The Dj’s Angel & Erik always kept us dancing and the guys at the sport house (Homberto, Mike, Yair, Ulises, Amary, Ian) took us on the catamaran and hosted all the water sports!...

...Also they blast music until 2am which can be heard in any room on the resort...

...The rooms can be updated but who cares why are you trying to be in them so much!?...

...Seeing that there were issues from day one they have to be listed: First off, we arrived early for check in and came to find out that they gave us a double-bed room... Upon arrival to the new room, we found that the sheets were covered in mold and the bed was filled with sand... Keep in mind that this is after we were assured that the new room was ready... Then after seeing our disgust, he then said that he would bring someone to the room to pick it up and replace it, which never happened... Third, we found ourselves having to go back and forth to front desk (at least 6 times) to get our room key reprogrammed, because it rarely worked with our door... Coming from hospitality, we are aware of room keys looking the programming from being close to other cards, phones etc... From unfriendly staff to terrible service and poorly maintained rooms, I think it is safe to say that the place is poorly managed...

...The rooms needed some upgrading, they were clean but old (loud air conditioner, sticky doors, door knobs fell off), but we didn't really spend much time in them...

...Everything still worked perfectly fine in my room, and I came across very few issues across the resort, and they were always handled promptly if you were nice, respectful, and considerate of the fact there are a hundred things they need to do in a day... All the rooms had a shared door that was extremely thin, so you could hear all conversation, this includes neighbors who stumble in drunk at 3 a.m. while you're trying to sleep... Housekeeping was definitely keeping rooms clean, just maybe a bit too much...

...The door didn’t lock from the inside and there was a connecting door to the room next to us, but only 1 door it wasn’t double doors, we had the deadbolt on our side and it seemed as if I was to unlock deadbolt I could walk right into the neighbors room!!...

...The room was dirty and had damage, The hair dryer didn’t work and we didn’t even get shampoo or conditioner until night time...

...I told them that they should give guests a heads up before booking to let us know that we are not able to use the facilities on certain days when we get here...

...The bad: Noisy AC, can hear most of what is going on in the room next door due to a door to adjacent room. Rooms were never really cleaned properly...

...Once we arrived to the hotel around 10 am, the rooms were not ready but we directly received our bracelets, so that we could enjoy our day... They went over and beyond to make our stay great!... Room was cleaned daily with clean towels...

...The beds were terrible and when we brought this up to guest services they threw a different key card at me and said "Here's an upgrade see if you like it better". Well we went to check it out and it was an occupied room!...

...We were always helped very well and they responded very well to our requests (room exchange, make baby porridge warm, etc.)... The only negative point was that our room had a connecting door...

...You arrive and end up in the longest line up with a hundred plus others only for them to give you a wrist band and tell you to come back at 3:00 pm to line up again to get your room key…... The rooms.. the beds were comfy, the negative is the walls are paper thin and there is no privacy... We had room 1134, great view looking over trampeze and ocean and was not an upgraded, very convenient near entertainment...

...Our room was dirty and had two queen beds instead of our request for a king room... He did offer to move us to a king room but not until our last night... Also they blast music until 2am which can be heard in any room on the resort... It was so bad we booked another hotel room on our last night to get some quiet...

...* No privacy rooms with walls you can hear neighbors speaking and smell cigarette smoke through (this was upgrade ocean view room)...

...The rooms are horribly dated and in disrepair. We had two rooms (adjoining) and neither room safe worked... Both room doors had 1/2 inch gaps at the bottom of the door so that bugs could easily crawl in... They need to put major money into renovations and guest services...

...We checked in at about 1:30p cause we were told our room was ready, but after we request a room change to be closer cause my friend knees and feet couldn't take the long walk we were given new keys to different room, but the room was not clean, and after 2 hours we was still waiting on the new room we was assigned. The old room key was deactivated with our luggage still locked inside and the bellman was not able to get in to get it... There was know apology, no explanation as to why we were still waiting to get in our room after 2.5 hours... The property can use a lot of upgrades, as I feel our accommodations on the Margaritaville cruise ship was far better than what was offered at the resort...

...No, the rooms are not perfect ( would need renovation), yes, the sand fleas are hurting BUT every flaw is forgotten when you spend time in the resort thanks to the very kind staff!... Access to front beach rooms should be available ( we were refused room 1204 that one lady at front desk offered us because her supervisor told us "it is a restricted room"...but we saw no-one is this room the whole week...) We also wished there was an ATM machine on site so we could give more tips...

We ate mostly at the buffet which was probably the flavor equivalent of bad college dining hall food...

