Great trip. Riding Rock is enough off the beaten path that crowds are nonexistent. The water and beaches are amazing. Diving is fantastic. Lots of reef life and beautiful topography. We saw sharks on every dive and even spotted an occasional hammerhead. Food was good. I would have liked more fish or vegetarian options on the menu. Staff is friendly... More

We just got back from a week at the Riding Rock Inn and Marina. The diving with Guanahani Divers was one of the best dive experiences. Schultz and Hogan were knowledgeable and made sure that each dive was not only unique, but also safe. The night dive was one of the best I have ever been on. The boat was... More

Hogan the dive master was incredible!!! Diving was like no where else!!!! Sharks! Sharks! Breathtaking reefs and wall dives!!!! Resort old and worn, falling down and dangerous in a few spots. We did not drink the water. Food ok...lots of fried, not much fresh items. The conch chowder they serve every lunch is addictive. Drinks expensive in the little bar... More

While staying on San Salvador as part of a College study abroad trip I was fortunate enough to be able to do a dive with Riding Rock. I still to this day have not done a better dive trip. I highly recommend the diving and crew at riding rock! We did a two dive trip and went through a lava... More

The Riding Rock has been in operation for a long time, and some of the facilities are showing their age... so what? Like a comfortable old pair of boat shoes, the Riding Rock is there for you to step right in. Not patent leather, not highly polished, just plain old comfortable. I actually came during a slack week and had... More

Thank you so much for the post, but a Ritz on San Sal? That would mean trading in the “old pair of boat shoes” for Ferragamo’s. Perish the thought! We do wish you had been able to be here when we had more divers in house but greatly appreciate your being flexible in your arrangements with Captain Bruce. We’re working... More

If you expecting all of you luxuries of home this is not the place for you. Realize that you are traveling to an out island in the Bahamas and things are expensive to get there and hard to come by.You will have some bugs which is expected when staying at an out island. With that said the rooms are basic... More

We do apologize for the insect debris you encountered upon arrival. Even when the rooms have been previously cleaned, we always do a “freshening up” right before a new guest arrives – so not sure how your room was missed. But we do appreciate that you let us know right away so we had the opportunity to correct this error... More

Excellent stay. Rooms are well kept annd serviced. Michelle and staff could not have been more helpful, friendly or acomadating. I was the only person there for awhile but when others arrived I was provided an excellent fresh dinner of Wahoo and veggies.

Being off the beaten track we don’t often have crowds, generally in the 6 – 30 guest range. But glad to hear you enjoyed yourself – even for the short while you were all by yourself! Please come see us again More

I showed up at the hotel, and there was only one other couple there - should have been a clue. The room was more surprising. The sliding screen door on the waterside of the room had rusty rollers that wouldn't stay in the track. The A/C unit is noisy, which was good since they put a group of people on... More

As a dive and fishing group-oriented resort, we generally do not accept reservations for individuals, unless we already have a group in house. However when someone arrives on our doorstep, on an island with few accommodation alternatives, we would be remiss to turn anyone away. We do apologize about the issues with the sliding screen doors. Try as we may... More

I went there for business, the hotel rooms are very outdated, decent, while there they had a power outage so no water. Then no wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby and restaurant, the food was good, the lady at the front desk was really nice! The hotel is very close to the airport, 5 min drive to the... More

We do appreciate your staying with us, but would be the first one to admit we are not a resort set up for business travelers. In fact being a business ourselves, we feel for those who must travel to any of the out-islands for business, as intermittent power outages are the norm rather than the exception, and as with most...
