We recently stayed a single night at the Loch Kinrod Hotel with family visiting the highlands. A warm welcome on arrival and excellent service throughout our stay. One of the party needs a wheelchair to get around and effort was made to ensure that he was comfortably accommodated. Dinner was relaxing with a good choice of food -- and an... More

W stayed just for night for a getaway. The hotel was quiet but we were greeted by a very friendly lady who got us a.drink while she checked in another couple. Sat in front of the fire with hamish and morag! Our room was cosy and clean and nice laid out and decorated. Spa bath was fab. Lovely way to... More

This was our first trip to the Highlands, which we found beautiful and well worth the visit. We thought this hotel looked quite good on the website, but found it disappointing and expensive for what it was. The bedroom was far too small for a four poster bed. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable and I had four poor... More

We stayed here for two nights with our baby, it was quite a last minute booking due to events going on in the area (Ballater). The hotel was easy to find on the main road through Dinnet and there was parking round the back. The hotel was clean some in the process of being done up but there was signs... More

There are so many places to choose from. And so many places to visit in Scotland. We wanted to see the south east portion of the national Park. We found it to be much quieter than the more developed West region of the Cairnsgorm national park. The hotel is a little dated and worn. Our host was delightful, and our... More

We stayed at Loch Kinord Hotel for 2 days during the Breamar Games and enjoyed wonderful food in their dining room for 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners, warm hospitality from the owners, and gracious comfort in the rooms. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this part of Scotland!

Welcoming and attentive with well cooked tasty food...just what is needed after a 4-5 mile walk around near the beautiful surroundings. Try the salmon linguine with crayfish..delightful. Reasonable prices too. Worth visiting if in the area

We stayed in this cozy hotel during the Highland Games. Lovely clean room and fine bathroom. Not least the beautiful terrace made our stay cozy. Here we sat in the morning before breakfast and enjoyed the nice weather. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was well cooked and well served. We were a... We have enjoyed wonderful accommodations during a two week trip throughout Scotland with one gaping exception- the Loch Kinord Hotel. This hotel - at least our room - was well past its prime. Although some of the hotel has been remodeled, our room was completely neglected. Peeling wallpaper, poor lighting, tired decor, and THE ABSOLUTE WORST mattress and pillows in... More
