First impressions as you sight the castle are lovely however the drive up to the castle lets it down as it is badly in need of some work. Check in was prompt and all the staff are very friendly especially Scott who is very funny indeed. On other reviews people have mentioned the creaky floors and this is very true... More

Arrived late at 8.40 to be told the kitchen stop serving at 9.00 so we had to travel into Sterling despite arriving before 9.00! No offer of light refreshments was offered! There is no reception so we had stood at the front hall for 5 mins before someone walked by. No lift so this is not the hotel for a... More

We booked a night for our wedding anniversary, and had a lovely 3 course meal in the restaurant. The tomato and asparagus brushetta was tasty, but very small. The vegetarian haggis wellington was nice, but needed more flavouring. The deserts were lovely, and so was the wine. We had a lovely breakfast in the morning. A lovely professional couple run... nice building, large rooms, majority of staff very friendly. The only negative was the shower grouting had orange mould which needed cleaning off, there was also a large amount of hair in the plug-hole but that was removed by the second day. Breakfasts were really good and staff were very accommodating, especially with veggie options. I would recommend this hotel.

For my daughters 13th birthday we surprised her by taking her here for her dinner. Both my son & I are gluten & dairy free, I am also vegetarian. They made mocktails for the kids & meals not on the menu for my son & I, which were delicious! They made her birthday extra special for all of us!

I booked this castle on a third party site. I had stated I would have two children in the room with me. The following morning I received a call from Scotland where Gavin asked me if I wanted to be changed to a larger room for the kids. I was shocked! The great customer service continued as he emailed me... More

Beautifully appointed tower room (room 9). Made feel very welcome by the manager, who could have done with a little help at breakfast as he had to do meal service and check out (very chatty) guests at the same time. Overall, a beautiful building, great view and we thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay (again).

We stayed one night dinner, bed and breakfast. The food is first class and the staff very helpful. From the outside the building looks very impressive, although the approach road could be better maintained. Our bedroom was very spacious and the bed most comfortable. The common rooms and hallways looked and felt very neglected, a redecorate is badly needed. It... More

Just outside of Stirling past the Wallace monument in a quaint Scottish town at the base of a hill lies the Broom Hall castle. Built in 1874 in the balmoral style this place is truly what you might expect to find in Scotland. Rooms are spacious and the decor is fitting of what you would expect as is the decor... More

We stayed in Menstrie with our two children, age 13 and 10. Broomhall Castle had some helpful staff but seems understaffed. My main criticism is that the building needs some maintenance. There were some water damage on the ceiling and walls in different locations on the top floor, unfinished doors. Our bedroom, room 14 , did not have enough furniture.... More
