Had a wonderful time, great food excellent service! Had the lobster, chicken parm, fettuccine, and pizza. All were wonderful! Definitely don’t skip dessertThank you Shareta and Philip for your hospitality! We will be back!
Had an amazing trip. This hotel was clean, super friendly, amazing service from in-room dining to poolside service. The concierge helped me the 10 days leading up to our trip via email. The free COViD testing available 24 hours before our return to the states was efficient and so easy - right downstairs in hotel. We felt safe and well taken care of ! Plus super cool ;-) spaces. My 11 year old made friends and went between the water park- pools- basketball with ease.
We just returned from a 6 night visit. This was an extended family trip, with a total of 12 of Us. We had a wonderful week. Some highlights: 1) resort is just beautiful. The beach, the pools, the SLS lobby, the sky bar, the restaurants, all gorgeous. 2) the staff is great, and they are everywhere. The entire place is so clean, and the service is top notch (surprisingly fast for “Bahamas time.”). The bungalow pool staff was fantastic. Also, it’s great how many clean bathrooms are all over the resort, both inside and outside. 3) we had many incredible meals. Some highlights: Katsuya- best meal of the week! Fantastic. Cleo- a close second. So many good small plate options. Also, great breakfast. Costa- beautiful place with many great options Marcus- amazing setting. Best fish sandwich I ever had! El Jefe Food Truck- amazing tacos for lunch Cafe Madeline- wonderful coffee and pastries. Great setting. Bungalow Pool: great service in our cabana, With good food and drink. 4) night life was fun. After dinner our group split up and enjoyed the casino, the sky bar (or other bars), the SLS lobby (monkey bar), and the bond night club one night. The cigar bar was really fun. We spent a lot of time there sitting in the beautiful outside tables. 5) snorkeling off the beach was wonderful. We saw a huge turtle and tons of cool fish. I recommend you bring your own snorkel gear as the resort had limited supplies. 6) water park is awesome. So clean and beautiful, and never overly crowded. Rides for all levels, and it felt very well run and safe. Some advice to SLS to make it even better: 1) the design of the room bathrooms are just odd. Many don’t have doors (just a Curtain), and they have shutters that can open to the room. I recommend you make the bathrooms in the rooms more private (ie with doors that lock). 2) teens under 18 need something to do at Night. I suggest a teen club with pool tables, ping pong, snacks, music, etc. make it for 13-17 year olds. Keep it open late so parents and older teens can gamble and party all night knowing their teens are having fun! Also, keep the mini golf open later (until 12). All in all a remarkable trip we won’t ever forget. Not a budget vacation by any stretch, but you get what you pay for and in the end I believe the value is good based on the beauty of baha mar as a whole, and the high level of service and delicious food and drink, and endless things to do (or, the option to do nothing at all and just relax).…
I stayed here for 3 nights after a business trip in Miami as I’ve always wanted to come to Bahama and the plan was last minute as it was 4th of July weekend, so prices were exorbitant and availability was tight but I still chose SLS as it was number 1 on Tripadvisor and looked great. So let’s start with the positive, the check in was swift and I even got an upgrade to a sea view room (one of us did as we had 2 rooms) which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is modern , the lobby , bars and restaurants and rooms were all very tasteful and modern. Now if you like parties this is the hotel for you with the Privilege pool parties and lobby was like a club which was a bit odd and not to my liking but I’m sure that works for others. The food was awesome and at the good restaurants service was great, the poke bowls were very tasty so highly recommend that too. Also the beach and pools were all stunning as were the facilities. Now the Baha Mar resort is all linked, the restaurants, bars, pools and all connected via a massive Casino, which is all very handy and good if you like that kind of thing, very Vegas like. The restaurants are pretty awesome, but quite hard to get tables and the concierge was so slow, she took a really long time to try and help but she did her best, they needed more staff! I found the service hit or miss, some staff were super genuine and lovely , others hate their jobs and shouldn’t be facing customers. The lady working at Starbucks on-site was so rude, I’ve never seen anything like it. Things I didn’t like, breakfast was not ready by 7 the first day and sometimes they