The room was comfortable and plenty roomy. It overlooked the beach and had a large porch with loungers. The AC and hot water worked great. Likely the best part was the staff! The most extremely accommodating and friendly people I have ever met. I will be back in no time.
Truly enjoyed my time here. Room was really nice, white and pristine. Jermaine and his wife were wonderful hosts. The views from the ocean facing rooms are absolutely stunning all day long. Conveniently located in Cockburn Town it's close to everything you need in town.
We stayed at Sand Hotel . Staff, accommodation, food, ocean front rooms, walking distances from the airport. Everything is 5 plus stars. I will recommend it 100%. San Salvador is a very small island but people are very nice.
I Loved this Hotel. Very clean and the staff is amazing and friendly. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are furnished really nice. The beach and the water are like heaven!!! The owners go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. My entire family from age 2 to 70 enjoyed this hotel and island! We were there in April for 2 weeks. I’m a repeat visitor with my family.
Warmful, confortable design, delicious meals, rooms directly on the beach, professional service from all the team, heartful administration. Planning to go back! Chaleureux, design confortable, repas délicieux...
We are repeat guests. We love Hilton and Margonda. We enjoy their island. And the fishing is absolutely second to none.!!! Bring your mask snorkel and fins. You will not need a scuba tank unless you choose to. Plenty to see and do in less than 40 feet. Wahoooooooo!!!!!!!!
We were doing some work on San Salvador, and stayed here for a few nights. The rooms were nice and very clean. The outdoor balcony was great, and the beach right next to the hotel was pretty nice. We had some issues with our business credit cards, and the staff were very accommodating in helping us.
My Family and I were booked for 10 day. We loved it so much we stayed 3 weeks. We had 2 beautifully decorated very clean rooms both with kitchens. The beach is very beautiful at the hotel and the water was a pretty turquoise color. The staff could not have been nicer! Robbie was a wealth of information about the island and things for us to do for fun and relaxation. From the minute Robbie picked us up in the golf cart at the airport we knew we were lucky to meet him. He went above and beyond to make our vacation great. I recommend going to the tiki bar (have BlackBeards Piña Colada it's so good) on the property and talking to Robbie and some other lovely Bahamians about the island. You will learn so much and make great connections to go boating, scuba, jet skiing, picnics and many other things to do. Robbie even sent my sister and I to an amazing Spa on the Island! The house keeper was so nice and polite. She made us feel like we were old friends and she kept our rooms spotless. The people in the office were very gracious and willing to do anything to keep us happy. There was some rebuilding going on due to some storm damage. But it was only at the office and certainly did not bother us at all. It actually added some local charm as the men working construction were very pleasant too. I can not say enough about this little gem of a hotel. It's paradise and the island has the most beautiful beaches and very nice people. We cooked in the rooms with food we got from the grocery in town and we also ate at a few local restaurants. We are booked to come back in July. Can't wait…
I loved this resort. My living accommodations were clean & updated. Not over clustered with furniture. My bed was soft & comfortable. I had my very own fridge, stove, microwave & toaster with cable tv and the room was still spacious. The owner & staff were very accommodating despite a few minor set backs. Everything got taken cared of. Excellent value for the money. Overall I would return and bring someone with me.
We stayed at the Sands Residence Hotel last month. We booked the trip thru Bahama Go and they evidently never passed this info along to anyone at the Sands so there was no one to meet us at the airport. Not a problem, We had a local person drive us the one mile to the hotel. We were greeted by one of the worker reconstructing the restaurant on the property who opened up the room for us. Eventually, our main man Robbie showed up and helped get acclimated to the property and island highlights. If you are expecting any kind of luxury or even basic services (like housekeeping, clean towels, etc) this is not the place for you. We were not expecting many services so this was not a problem for our group. The best thing about San Salvador were the beaches (which were awesome) and the extremely friendly Bahamian people. Maybe the happiest and nicest people I have ever been around. The island is still recovering from the hurricane in October 2015 so there is still a lot of damage. At the Sands, we felt totally on our own and it felt like we rented a private residence and had to arrange for food on our own. We cooked several nights and ate at the Paradis Restaurant for some local cuisine. Get to know Angela, she is an awesome cook and a very nice person. Although the beach in front of the Sands is landlocked, it is still great and very private. We rented a car and took advantage of all the other awesome beaches on the island. Overall, our stay was great and would most definitely stay there again. I have to give a shout out to Robbie who is not only the hardest working guy ever but a great helpful person. He helped make our stay there very nice. Thanks again Robbie!!!…
