I chose this place to be the last stop on our tour and it was a perfect end to our holiday. Our room was lovely, the food was reasonably priced and cooked to perfection. The staff were really helpful and so polite and welcoming. I loved the surrounding area and the little village the pub sits in. I'm going back... More

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch to celebrate a 50th birthday with family members ranging from 13 months to 84 years old. Excellent service - friendly and attentive with nothing too much trouble. Good quality food - light eaters beware, the portions can be generous. Wonderful scenic setting in a beautiful part of the country. Highly recommended.

This was a nice looking place when we drove past it first time, and was worth it when we stopped for an afternoon snack on the way back. We only had a drink and a couple of starters, but the added benefit of serving food till 2:30pm helped. We could have had most items, as it was a touch after... More

We stayed four nights in August so we could explore the local area. The Bell, although in a rural location, is well placed to explore the nearby national park and also the nearby Welsh castles and towns. The rooms - first class, clean, and great value for money. The restaurant - dinner was excellent. There is a good selection of... More

My Dad (91) was thrilled to find brill on the menu. He said it was delicious. I shared an antipasti platter which was generous and very attractive. The restaurant / bar were stylishly decorated. Recommended.

We've just spent a wonderful weekend at The Bell. Our room, Tups Indispensible, was beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed and tasteful antique furniture. From the moment we arrived the service was highly attentive; Maria greeted us with a warm welcome, was always friendly and helpfully recommended local walks. The food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble... More

Took a chance, well worth it, excellent service and food. the gravy is made with corn flour, great if coeliac. Put a parasol up at our table for us as we were in some rare sunshine, And Kylie( not sure on spelling) the aussie waitress is great.

Not quite sure how to approach this. We had called in for a sunday morning coffe and were greeted bya friendly Australian lady who made us feel at home. We had a good cup of coffe and decide we would like to return for a meal sometime. Well, the food was ok, the service was slow and nothing like we... More

Well the Landlord is taking the trouble to respond to you personally. The food is all freshly cooked to order so it is never going to be " fast food". If you think we are expensive I could happily supply a list of local restaurants who are more expensive but not necessarily any better or faster than us. Food which... More

This was the third time we have stayed at The Bell, although the first two were more than 8 years ago. We enjoyed re-visiting in almost all respects: the room was excellent, with crisp linen and fluffy towels, and the staff were welcoming. The hotel has changed hands in the intervening period and we particularly looked forward to Dinner, which... More

Thank you for your review, I too had Lamb last Sunday and was disappointed by the mint sauce, it will all be home made in future so please accept my apologies. Constructive criticism is always welcomed and acted upon. More

A last minute business trip to South Wales meant an overnight stay. This hotel was in the right location and fitted the bill perfectly. A quick phone call and a reasonable overnight rate for dinner, bed and breakfast was agreed. The staff were very welcoming without being 'in your face'. The room was very comfortable and way better than any of... More
