It was an amazing experience to stay there. Great idea to transform the train into hostel. Finally I had opportunity to sklep in first class. I love it! I will share this place to my friends in Poland :)

The hosts were friendly and helpful, the accomodation was excellent, querky and different. Wish I had known about this place when the kids were young. If your not to fussy about how you kip this has to be done. I'm telling everyone I know wish we had stayed longer.

Found on the internet. Three of us wanted to fish Shin and Brora on the first two days of our trip therefore the location was central to our plans. Kate was a great hostess. The facilities was excellent. After travelling 536 miles from Wales in two cars all of us had a good nights sleep the beds were surprisingly comfortable....

Fancy sleeping in a train. now your chance. it may be basic but with view and friendly staff what more do you want. This is the best self catering holiday that my kids have had. Well that what they are saying and if you can make three kids happy its got my thumbs up.

Our host Kate was great. Train compartments very comfy beds surprisingly, good facilities on a scale of quirkiness it ranks 10 out of 10. Second night 2 noisy cyclists showed little consideration for others but that is no reflection on the hostel.

I wouldn't have missed this. It took me back to steam train days. We were the only two in our carriage so had the run of the 'slimline' shower, 'social' compartment' and mini-kitchen. It's important to appreciate the setting and not expect the 'Hilton' It was great fun and we received a lovely welcome.

Stayed in Strathisla for 2 nights. Kate welcomed me at the station and gave me a quick tour. Everything lovely and clean. Nice comfy bed, great sleep first night. Good friendly pub nearby serving generous portions. Visited Dunrobin castle and can't rate it highly enough. I left a pair of trousers behind and these were posted to me and arrived...

This was such a novel way to spend the night. It was very well set out and beautifully clean. Kate was a superb hostess who made sure everything was as it should be. Our whole family were charmed by the accommodation, Granny, Granddad, mum dad and 2 little girls. As I have self catering cottages in S.A. I really appreciated...

Stayed a couple of nights in the Glenfidich carriage. Had the best time. A warm welcome from the owner and a quick tour of the facilities and we were set. We took board games and cards with us. So we had a great night chatting playing games and enjoying a glass or two. If u can't live without internet then...
