Had a lovely holiday, customer service without fault. Looks like change of ownership may be imminent. PLEASE keep character, but up-grade bedrooms and bathrooms sympathetically and to a standard empathetic to the present clientelle - quiet intelligentsia. There is pace for a small swimming-pool.

A large house with a hill top location. Amazing view from our room (2). A really nice terrace with paths leading through the garden (a riot of plants and colour). This path leads down to the beach. A great location for peace and tranquility. Some nice touches in the room (in addition to the tea/coffee) a fridge/mini bar. Drinks can... More

Stayed here for the last few years. We are scuba divers and vary from the 3 of us who have just recently staued to 11 in July. Bill and Jane are absolutely lovely and very accommodating. You are warmly welcomed giving you time to settle in then Bill will make you tea, coffee and shortbread. Then always visited by Gus... More

Love this place. Looked like it should be in a Hercule Poirot story. It stands at the top of the Cliffs Facing North. It is stunning. The Gardens stretch down to the beach which is charming and old fashioned. Reminded me of Childhood! The doorway is impressive and the Arts and Craft staircase is just amazing. This place has character... More

As a group of scuba divers, we have been staying at the guest house for over three years. Each time Bill & Jane have made us very welcome. On arrival we are always given tea & biscuits. Excellent full English breakfast and extras before our days diving. Rooms are clean & well presented with lots of character. The outlook from... More

The house was very elegant and the bedrooms clean and the beds comfy. The dining room looks out over the bay. The lovely lounge had a roaring fire which was lit for us each evening. Bill and Jane made us very welcome and couldn't have been more helpful and obliging. Breakfast was excellent. Tea and coffee and shortbread always available.... More

We had a very warm welcome after a damp days walking. The bedrooms were large and comfortably furnished and we could hardly take our eyes off the panorama through the bedroom and bathroom windows (ask for a room at the front). Delicious, freshly cooked breakfast with lots of choice and fresh fruit. Large lounge and dining room. Delightful gardens too,... More

The rooms in the guest house (and we have stayed in five of them over the last few years) are scrupulously clean; the furniture is elegant, charming and comfortable with a range of antique pieces throughout the house and the garden. The welcome from the hosts is always welcoming. The breakfasts are tasty and served in a dining room that... More
