Stayed one night and used the restaurant. The rooms are in a barn/ outhouse conversion. Large room, very modern and appeared recently refurbished with quality soft furnishings. Very quiet, only noise was the wind in the trees. No mobile signal, slow free wifi, freeview TV. £90 couple B&B. Inn itself is very much olde-worlde. Restaurant was restful and service was... More

The location is amazing. Beautiful place, peaceful and quiet. The Inn is charming, our room was adequate, nicely decorated but a little dusty. The bathroom was quite large but I couldn't understand why there was the smallest of showers. Over our three day stay we found the food and service to be hit and miss. We had two wonderful meals... The Stackpole Inn provides access to one of the most beautiful parts of the U.K. and for me this is the reason to visit not the Inn itself. That is not to say the Inn does not some very redeeming features. The food in the restaurant is very good, broad selection with fish specialities excellent and the chance to sit... More

4 of us had a lovely afternoon meal here this week. 4 different dishes, all very nice. Service was good, beers were ok, with a nice choice of food and an excellent fish/specials board. We sat outside but the inside was very nice and welcoming. nice toilets, etc. Recommended.

My husband and I came here whilst staying at Fresh Water caravan club site .We'd been away from home for 3 weeks and craved a Sunday lunch. Decided to give this place a try, well so glad we did. The food was far beyond our expectations. The staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere warm and inviting. If you're in the... More

Stayed here given the reviews on this site. The booking process was simple but no confirmatory email came - an IT glitch but we did have accommodation. The accommodation was adequate. It was not wow as the beds were not that great. The ensuite shower was fine. The room and the accommodation block which is separate to the inn does... More

I'd wanted to stay here before but couldn't get in and ended up somewhere mediocre. No wonder, the Stackpole Inn offers lovely accommodation, beautifully presented, and the owner couldn't do enough for us. Dog-friendly in the bar.

Restaurant and food was good but not great. Rooms in separate and recently converted building were really well appointed and very comfortable. However, there are no landline phones in rooms and there is little or no mobile coverage in the area. Thus no commication from rooms is possible. So in an emergency, fire or medical, things would be very difficult.... More

My Wife and I recently stayed at a nearby holiday cottage (with dog) for the week. We visited the Stackpole Inn most evenings and the food was outstanding. The Sunday roast beef was melt in your mouth, the steak was gorgeous and fish and chips on Friday was one of the best ever. The owners and staff were very friendly... More

Really enjoyed our midweek stay at this tranquil location close to the Stackpole Estate. Lovely staff led by a perfect host, very good food in the restaurant, beautifully cooked breakfast. Four spacious and near identical well appointed rooms are in a separate building next to the restaurant ( wifi in the rooms would be advantageous ). Great location for country... More
