Our family of two adults and two teenagers loved our stay at Chez Ingace. It was our first overnight stop on the Petit Train du Nord bike path. The Auberge is directly accessible from the bike path and you can ride in through the back yard. There is a bike shed to lock up bikes. The grounds have lots of seating with flowers and vegetable gardens. There is a spa and a trampoline, though we didn't use either. The owners are very warm and accommodating, met us immediately and gave us a tour (with covid rules in mind). We had a small but very comfortable room, and it was partly small because of the extra bed squeezed in for our second teenager - greatly appreciated. The room had a surprisingly large ensuite bathroom and everything was very clean. It is an older house so things are a little creaky but everything seems very well taken care of. Our room was very quiet, even with the windows open (there was a window AC unit but we chose not to use it).

The auberge has a path down to the water with a small jetty (no beach) and the lake has a sandy bottom and is nice for swimming. The owners offered access to lifejackets and paddlecraft.

We had the dinner and breakfast that are cooked onsite and both were excellent. I think our family tried all of the options (appetizers, a fish, pork or vegetarian main, and desert) and everything was delicious. Breakfast was tasty and portions very generous. The weather was warm enough that we were lucky to eat dinner on the porch area, which has mosquito netting to keep out the bugs. We would definitely return to this wonderful family-run spot.

We stayed here as part of our P'tit Train du Nord biking trip. Our hosts were not there when we showed up early in the afternoon but had left a kind note offering use of the lake, and we enjoyed a beautiful swim off their dock until they returned. They are both very friendly and welcoming, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rooms included AC and a fridge, a wide selection of beer was on offer, and both dinner and breakfast were incredibly delicious. We hope to be back!!!

We stopped at Chez Ignace as part of a cycling trip on Le P'Tit Train du Nord trail. After a long day in the saddle Cecile and Tony looked after us like we were family - calling us by name when we walked in the door. Our room was clean and comfortable. After a swim in the lake and a cold beer in the back yard we were treated to a gourmet meal on the screened in porch. Our bikes were stored safely in a shed that was literally steps from the trail. Breakfast was another treat in the morning before we continued on our way. Merci Beaucoup Cecile & Tony.

We were there on the Petit Train de Nord. You exit the path right into their back garden! No problem finding them. They are at Km 142 so your first day is a 58 km ride and this is after an early start and a 2 hour bus trip to Mont Laurier. It is a long day.
I would suggest that you stay two days and spend the next day doing a 32 km tour of Lac Nominingue , a 22 km square lake and/or enjoy the kayaks and/or rest after your first day of cycling. The problem with the Petit Train is that there is little time to explore.
The meals are great and the hosts congenial.
I would suggest a room on the second floor.. They are nicely renovated.
I regret not asking another couple to share one of the bottles wines from their vineyard in France. However if you stayed two nights, the hosts would probably let you save half the bottle for the second night's dinner.

Wonderful stay at Auberge St Ignace, our first stop on the P’tit train du nord trail. Delightful hosts, they made us feel very welcome. Although the room was a little small, we appreciated the excellent food and service. We felt it was good value. Vegetarian options were available for dinner and the breakfast was just what we needed to head back out on the trail. We would have liked to use the kayaks on the lake only the weather was not as accommodating as the hosts!

Cecile and Tony go far beyond others in their hosting and meal preparation. They both convey a welcoming warmth and desire to help.

Cecile was so very patient in advising us how to get our bikes and trikes (seven in our group) in their shed. That was important after a long hot day on the trail. Tony was also welcoming and engaging in conversation.

Their meals - evening and morning - were far beyond our expectations. They showed great skill in the tradition of French cooking. The sauce with the roast pork was exquisite!! Along with that was Tony’s ease in serving drinks and food.

The “last course” was an evening stroll across the road along a private path to lac Nominingue. It was an enchanting, peaceful experience.

In summary, you will be delighted with your stay! This is a wonderful gem of true hospitality!

We arrived at Chez Ignace after a long day of riding the shuttle bus from St-Jérôme then cycling 58km. We were warmly greeted by Cécile and Tony who helped us settle into small but comfortable rooms. Some of us opted for a swim in the lake (private access just across the road) before a soak in the hot tub, shower and hearty dinner. There were delicious dinner options for the pescatarians, vegetarians and strict vegan in our group. Breakfast was equally filling and beautifully presented with impeccable service from Cécile and Tony. We have stayed elsewhere in Nominingue before but this will be our first choice next time we ride Le P'tit Train du Nord. Highly recommend! Merci Cécile et Tony!

Friendly, accommodating hosts in a quaint old home right on the P'
tit Train du Nord bike trail. The dinners and breakfasts were delicious, and the hot tub was welcome
after a day of riding. This was the best accommodation we had along the trail.

The host, Tony was amazing and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Our dinner was fantastic! The smoked salmon is done in house and was delicious. 🤗. The rooms were fine, especially welcome was a shower after a day of cycling. Thank you for your hospitality!!

Great stop after a day of cycling with access to lake for a cool off, before lovely home cooked dinner. We chose to have our dinner there and we were very glad we did . Rooms small but charming . The owners really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Breakfast simple but substantial and served beautifully. Highly recommend