...I am referring to the Viva Wyndham in Freeport Bahamas... If you want to get away for vacation go somewhere else... It would be better if you took all your money and threw it in the garbage you would have a better time the beach was fantastic words do not describe what it is like there it would take too long... Good luck if you take a chance... They truly don’t even want you there unless you were a VIP member and give them your bank account information...

I had a lovely time, the beach is absolutely breathtaking also you can take a 30 minutes walk to Banana bay which has an even more beautiful beach with sand dunes💕 Food was good, always had a full plate and the 4 course meal at the Café restaurant just Wow, Steak was absolutely delicious!...

...Do bring your own bar soap, shampoo and conditioner... Other then these little things overall it was a good trip and worth the price as this did cost less then most all inclusives we have been on...

Honestly i was dissapointed with the resort because it cost us around 1500$ for a week and it was not the quality i expected from that price... I once ordered caprese salad and it was literally a really a slice of swiss cheese on top of the tomato slices… My experience at Wyndham repulsed me because after my trip i went to Punta Cana occidental(another resort) i paid 930$ for 1 week also and it was amazing, nothing to say... So for 1500$ a week i think i couldve found something way better than that in Freeport or Nassau...

This hotel is outdated and not well cared for... However, you can not expect more for a 3 star hotel... Chicken and pork are ok. One important thing to mention is that you are not given any drinks for free in your room... If you want water is $1 USD per bottle and $1.5 for a can of pop... They literally force you to buy their bottled water... This is not a 5 star hotel, so do not expect 5 star amenities or food...

...The overall experience definitely exceeded our expectations. The reason I am writing this review, which is my first ever, is initially due to the amazing staff... Upon arrival everyone was so nice and welcoming getting us all setup... We decided to do a dinner on the beach which was recommend by Angelo who we made daily trips back to the front desk area to see and chat with about the resort and get any new recommendations and ideas... He was such a calming and happy spirit we are so glad we were able to meet him... We also worked with Devon at the front desk who had that same positive and happy energy... He helped us pay and get all set up with the private beach dinner and gave us recommendations as well... On day two there was some sort of a payment issue with our booking agent and we met Irela who took on the problem and solved it with a smile and no stress at all... They were all just so amazing including Darren (bellman), Kali and Nelcy... They all had such happy spirits and just ready to accommodate with recommendations and any other requests that were made...

...If you are not a member of the Viva club you will get the basic with a very bad service included... If I smile it means give me tips... Maybe a different island a different hotel with truly friendly staff... The only exception was the guy from the restaurant reservations, he was lovely and very friendly maybe the rest of the staff should learn from him...

The staff seems to be more interested in their phones then in the guests We booked the bamboo restaurant... I’ll have to say the dinning staff needs a lot of training... The level of pouring wine is ridiculous... My wife told the sever that she only wanted a little bit of wine and she filled her glass to the rim... I would most definitely come back for the sake of the entertainment staff, the front desk staff, concierge and the lady in the gift store she was really nice and pleasant... She even took the time out to get to know us little bit...

The bellman Kirklyn Stuart & Darryl was very helpful from the time our van arrived to the resort until the day we departed. They gave us great information on places to go on the island... They was very well mannered, helpful & friendly.... They really made our stay great they checked on us to make sure we was ok. Nadia & Pedro was great as well... Thank you Wyndham for the great hospitality...

...When originally researching taxi vs shuttle, it was difficult to find specific information. We decided to book the shuttle via the resorts help (Forbes shuttle)... It was $22 per person round trip... The shuttle bus was great and we were the only people on it both ways... Small airport, no searching of bags, and our luggage was waiting once we finished customs... The 3 specialty restaurants, 1 buffet and beach front snack bar were very good... Amaury, Blake, Mike, Amy, Michelle, Sara, Silver, Izzie, Paco, Riley, Chaira, Erick, Luis, Manuel, Nadia, Pedro, and the amazing woman who cooked us burgers, hotdogs, etc., everyday at the snack bar!!... We are so grateful for the week at Viva Fortuna Beach and the gracious staff who made it memorable...

...From everything to the resort amenities and amazing view to the ENTIRE staff, this resort was a 5-star experience for us. From the second we stepped off the boat and the second we stepped back on the boat to go home, the experience and people were amazingly polite, kind, helpful, knowledgeable, professional and super cute... Starting with Kirklyn (AKA Captain Kirk, The OG) to everyone at the sales desk (Phallon included even though we didn't stay for a tour) as well as the reception desk employees... In addition the bartenders and wait staff throughout the resort were so kind and professional and always smiling... It was a pleasure to see and speak with them every day we were there... The absolute best part of the entire trip was the Viva Resort Team, ranging from 18 years old and up that basically ran the entire resort from the children's activities to the wonderful and entertaining shows at night... Each and every person on this team deserves a raise and lots of recognition: Riley, Flor, Michelle, MaryCruz, Manuela, Blake, Silver, Izzie, Paco, Amaurys and the beautiful choreographer, Sarah...

