We have visited sleeperzzz twice now. Having 4 and 5 year old boys you can probably imagine this is the accommodation of choice for them. As adults we love it here too. It's so peaceful and tranquil, no wifi, no tv, no distractions which means amazing time spent together as a family. We played monopoly and the boys completed some... More

Stayed for one night in Strathisla, and wish I could have stayed longer. Very welcoming and the local trains do not bother you one little bit - they are so Quiet, I didn't even hear the first one pull up. Quirky - definitely and a train carriage anoraks dream, but don't let that put you off. For a cheap, clean... More

Motorcyclists on a 'mystery tour' with the accommodation location being kept a secret - what a secret!! On arrival thought there were several trains in the station.... What an excellent idea and use of old rail stock on a siding. The group had a great meal and few drinks in the local pub a short walk away. Chilly at night... More

We stayed in the carriage for two, Strathsia. Really well kitted out and nice and cosy. You have a bedroom, living room (complete with original carriage seats) and a kitchen, with a two ring hob. There's also a bathroom and shower. The beds are narrow but we actually slept better here than at the hotel we stayed at the following... More

It was a lot of fun having our own train wagon, including bedroom, living-room, kitchen, bathroom and shower. The concept is great. Maybe not for a long stay, but definitely good for a one night stop over.

I have been to this place on quite a few occasions the accommodation is basic but more than suitable. Showers, cooking facilities and comfy rooms. One drawback is a possibility of sharing with someone you don't know but people have always been very friendly. The owners are great, very helpful. Was meant to be back up in August, shame I... It's a couple of railway carriages on a siding. You sleep in the bunk beds of the original train cabins. It's a brilliant concept, and a bargain at the price. There's a pub and corner shop within a 5-minute walk, and the Glenmorangie distillery is a short drive away. Who could ask for more?

It's run by a cyclist - she washed and dried our kit for us overnight. The carriages themselves are fun. They're vulnerable to cold weather, but the heating warmed up after a while. Being train carriages, the rooms are all pretty tiny, and this should be considered part of the experience.

Stayed here with 2 of my friends on a biking weekend. A really fantastic and different place to stay. The beds are good and the self catering facilities are excellent also. The pub directly across the road has a great menu and there is also a local Spar for those wishing to go self catering. A really good find and... More

Been here year in year out. Best therapy ever. Totally switched off and relaxed. Great hosts , great setting and whenever we are here the sun shines! Best to come by train then we decide each morning how and where to go. By train, bus, bike or foot.
