Unbelievable stay at the resort. Staff was amazing and Chris in concierge sent us in the right direction for a day excursion! She is amazing and just a wonderful person. The beautiful supervisor in the dining room was kind and they all went above and beyond in service. The hotel itself was so relaxing and clean. Our room was an oven view with a patio and was spotless. Air worked great. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean was warm and inviting. Our bartender made the best drinks and had good information on things to do on the Island and just local Information. We will be back. We fell in love with the place and the people!

The property infrastructure puts the safety of guests at risk. For example, the light fixture in our bathroom started pouring water like a shower head while the lights were on. We called for help twice, and then finally, my husband went down to the lobby looking for help. It was a very scary and dangerous situation, and that was only one of the unfortunate events that showed that the property had no appropriate management. Another one was glass inside the pool, and the events just kept piling up. The room smelled so bad. The air-conditioned would not cool the room, and the dehumidifier was noisy and blowing hot air. The TV didn't work, and this was one of the best beach front suites. We had the all-inclusive package, but the meals offered were limited and cheap. You could also tell the food items were being recycled like the parfait that wasn't eaten in one day you could see on the next breakfast with so much whey separation that was disgusting 😳 . The sad part about this property is that it has so much potential and, under good management, could be the reason why you would want to go to the Grand Bahama Island.

Stayed at the resort through Margaritaville at sea cruise and stay all inclusive package for two nights for our anniversary. The resort has some maintenance issues, AC wasn’t working in our first room so they moved us to another room that had the same issues, never got below 76 in room. Room was basic older decor and very musty smelling but clean. Room stayed very moist. It appears they have some roof issues too. Beach and pool and grounds are very beautiful though. Food was very low quality and dinner was a buffet where most food wasn’t very hot and wasn’t very tasty. Pizza place was the best food options but wasn’t open on Sunday due to their Sunday brunch which wasn’t included for us and would have been extra like $50 pp. didn’t seem worth it based on previous dining room experience. Bar- only one bar option during day which outside Waves bar, very low quality liquor and beer offerings. And drinks weren’t very good and one bar couldn’t handle crowd. Took an hour or more to get a drink on first day when they had all the day pass guest. To me they need a separate bar and staff for resort guest vs day guest. Wouldn’t recommend this resort. It has great potential, someone needs to invest and buy this place to take it over. Not being ran properly which is sad.

The property is beautiful. The Beach is very clean and there were plenty of seats for the beach or pool . It is very quiet, even when the cruise ship people come visit for the day. We had a fraternity there that was rowdy but there is enough space that they did not bother me. We were thankful that the market place was so close because the food was less than desirable for dinner. Breakfast was decent. The chef making the fresh omelets was great. Lunch was fine but dinner offering were just DISGUSTING. The spa is great. Tenille did such an amazing job with a 80 min massage. the chefs and bartenders at the pool bar work their butts off to accommodate resort and cruise guests. If you are just looking for a nice , relaxing place, this is it, but not for foodies AT ALL

The rooms are good, the beach is amazing, and most of the staff are very friendly. However, the manager, Claude, is terrible. The all inclusive is basically a rip off. Drinks are hard to get. The food is straight up bad - we had four days of straight buffet food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner before we fought to cancel our all inclusive. I think this place is a good a stay, but DO NOT get the all inclusive and if you’re trying to get a drink at the bar, good luck. Just finding where to get a drink is a challenge because they open and close their bars like whack a mole. The cool thing is the location though. You can go off the resort and find great restaurants, bars, and convenience stores. Maid, pool, and some front desk staff are fantastic.

