The incredible staff is the draw to this resort. Let's start with the entertainment crew. They are absolutely amazing! They are so friendly, kind, energetic, and talented! Being around them is a joy. After just a week here, I cried the last day feeling as if I was leaving my new family. They work tirelessly from early in the morning until late at night with yoga, pool aerobics, games, and fabulous shows in the evening, culminating in an after party until 1 or 2 am. Special shout outs to a fabulous dancer, Julia, great emcees KJ and Daddy Cool, the beautiful aerialists Sabri and Oriana, and the super fun Jamie, Chelsey, Jedd, and Blake. They are all just a wonderful international group of people. From the guest services team, special thanks to Sami and Melina for going above and beyond, along with their manager, Kelvin. And if you eat at the specialty restaurants, you'll be very lucky to get Carol -- the nicest waitress in the biz!! If I have anything to add to their activities, they might want to move some games or other event to the beach. Not everyone wants to be poolside. And the location is ideal. Beautiful beach with the rare beach walker trying to sell something. Maybe add some umbrellas for shade? Now for the negatives -- As other reviewers state, the facilities are beyond dated. While ideally they would close down for a while and completely renovate and improve the infrastructure, I would settle for relatively inexpensive enhancements -- new mattresses and bedding, towels in the rooms that weren't threadbare, updated furnishings, replacing missing essentials like a toilet paper holder, door locks, etc. Change out everything that is stained, chipped and MOLDY. And it would be nice to have the little things most people expect to have in a resort guest room -- hair conditioner, body lotion, shower cap, etc. The food - while some of it was simply awful, it wasn't as bad as some reviewers wrote. But reducing the grease and getting the food hot would greatly improve things. (Why is it cold coming right out of the kitchen to the buffet? Has it been sitting on the counter in the back for an hour?). In addition, it would be nice if there was a true outdoor dining option. Just a personal preference, but I always like being able to sit outside on a beautiful day in the Caribbean, especially for breakfast. In sum, don't expect this to be the Ritz. It certainly is not. But you couldn't find better people working anywhere. And the location is ideal. If the owners put some money into the facilities, this could certainly rival any of the better all inclusives. …
