The people were amazing from Customs to the Resort and back. Shuttle bus driver gave us a history lesson on the way to the resort. Staff was amazing from check in to check out. Food was spectacular and VERY plenty full. The most friendly, helpful, kind and courteous, amazing people I have ever met.
From Arrival at The Royal entrance to departure day this resort is a Visual Feast for the Eyes. The warm Bahamian Culture adds another dimension to the enjoyment as you take in the Luxurious surroundings. Walking among the vast marine habitats that house a myriad of sea creatures large and small makes you appreciate what this resort property does to rescue, rehabilitate and teach all of us about the sea life with which we share the Earth.
The Atlantis is my home away from home!!!I have come here every year for the past 10 years. Everyone makes you feel special from checking in to the friendly women working at Platos who hand me my Mimosa in the morning without me having to ask! Thats great service!!!!
My extended family had a great time at the Atlantis resort as we experienced most of the iconic activities offered! The Dig was a favorite as were all the water slides. I enjoyed the relaxing pools with the smaller ones and we were pleased that it was quieter during our off season visit, yet plenty of people there to make it exciting. Food and drinks were pricey compared to other places, but it is an island so that makes sense. Wish there were more healthier and quick food options available throughout the resort and waterpark, but we did have some nice family dining experiences at the restaurants in the resort (make reservations in advance - especially during peak season!).
This was our first time traveling to the Bahamas and to Atlantis, and the trip was even better than expected. The Atlantis property is beautiful --- the building, landscaping, extensive aquariums were all top notch. We stayed in the East wing of the Atlantis Royal Tower --- I am told that these are the newly renovated rooms. The rooms were pretty much standard hotel rooms with slightly upscale decor, and were well maintained and very clean. Since it is off season there was some regular property maintenance in progress but it really did not impact us. The crowds were minimal - no wait times for the water attractions, plenty of empty chairs, etc. The food is a little on the pricey side but I guess that is to be expected in a resort on an island. Due to some maintenance (temporary restaurant closures), there were limited breakfast options, but lots of lunch and dinner restaurants. The Dolphin Dip & Discover was a wonderful experience. We had the opportunity to interact with the dolphins in the the Dolphin Cay facility. The only negative was the wifi, extremely unstable and slow. Other than it was a great trip and we will return. …
My daughter and I went here for some time together and to enjoy the resort and it’s beaches. We were greeted at the airport and quickly transported to the hotel which is stunning inside and out. Bell hops were very friendly, however the front desk staff is very cold and unwelcoming, even at check out. Seems to be a common complaint reading reviews. On to our room it was very clean and nice, beds were actually quite comfortable and we utilized the mini fridge. We signed up for the Swim in Wonder with the dolphins and the Ruins snorkel, we highly recommend both!! Water park is so much fun and great for all ages, we rode everything repeatedly, no lines. Every night we’d go into the little village for dinner and always found something good, go there, don’t waste your money inside at Olives, over priced mediocre food. Yes, everything is expensive, but it’s an island so I expected that. We enjoyed our time there and plan to return with the rest of the family!! Oh one other thing, at check in they will tell you the hold on your card of $150 a night can be used while you’re there and the remaining balance will be refunded at check out. Lies. They still charge you at the end for anything you put on your room key then give your room hold amount back around two weeks later. But don’t let that deter you from a visit. So many great memories made and a million photo ops. Take a good camera and a GoPro and some nice outfits (everyone dressed up at night)All in all it was a great experience and the good very much outweighed the bad and we can’t wait to go back. I hope this was helpful to someone…
The Coral is run down. The room had ants and rust all over the light fixtures. Only the nice staff at the Royal made me stay. We asked to leave and find another hotel but they wanted to make it right. Well they moved us to the Royal but did not update the reservation system so another guest was assigned our room and walked in on my wife changing. Highly upset.
When we first arrived in our room, some of the light switches were not working, not a big deal. Then the fridge had things left and it was dirty, then the bathroom towels looked used, and we had no bathrobes in the closet. Again not a big deal, but we also paid for a top floor with an open balcony because it was my 50th BIG BIRTHDAY and we were put on the wrong floor. We were placed on the 5th floor where you can't even open the sliding doors and the first thing we smelled in the hallways is a distinct mold smell. Among the other things that were broken in our room, in my opinion the maintenance has not been kept up with and many things are being overlooked. The first night of sleeping there our sinuses were clogged and I got a bad migraine. The next night it was so much worse and we got very ill due to the mold that was present on your Royal hotel floor. level 5 hallways. We stayed in room 5544 on floor 5 right across from the ice machine. The ice machine was also broken and didn't work. It was on the 2nd night of our stay when I noticed the black mold by the ice machine. I know now that is what triggered my migraine and my sinuses. It got all 3 of us sick! In 15 years this has been the one and only time we had such a HORRIBLE experience. Then on the last night we were given another room. All I wanted to do was take a shower and when I turned on the shower the showerhead exploded and water blew all over the ceiling (Room 11-524). That was the final night of our stay and I didn't have the energy to even report it because at this point we were leaving first thing the next morning. Overall with this many things wrong I will not be staying at the Royal again. I pray you take care of the problems that exist and not get other hotel guests sick. …
We had a large balcony with beautiful views of the resort and the ocean. Atlantis has world-class beaches near the cove. I recommend visiting Atlantis if you like great water experiences/rides and swimming and crystal clear water.
Amazing resort, great customer service, facilities and meal options, friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and food options were varied and delicious, although slightly on the higher side in pricing. It's paradise and we felt so very relaxed. Enjoyed our stay thoroughly.
