With the Colintraive Hotel overlooking Loch Riddon, it is a great location for beautiful scenes. The coffee here is not good however. It is very close to the Colintraive to Rhubodach ferry which adds to its attractiveness.

We had visited Dunans castle and as we were leaving we asked about places to eat and we was told about this hotel, and its location, which if you are not catching the ferry the road seems to stop at the hotel apart from a track, the service was first class and the choice of menu was really outstanding, there... My wife and I always visit the Colintraive Hotel 4 or 5 times over the summer, making use of the well maintained and free boat moorings. The food is always great and the owner and staff very welcoming. Thoroughly recommended.

This hotel is so special. The moment you walk in you feel at home - the house is so welcoming and comfortable at the same time as being very stylish with beautiful furniture and lots of small details. The fact that visitors return for repeat visits says it all. I had a fabulously comfortable room overlooking the sea with a... More

Our third visit and another lovely break. From the minute we arrive, Patricia personally meets you and shows you to your room. We especially like the large comfortable kingsize room with a view overlooking the Kyles of Bute. The food is always good, and Patricia and her staff are always on hand to ensure we have a comfortable and relaxed... More

Lovely place. Great food (the steak pie was delicious!!) Spent a few hours sat by the wood burner after dinner. Perfect after a wet day on the water. Nice staff who looked after us.... great location to go for walks or sailing. Would love to come back one day.

Stayed at the hotel for the second time this summer. As lovely as the last time. The food is amazing, the staff are top class and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Thanks for having me! The salmon salad is highly recommended for lunch and the homemade steak pie is a real treat! If you have any space left the... More

A group of us stopped her for a week as a base for cycling and various activities from 10/9/16 to 17/10/16. Having been here before we are used to the friendly relaxed atmosphere & nature of the hotel, but it seems to be better each time we stay. Staff have a great local knowledge of the area & activities and... More

We arrived on the Saturday afternoon and had a warm welcome from the Owner Patricia and her lovely bar staff. We stayed at the holiday home two doors down with another 7 friends. Everything was to our satisfaction we had a meal at the pub/ hotel twice and it was delicious. The only unpleasant time we had was when a... More

We have just returned to the Colintraive Hotel for our 5th visit. It is in the most beautiful and peaceful setting. We love the intimacy of the hotel and the excellent, cheerful and efficient service provided by Patricia and all of her team. We have always been given a warm welcome (our dog too!) and it is one of our... More