...The weather and time of year seemed to have kept the number of guests down but the staff was very nice and helpful... A quick stroll to the front desk to let them know was all it took and they moved us no problem... My wife uses a mobility aid to get around and the staff was very accommodating... We noticed the first night the AC was very noisy and again I mentioned it to front desk and the maintenance fixed the problem... The bar staff was great and we got our moneys worth from the all inclusive package... My wife added a private beach front dinner the evening of my birthday and that was absolutely the best meal I can remember having... Again the staff was amazing and had setup the table and decorations to make the night special...

We booked what was supposed to be a 5 star resort but definitely was not... The pool area was very nice but the pool is not heated and some people found it cold...they do not offer wait service on the beach or at the pool so you were standing in line for sometimes 15 minutes to get a beverage... The resort was clean but 3 star at best so know this when you book...

The beach, the activities, the staff, the rooms, the restaurants and the evening theatre and entertainment are exceptional... They provide guidance and proffer a feeling of confidence while you climb the 20 or so foot ladder and get ready on the platform where you are going to grab the bar and swing on a trapeze and land in a huge safety net... I can't recommend this resort enough for people who want to snorkel, lounge, eat, drink, dance, be merry, be active and try something new!... Also a very clean resort and many very wonderful employees with lots of smiles...

It is the only resort on the beach as opposed to other resorts in Cuba and Dominican where it's one resort after another on the beach, Fortuna will spoil you for that... They have all kinds of activities during the day and they deliver what is advertised... As well you can get a kayak for one or two, paddle board or a staff member can take you out on a catamaran... Good food, drinks, amazing entertainment with after party and disco some nights... OR, be lazy by the pool or on the beach all good at this resort... All staff we met were great and helpful... If you wish them a good morning you will get one back... Not too many vendors on the beach and they aren't too pushy, which I appreciated... Pack your swimsuit in your carry on and change in the bathroom and head for the beach with a tasty drink...

...If you go be sure to take part in Amy's aqua fit class as well as her dance class with other staff member Melinda... The beach, free non motor activities, archery, picked ball left us with not a moment for my daughter to say I am bored... The food and drinks are great, but don't take it outside as the bees will love it, They do try to keep them away, but bees will be bees... You can book your excursions right on sight... There is also diving and a cave experience as well... The football and pool table equipment is stored at the front desk, but there is no time limit on how long a person can keep these items...

...There were water toys available although in January the water temperature is very chilly. Lots of chaise lounges under coconut palms to relax under and enjoy the sand ( which is powder) and sea...

...We loved our ocean front room, we were the closest to the ocean you could be! The buffet food is always good and fresh, the a la carte restaurants need to be booked your first morning at the resort for the week if you want to try them... The pool is on the cooler side, lots of seats around it so you won’t need to be up at 5am to get a seat!... The beach and pool area have lots of loungers all day available... You will always find somewhere to lounge and tan!... There is coffee at the main bar to get an espresso or a latte if you want to change up from booze!... There is a basketball court, beach volleyball, paddle boards, kayaks, and snorkelling equipment PLUS activities around the pool all day if you want to participate... The beach is incredible and you can walk for hours on it!... If you are looking to be served all day at this resort this isn’t the resort for you... You have to get up off your bottom to get your own food and drinks….if you’re lazy or want to be lazy book elsewhere!... To sum up the best parts for us…we loved the beach, the animation staff (Amy, Blake, and the others - sorry forget all your names), the main bar staff (we were the ones who wanted “something fruity” ha ha), all the staff speak English, drinkable water, the buffet staff are polite and keep everything clean - these are the reasons our trip was outstanding!...

...The women at reception told me that if you are not a member you can not access to many of the other amenities like a hot tub in your bedroom etc... Maybe a different island a different hotel with truly friendly staff...

We went to the Wyndham as part of a day trip excursion from our cruise. We were hoping to enjoy the beach and use some of the water equipment... The sand on the beach was beautiful white sand... We enjoyed some cocktails and the bartenders were very pleasant even when the line was long... The best option is to stick to the salad bar and water or another cocktail... We then thought we would try the pool and hot tub but the pool was not heated and was very cold... The hot tub wasn't hot and had no bubbles and was the temperature of bath water...

