We experienced the usual very high standards that are maintained at this hotel. The location is superb, virtually opening onto the beach and giving splendid views of the southern Scottish coastline. The food served at dinner never fails to surprise by its quality and innovation.

Yes, dogs are welcome to stay with you in the rooms. We stayed here with our border terrier. in a garden view room. They even have dog bags in a dispenser in the grounds. A walk along the shore is a must. lots of interesting smells. I would advise against the longer version of the walk to balcary point as you would have to pass through a field of cows who react badly to dogs. We saw a woman being knocked over by the cows. Take your dog to this hotel and have a great time. We did.

It is a lovely secluded bay, forest tracks as well as the gardens, stretch of beach at the back of the hotel, there is also a cliff walk that can be taken from the hotel, no doubt they could supply you with more information.
