Stayed for 2 nights while visiting family. I was made very welcome. The cottage is in a lovely situation and easy to find on the A75. Great breakfast with eggs from their own hens. Jim and Chris were very welcoming. The cottage is immaculate and parking is easy. Very reasonable rates and lovely sightseeing locally. Thoroughly recommended. Just go!

This is my second visit and it was even better than the first, difinitely in the top 5 for me when it comes to b and b. The place is so clean even the corners, the meals are very carefully prepared and served and everything is available. Again, Christine and Jim, especially Christine go the full mile and beyond to... We stayed at East Brae last year (July 2012) as a group on a charity event. We found East Brae on the internet and booked accordingly. We were made so welcome by the hosts Jim and Christine that when a further charity event was arranged this year we had no hesitation in booking again. Jim and Christine are great hosts... More

We were on a charity trip round the UK visiting 66 Army Bases to raise money for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. One night we could not get accommodation in Army Barracks so stayed here. What a fantastic place it is set in beautiful Dumfrieshire and although near a road it was very quiet. Very clean and great food.... More

We were attending a wedding near Castle Douglas and East Brae Cottage had been recommended by the locals as a good place to stay for B&B. We were not disappointed. We were using sat nav to try and find the cottage (not recommended) eventually we phoned and a friendly voice directed us to our destination. Jim met us at the... More

I was greeted by a wonderful smile a welcoming cup of tea in Christine Dillons kitchen. I had arrived earlier than planned and phoned just to check if this was alright, of course it was came the reply, and I went. This property is on the very busy A75, and I was sceptical.. not to worry when you get in... More

I came up recently for the Kirkpatrick- Macmillan cycle meet at nearby Barnsoul.Arriving on Friday afternoon I was welcomed by Jim and Christine and had tea and biscuits placed in front of me, in just the way that one would do if a friend called and that was just how I was treated even though this was the first time... We received a wonderful welcome when we arrived and were invited to join our hosts Jim and Christine for tea and biscuits in the lounge.
