The Cove at Atlantis is elegantly situated between Cove and Paradise Beaches on Paradise Island in the Bahamas creating the feeling of being cast away on a private, white-sand sanctuary. The ultra-luxury 5-star hotel was designed by architect Jeffrey Beers to bring high design together with the bluest ocean and mother of pearl hued sand. The result is an open air lobby that rises and sets with the day, an exclusive poolscape that gently skims the private beaches, stunning and sensual rooms and suites, a collection of unparalleled dining and shopping and purposeful service delivered with Bahamian warmth.

The property is beautiful, the restaurants are solid, the rooms are spacious. We especially love the adults-only vibe of The Cove, but we've found the kids' curfew at the restaurants, resort-wide, are not enforced. We've visited four times this year, and just about every time we've had a nuisance-y problem in our room (broken lamp, clogged sink, perpetually running toilet fan, no hot water, broken safe, etc.) But we overlook all of that because the staff is positively fantastic! Feels like visiting old friends when we're there, and they are definitely the number one reason we keep going back. Darryl is an absolute gem, and we seek him out with every pass through the lobby area. He truly lights that place up with his warmth, friendliness, charm, and over all good vibes. My husband and I often wonder where his talent will take him next, but can't imagine a more perfect person for his job. I hope the Atlantis rewards him well for all he does. We also adore Lashunda at the Cove pool casino. She remembers us from visit to visit, and even knows our drink preferences! She is such a kind soul. Thereze at the Cove Pool is attentive and hard-working. She takes such good care of us! We missed her this trip, and the pool just wasn't the same without her. We hope to see her next time. Charlvas at Fish is such a customer-service oriented server. He sincerely wants his guests to enjoy their meal, and encourages feedback. We so appreciated his patience with our curiosity and enthusiasm about our dinner. Marisa at the Royal Casino is the perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism. Her positivity and bubbly disposition can make even the biggest losses feel like so much FUN! There's nothing better than a dealer with an engaging personality, especially one who knows her games inside and out. She was so kind and patient as she taught me the nuances of the game of craps. And Marciano at Cafe Martinique is an absolutely distinguished master of his profession. I really can't say enough about how special he makes our time with him feel. Dinner with him is so much more than a meal. Marciano hosts a seriously wonderful culinary experience, like only a seasoned professional can. During this visit, we ventured out to explore Baha Mar. It was nice enough, but we found there is just no comparison to the service we receive at the Atlantis. We've been home from our most recent trip for only a few days, and we're already missing our Atlantean friends. Can't wait to go back for another visit!

The property is absolutely beautiful. We were lucky enough to secure a beautiful cabana between the beach and the pool that had amazing amenities and excellent service. I would highly recommend it if you get the chance.

We've been to Atlantis several times. The water features and family programs are very attractive. However, the last time we went we came away very disappointed. While the features were nice, the place is in serious need of updating and cleaning. Last year we went to Baha Mar and could not have been happier. It was outstanding. At the request of our family we decided to give Atlantis another try. This time staying at the Cove and not the Royal Towers. Well, the conclusion is just the same if not more so. Far too expensive for what you get. The Cove is, like the Royal Towers, in desperate need of updating and cleaning. The decor is outdated and well worn. We decided to rent a cabana for the time we were staying so that we had a home base for the pools. What a mistake. They are costly and nothing more than a tent on a platform. The staff serving the cabana tried hard to be helpful and accommodating. It helped but just not worth it. The cabana was even more run down than the buildings. The cabinet was broken, the refrigerator didn't keep things cool, and the tent itself was broken. The cabana we had at Baha Mar eclipsed the cabana at Atlantis by factor of 10. Food at the restaurants was very good and so was service. However, overall we have to rate it a 2 given prices. Breakfast for five ran almost $200 for a simple buffet. Dinners cost 2 - 3 times that. On balance, not worth it at all. Bottom line, we won't be back. We've already decided our next visit to the Bahamas will be with another stay at Baha Mar.

I booked this room through Marriot Bonvoy. I’ve been here twice before and stayed at the Reef where I had a full kitchen and brought meals from home and stocked the fridge as well. Upon booking the Marriot agent (which is supposedly a direct line for Atlantis) told me because of my platinum status I would have club access and or breakfast. I then chose to stay at the Cove for those perks. I therefore came without snacks and breakfast items and didn’t stop at the supermarket for my kids. Upon check in I was told I had no perks and that the hotel is not “fully Marriot”. They then Told me I was upgraded to a deluxe room which was not the truth since my reservation was for a deluxe room. I showed them this on my phone. Meanwhile deluxe means high floor and they gave me a room on floor 5. They told me to call Marriot myself and work it out. Marriot tried to help me out but the Cove managers and staff had zero interest to try and work with me and didn’t have any experience with customer care. The manager on on call attempted to help me but when she saw Marriot was difficult to contact and work with she just gave up. They also were not knowledgeable of the catering services and even the number of tennis courts. The concierge told me there were 2 courts when I called from NY. meanwhile the website said six and they indeed have six. Basically all the perks which I confirmed multiple times with Marriot were not fulfilled and no attempt was made to try and help me somewhat. Besides the let down the hotel is supposed to be the nicest of all the hotels on Atlantis property. Meanwhile there is no hot tub. Which adult only pool doesn’t have a hot tub??? The Cove pool barely gets any sun the building itself blocks it. The rooms are run down. Housekeeping is not on par I had to call daily for different items omitted in my service. My kids had fun but the WiFi is spotty so it is hard to stay in touch which is challenging. Everything is so expensive. A daiquiri is $35. I have never heard of such a high price for a daiquiri. They literally get you on everything. The one major great perk is the hotel is now serving kosher foods and fulfilling dietary needs. Kudos to Alexis Bonoby and Bill for arranging and running a wonderful kosher program. And for Rabbi Weinfeld and Rabbi Bluming’s for making it all so easy. Will consider coming back only for the dietary needs but the hotel needs an entire remodel, the shuttles need to be more often and new, and most importantly the staff needs to be trained in customer service. If coming to the bahamas try Baha Mar. A shout out to Troy at the tennis center who was honest and advised me properly and to Van the pro, for his good attitude, fun and skills

im not sure why ppl continue to complain on these reviews about this place... ie- the staff are rude, rooms are old, bed sucks, room service sucks, problem with getting water and towels.... idk if everyone is just stuck up rich buttholes that are used to getting gods treatment or what but this is my 4th time back and i have ZERO COMPLAINTS. everything was perfect from check in to check out. room was cleaned quickly, bottles of water (up to 4) were on time every day... slept like a baby.. room was clean..staff were awesome and full of energy and super helpful when you have questions. only dislike was the dumb 15% mandatory tip and 12% vat per purchase but 85% of the islands good are imported so just suck it up. will def be back.
