I visited three months after Hurricane Matthew and it was great to see progress on the clear up. As far as The Pelican was concerned you wouldn't know there had been a hurricane. My room had a great view over water with mini kitchen facilities if required. Extremely quiet it was the best sleep on the islands I have visited... More

Stayed here with a group of people during a dive vacation in June. The staff were very helpful and extremely friendly throughout the stay. The grounds were nicely maintained and had a number of pools to enjoy. The on site restaurants had a variety of options and everything came out great. The free breakfast was also a nice feature and... More

so this was my first time using a Groupon getaway deal so I was a little worried that there would be issues. Had also read some reviews that made me a little nervous as well. But everything was beyond my expectations. Room had spectacular views, was huge, had a cottage feel to it. Loved how it was decorated. Coffee and... More

We were pleasantly surprised by our wonderful suite at the Pelican Bay. The suites are like mini vacation apartment rentals. They come equipped with bar, microwave, fridge, coffee and espresso makers with a selection of complementary gourmet pods. The decor is Caribbean vintage with Bahamian art and woodwork. Quite comfortable and homey. The view from the private balcony was beautiful,... More

The first week we had no power and everything was as good as could be expected. We got power back 6 days ago. I will most likely be here for at least another month on business. The staff is great, Vandyke is a personality you like to have behind the bar. The resort itself is tired. The beds are not... More

We stayed here as part of a travel package through Vacation Express, so my expectations were low. We were on the ground floor with the pool and Bones Bar right out our back slider. Room was spacious and bed much more comfortable than I have seen on other reviews. I will agree the decor was a little outdated and mismatched... More

First off this was an excellent deal through Groupon. For the price of the trip I was surprised at the condition of the hotel. The room was a suite and had lots of space. I stayed with my Mom and sister and there was enough room that we didn't feel like we we were on top of each other. We... More

I visited Pelican Bay on the last week of September through Groupon and Vacation Express. This place was almost empty and very quiet. Totally worth those little money I paid for such pleasant trip. Hotel is OK. You get a suit, it has living room, bedroom, kitchen with refrigerator, macro ware, coffee and espresso machines ,plates, caps wine and whiskey... More

Overall: Had an enjoyable stay at Pelican Bay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The property is well maintained. The location of this resort can't be beat. It's right next door to Port Lucaya Marketplace where there are many restaurants, bars and shops. I would recommend this resort to friends who are value conscious and not overly picky about... More
