyes,it was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. The waitress who looked after us was lovely and friendly but left us in peace to enjoy our treat.I would highly recommend this wonderfully traditional tea with a very modern twist.

Visited here tonight with friends for dinner. Food is fine and certainly plenty on the plate but it felt a little pre packaged, a way of catering which has been bought in. The main course, a burger was excellent but there was a spicy coleslaw which was off putting with it. Pudding was OK but again little thought has gone... More

A birthday dinner for three of us (4 in party) - decided to skip a starter and glad I did as the main meal portion was huge - Steak Pie and chips with veg - delicious. Dessert was a Millionaire Shortbread Sundae - it was also huge and scrumptious! Waitress was lovely, and gorgeous views over the bay as dusk... More

Been here for 2 days. Room had the most amazing view of the beach and water. Staff are wonderful and so friendly. Dinner at the restaurant was great both nights. Breakfast was lovely as well. So glad we stopped here.

Went out for a nice evening meal but it was not as good as expected. We had a combo starter to share which was nice with a good mix. But the main of lasagne was rubbish. Only one layer of pasta and a very poor attempt at a sauce. It was like a child had cooked it at school. Good... More

Went out for afternoon tea with my friend. I had purchased an "itison" deal from the website (costing £12 for people ) the deal included a glass of prosecco each. Laurison is a lovely hotel , we were greeted and had a table beside the window. We were both driving so soft drink was offered as replacement. Within 5minutes out... More

Disappointed with the afternoon tea, plenty of cakes but only 2 sandwich fingers each. The spread on the roast beef sandwiches was so thick it was disgusting. Scones seemed hard not fresh. The waitress seemed bored and uninterested in serving. The only saving grace was the company. Definitely not worth the stated value, we had itison voucher .

My partner and I stayed for a 2 night stay recently as part of a wedding party. The room was lovely and clean and the bed (although it was 2 singles pushed together rather than a double) was very comfortable. There were a few scuffs and marks in the bathroom on the walls, but nothing that would put you off... More

An overnight stay before catching the early ferry. We had bikes with us and they stored them overnight in the ballroom. Location is good for the ferry and for the station, a few yards away. They offered to serve breakfast earlier than usual because we wanted to be away early but in the end we decided to skip breakfast. The... More