served us coffee other times we were told to get it ourselves, very inconsistent similar to all the service we received. Service charge on inclusive breakfast room rates seems very odd , to be honest the whole service charge and resort fees seems like a real con at the end when u pay the bills. One day I came back to my room and it was 6pm and my room still hadn’t been cleaned. They came quickly after I called but that’s unacceptable. The balconies were odd too, no privacy at all as u can literally see everyone on their balconies? everyone goes out to smoke which I didn’t care for. Checkout is 11am, I was shocked how unforgiving they were on late checkout and after really asking several times they gave me 30’mins extra which wasn’t ideal but I had no choice. No service at the beach for drinks/food, no water , just not what I’m used to hotels of this price point and brand, for comparable properties abroad. I just felt the size of this resort means service is inevitably compromised which is not what you expect at this level and price point. Would I come back here, Bahamas yes, SLS no.…
Overall the experience was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby was beautiful. Monkey Bar was great too. The Sky Bar on the 20th floor offers great views. As for the rooms, they looked bigger online than in person. The showers were poorly designed. Water ends up in a puddle on the floors and there's only a tiny shelf in the show. for toiletries. No towel rack. The sinks and other chrome fixtures looked worn. For the price we paid, I was surprised to see rust and peeled paint. The beach chairs on the SLS side were worn and needed to be replaced while the Hyatt's chairs appeared new. The only food option on the SLS side of the beach was for the Marcus restaurant. There wasn't a server walking around to ask if you wanted anything or to take orders. However, on the Hyatt's beach there were servers walking around and there were more food options by the pool.…
I always visit baha bay beach club and this is the first time I've been disappointed. Torey my server did not meet my expectations he was not very attentive was missing for such a long period of time and had extra items on my bill i did not even receive therefore his services was terrible for the money I've spent i expected better service and that was such a disappointment i wont be revisiting the beach club.
Yslanna was so good to my son and I, it isn’t often our two family dynamic is taken seriously and she did. Wyatt and I appreciate you. My son said it was the best fish he has had in his life and concur. The filet was amazing!
The staff was unfriendly. Never gave us any notice about the travel visa needed for covid and we’re unapologetic about it when we had to pay for a night we missed because of this. Offered no refund for the night, didn’t even give us a credit or send something to the room for the inconvenience. Tons of loud music by the pool that kept replaying the same songs.. bathrooms were untidy . Shower in our room leaked allover the floor. Housekeeping came late in the day and needed to call several times before getting anything we needed. Food was great, nice beach but would stay at rosewood next time or Atlantis.
Wow! Absolutely nothing short of perfection! On arrival, the concierge Tamika (aka Mama bear) went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed to make our stay special! From the moment we sat in front of her desk we became family. Traveling in my opinion is all about experiencing culture and meeting beautiful people along the way. Tamika informed my husband and I of all the places outside the resort we could experience the island culture. She was well equipped with information of the island, culture, food and most of all the SLS property. As this was a last minute trip, we had no reservations booked for any of the restaurants on property. Tamika was able to pull off the impossible getting us reservations at a wonderful restaurant on the resort while the resort was at full capacity! This is the kind of service that makes traveling worth it! She made every minute of our experience feel like we were truly in our home away from home. Not only was she a beautiful soul sent directly from heaven, but she truly cares about each and every person that sits in front of her. She is as authentic a person as they come and it is because of her that we’ve booked our next stay at SLS before even checking out! We can’t wait to come back to paradise and see our mama bear!…
Unbelievable visit, Tamika Wallace (mama Bear) made our trip perfect. Celebrity treatment from check-in to out departure. Every restaurant recommended was perfect from the hotel favorites to the local fare. We will definitely be visiting here again with our kids before year end.