Hands down the best resort experience! The service was outstanding. The facility was incredibly clean. The food was delicious and fresh. I don't usually do reviews, but I was so impressed with this resort that I had to write one. We had originally planned to go on a Monday through Friday. The placed was sold out due to it being spring break. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to travel Wednesday to Saturday. I was worried we wouldn't have a room Friday night. However, the resort made it happen! From check in to check out, our needs were met almost before we could ask. Whether it was opening a door, guiding us personally to where something was located, or seeing us trying to take a selfie and running down to the beach to do it for us...they were always attentive. The staff was always working hard and so friendly. The resort was spotless! They were always cleaning. Even the lifeguards were picking up trash, sweeping sand from decks, and cleaning. The resort felt secure and safe. There were guards and staff at many points just watching out for everyone. The food was amazing and so fresh. Nothing tasted frozen. There was a variety of island food, American cuisine and desserts. It would have been nice to have a couple more choices of restaurants or sit down service versus buffets. But there was a large convention, so we understood. Plus, many haven't reopened since Covid. I know they planned to open the pizzeria soon. Our dining experience was still wonderful! The resort and grounds are gorgeous. The pool was a little cold, but stunning to look at. It was literally perfection. It wasn't too crowded and many options for shade if needed. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Everyone including our 10 year old daughter and 18 year old son had an incredible time. We highly recommend and can't wait t go back.

The resort is “Hit & Miss” the resort is still recovering from previous hurricane’s which hit the area. Only one side of the resort is in operation. Local shops within walking distance or a short ride. Most of which was closed on Saturday & Sunday. Check in was easy, the clerk was very attentive & welcoming. The beach access was just steps from our room, DJ was live and played a variety of music, the bar area was top notch, food was good as well—- staff did their absolute best to keep up with the demand. Dinner for the evening was great — great menu, drinks & cocktails were excellent. First night the exception that our door would not lock and could be accessed from the outside & maintenance had to repair it so that made me very uncomfortable (was not move to a new room). Day two breakfast was good, staff was attentive. Booked a day tour through the concierge in the lobby….very disappointed as we did not get to see any of the things in which she mentioned—- only toured the local neighborhoods so I guess that was the city tour — the driver kept getting phone calls during our tour. The second night stay was “HORRIBLE”!!!! Children were running & talking loudly outside our doorway. About 10pm noise from upstairs sounded like a wrestling match, almost to the point like someone was throwing furniture, after about an hour we Called security. There were several large groups with children & this put a damper on our R&R time. People really should control their kids!!! Or the hotel staff should separate or put them away from other guess. Up on check out we waited & waited for a taxi which the desk clerk say she call or a shuttle that never came, people were been dropped off but no one was taking anyone back to the port….finally the gentleman that had been waiting the entire hour that we sat waiting on a taxi decided to drive us back to the port. SMH wow! Items for sale at the port are very over priced! Even on the last day it seems as they were hurting for a sale.

Grand Lucayan greeted us with open arms and happily accommodated our hotel shuffle. Hurricane Dorian and COVID all but destroyed tourism but you’d never know by the warm welcomes, joy and optimism shared with us. Darrell, Kendra and Christopher were some of our favorites (only to name a few, we wish I could remember all our friends names) so much it was actually sad to say goodbye. Amenties: lap pool, one swimming pool (so easy & safe to find your older kids, no hunting around like a big resort), shuffle board, chess and a fun DJ who keeps it family friendly while still fun for adults. The food! It was all fantastic. Want a drink? Name it and they’ll make it. No one batted an eye when my mother downed at least three cases of Light Sands in a can during our 3 day stay. The grounds of the hotel are absolutely stunning from the view of your room, the restaurant or the beach & pool. The rooms are immaculately clean. The beds are comfortable. The towels are plush. The hotel is safe. While they recommend it, honestly we never felt the need to lock our first floor sliding door and easily went in/out to the beach without any worries. Lastly, during our stay we had pleasure of seeing some very important guests at the hotel. Aside from our own self consciousness that we should cover up & look more fancy, the staff never once made us feel less worthy or unimportant. Our service maintained the A+++ quality despite the pressure they probably felt to make everything perfect for their other guests. I love to travel. I’ve seen awful hotels, mediocre hotels and wonderful hotels. This hidden gem is hands down in the top 3 - not just for all of the above but for everything I haven’t including due to space. We wish them only the very best and hope we can return one day with the same ambience as this stay.
