An impressive building with stunning views, conveniently located adjacent to the nearby holiday village. Walked from the village to this pub for dinner one Sunday evening - was quite busy so we sat in the larger hall style room, there was no music on in here (was in other rooms) so lacked atmosphere. Homemade curry and pie decent enough, the... More

I've visited this place several times over the years and seems busy, which is not that easy to find in a country pub. But they have a captive audience, none the less the beer is good and there's a games room if you have kids. So suitable for all ages

We stay at the nearby cabins and have been to this pub many times and have never been disappointed before. As previous reviews say its recently changed hands so we are hoping this is teething problems! I'm really sorry to say but the food was terrible, it was on a parr with bad school dinners. The menu is delivered on... More

Staying at the log cabins down the road from this pub that is under new management, nice easy walking distance. Friendly staff and lovely food, great prices too. The views when sitting outside are beautiful! We would recommend a visit if you are near or staying at the log cabins.

Visited while staying in the local log cabins with our two year old daughter. Pub under new management, very friendly couple - obviously still busy getting set up etc but food and service were faultless. They were really eager to please .. we are vegetarian and they were happy to make us a pasta dish not on menu to cater... More

3rd visit to this pub and the 1st under new management. they have only been running the place for a few weeks and are therefore short of a few bits and pieces but the atmosphere was excellent and the service was very friendly and attentive. The beer and food was much better than before. looking forward to coming back.

Popped up for a couple on a sunny evening. What a shambles. No this no that with a superior attitude. Seems like we were doing THEM a favour!! IT'S NO FROM ME!! Don't know when or if they are going to do any food in the future

We stayed at a friends log cabin this weekend just gone. We ate at the pub on the Saturday evening and again for Sunday carvery ad we'd heard such good things....we weren't disappointed on either occasion. On the Saturday evening, staff were attentive and the food was delicious! The portions were huge and food most tasty. I had the lamb... More

Had heard great reviews about the Sunday carvery, so took my daughter and son in law there as a treat. Was really disappointed and embarrassed as the beef was inedible, literally as tough as old boots- couldn't get the knife through it. The broccoli and cauliflower were practically raw, the only good thing was the mashed potato. Won't be going again

Warm & friendly staff. After a full day out biking or walking & if you're staying nearby then for a drink & good food you can't beat this place. Portion sizes are extremely good & I can't usually eat it all! Good job I have the other half with me to finish it off for me
