We were gifted an overnight stay, after exploring Stirling & the near by Wallace Monument we were given a warm welcome. Due to the age of the building it was explained that the free wifi connection could be a bit patchy in some of the rooms, due to the thick castle walls, but was always available in the lounge. The room...

Stayed here for a weekend. We enjoyed the evening meal and our breakfasts, both hot and plentiful. Staff are friendly but are thin on the ground. The room is clean and you have an abundance of towels but the whole place is tired and in need of refurbishment, especially the creaking floorboards. We were kept awake by the noise of...

My fiancee and I visited this place in November for our anniversary. We absolutely adored it. The room we were provided with was huge, much bigger than we were expecting. As was the four poster bed, given the romantic nature we both have was a great bonus. The staff were welcoming and exceptionally friendly which was a very nice bonus....

Stayed here for night. The room itself was fine- really comfy bed, decor was ok but the carpet was a bit shabby. Attitude of the staff wasn't unfriendly but it was obvious that they didn't care. Restaurant - food was really good - I had the steak and my boyfriend had the venison. They played loud music in the kitchen...

The positive aspects of our visit were that the staff we met were very friendly, helpful and efficient, and the food we had was tasty and generous portions. On the negative side, the hotel is not a castle - it's just a large Victorian house. I can see what the owners are trying to achieve with the decor, but everything...

Internet poor, breakfast wonderful. Elevator wasn't working, was a haul to the top. Room sparce. TV reception non-existent. Disappointment for a "castle" stay. Tough to find. Service only thing saving the place.

Broomhall Castle is by far the nicest hotel i've ever stayed in. My family and i (7 of us in total) travelled up to Scotland from Leeds, Yorkshire, to celebrate my grandparents wedding anniversary and chose to stay in this hotel for a couple of nights. Staff were really friendly and were happy to help with anything. The rooms were...

We had a small wedding in March 2016 and chose Broomhall Castle as the venue for our wedding meal with 21 family and friends and were delighted with our decision. Everything, from initial contact with Gavin to planning our meal with the very helpful chef and then, finally, our wedding day itself went smoothly and was handled professionally, with a...

Okay firstly, I understand that seating a family of 18 such as mine for a new years buffet may be difficult. We booked and paid for this meal well in advance by the way. Upon entering we were told to just find a seat wherever we can. In a room that seats perhaps 80 at most had over 100 people...

Booked as a party of 18 , when we arrived they were asking us to sit where we could . I.e. 2 here 2 there etc. A lady gave up her table so we could get 6 of us together, then grudgingly they put 2 tables together for the rest of the party. So our tables were 3 apart! The...