...The food and buffet is very good, much much better than expected with a ton of options for all 3 meals, that change throughout the week. The beach is pristine, white sandy beach for miles in both directions as only Freeport can offer... Palm trees provide natural shade above your beach chair which is awesome... The water is great and few beaches I have seen are this nice and long great for walking, jogging and swimming... There is also a ton of included activities, as well as a show, and many great tours such as swimming with dolphins or the pigs!... The pool is perfectly situated next to the beach with many Great lounging spots... The property is constantly maintained…while it is a little older, the overall experience was wonderful and the beach, food, relaxation, and number of activities available make this a great choice for families and couples at a good price!...

I'm glad that we went with Viva Wyndham!... The grounds were clean, and the beach was beautiful... It always makes a big difference when you have staff like her who care about guest experiences!...

...I was very impressed; we traveled the week before of Christmas and stayed the whole week... We spent our days laying by the ocean under a palm tree, and our baby napped in the stroller at his usual time under a palm tree shade... He loved splashing in the baby pool, playing with the sand, and dancing every night to the "kids disco" or just the music in the lobby... Me and my husband loved the crystalline waters, the jacuzzi, and the fact that almost all day the staff had games throughout the day... So while he was out in the sea I stayed sipping on margaritas while my baby played in the sand...

...The property can use a lot of upgrades, as I feel our accommodations on the Margaritaville cruise ship was far better than what was offered at the resort...

We enjoyed our 6 nights/5 days in this very nice resort... The sea and the beach are beautiful, the water delicious, you can swim and walk for miles!... You feel very fast very comfortable, because everyone is making you feel great... A special thank you to the supervisor at the buffet who allowed me to take my coffee outside in the morning... Access to front beach rooms should be available ( we were refused room 1204 that one lady at front desk offered us because her supervisor told us "it is a restricted room"...but we saw no-one is this room the whole week...) We also wished there was an ATM machine on site so we could give more tips... Overall a great experience and we will absolutely come back with our family!...

The bellman Kirklyn Stuart & Darryl was very helpful from the time our van arrived to the resort until the day we departed. They gave us great information on places to go on the island... They was very well mannered, helpful & friendly.... They really made our stay great they checked on us to make sure we was ok. Nadia & Pedro was great as well... Thank you Wyndham for the great hospitality...

...We paid to upgrade to top floor ocean view... We had to go to desk every day asking for towel sets and they were shocked we never had them... We were to receive one water bottle in the room since the water in room isn’t drinkable... They would run out of food and drink while they were there so we didn't get what we wanted and paid for...

...We decided to book the shuttle via the resorts help (Forbes shuttle)... The shuttle bus was great and we were the only people on it both ways... Small airport, no searching of bags, and our luggage was waiting once we finished customs... We had a quick check in and had to wait a few hours for our room but we were able to eat and explore the grounds... This is a small resort but beautiful, and always something to do if you choose... No seaweed, soft sand, and when walking either direction down the beach there are barely any people... Our room had an amazing ocean view... The 3 specialty restaurants, 1 buffet and beach front snack bar were very good... We did not struggle to find good food... Kayaking, catamaran, snorkeling, beach volleyball, etc...

...Several times when we asked staff about things that needed repair, like dancefloor lights and ceiling fans, their reply was "It's broken" and indicated that repair was sometime in the future... Dive shop was OK, last minute schedule choices...

...Housekeeping and maintenance took five calls and 8 hours to unclog facilities and bring additional towels. When towels delivered they were out of hand towels and wash cloths...

...From everything to the resort amenities and amazing view to the ENTIRE staff, this resort was a 5-star experience for us. From the second we stepped off the boat and the second we stepped back on the boat to go home, the experience and people were amazingly polite, kind, helpful, knowledgeable, professional and super cute... In addition the bartenders and wait staff throughout the resort were so kind and professional and always smiling...

...My wife uses a mobility aid to get around and the staff was very accommodating... The beach was nice and we enjoyed meeting and talking with the locals and always felt safe and welcome... But the pool was nice and we enjoyed lounging outside on the pool bungalow and drinking Mai Tais and rum and cokes... The bar staff was great and we got our moneys worth from the all inclusive package... We always found something we liked for lunch and dinner there... My wife added a private beach front dinner the evening of my birthday and that was absolutely the best meal I can remember having... Again the staff was amazing and had setup the table and decorations to make the night special... We also enjoyed the music and entertainment at night as well as the karaoke...
