Overall very satisfied - food prices extremely high. Great location - great staff except the resturant - not busy so wait staff not very attentive. Again, would be busier if the food was priced correctly.

Great location down town, friendly staff with a Bahamian charm, good facilities and great breakfast. I would pick this any day over staying on Paradise Island or further out from the city-centre. Make sure you enroll in their rewards program.

The only great thing about this hotel is the view of the cruise ships arriving and that the Harley Davidson appear outlet is just around the corner. The rats that were running around the outside of the hotel was not what I expected and there are very few rooms that you can actually see the ocean. I hade problems with... More

Gorgeous Hilton, staff is very kind and helpful. Maybe this hotel would be ideal for families with kids, since beach area is small and quiet. Cruise ships docked nearby takes away the remote-feeling of the Bahamas. But you can always take a cab to the public beach near the Atlantis resort, much bigger area (called cabbage beach). Smallish-medium pool, nice... More

British Colonial Hilton offers a romantic getaway. We had a good time in the private beach. Overall our stay in Nassau made our entire trip more remarkable. This is located in the best part of the island. Down town Nassau. Perfect for public transport, taxi, and also to the ferries.

Revisiting Nassau, taking my daughter to see her birthplace 49 years ago, I chose this hotel for its central location, private beach, all rooms have ocean views and the recent renovation has retained the character of the 1905 construction. We stayed an extra 3 days instead of going to one of the out islands . Top restaurants within walking distance... More

Lots to complain about, no executive nibbles or drinks for two nights as 'improvements' being done to the lounge. Then in the lounge, bad service, too hot then 2 nights of no a/c....no sleep.....swimming pool dirty needed cleaning. Drinks too expensive, bought one....never again. 10 dollars for a middle wine ! Don't bother. Crane was nice as you lay by... More

We had booked through an agency and arrived very late due to significant flight delays. The welcome at the reception was pleasant and fun though time consuming. The hotel apologized that the booked harbour view family room was not available and they had to give us two harbour view rooms instead. Definitely no complaints there! The rooms were not too... We purchased day passes for the British Colonial rather than do an excursion through the cruise. So glad we did! The beach was not crowded, the water was clear, there were some areas that had seaweed, but there was plenty of space with out. The staff at the beach bar were very attentive and service was on point. We did... More

We booked through Expedia and from the moment we attempted to check in it was clear we were not considered guests. They made us wait 2 hours while giving rooms to many many other guests who arrived after us. Then we got a closet that smelled horrible and looked at garbage and parking. When we complained about the smell, it... More

Situated on downtown Nassau’s only private beach and the site of Old Fort Nassau, the British Colonial Hilton in the Bahamas has undergone a multi-million renovation throughout all areas of the hotel, and offers a taste of the island’s rich history, along with some of the most modern amenities for both business and vacation travelers. What’s more the hotel is only 25 minutes from Nassau (Lynden Pindling International) Airport. The hotel is a true Bahamian experience with a marble-tiled lobby and is studded with palm trees under a skylight ceiling. There are 288 luxuriously appointed guest rooms with harbor or island views. All rooms are furnished with tasteful decor, complemented by separate shower and bathtub. One-bedroom suites offer a separate living area with sofa bed, and Executive accommodations are also available along with the Executive Lounge, where attentive hotel staff assures that every need and whim will be met during your stay. Recreational activities are convenient and varied for leisure and business travelers alike. A 300-ft long private white sand beach is furnished with lounge chairs and thatched sunshades overlooking the harbor offering a peaceful and secluded access for an ocean swim or a day in the sun. Use of kayaks and snorkeling gear on the beach is complimentary. Bordered on one side by a tropical garden, the hotel's freshwater pool offers harbor views and has an expansive sundeck with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Both the sundeck and beach offer views of cruise ships moored nearby, and of the western tip of Paradise Island, 300 yards offshore. Guests can snooze in hammocks on the lawn adjacent to the pool. The property can also organize trips out reef snorkeling island exploring, boating, golf, tennis and scuba diving. For dining options, Aqua is a fun, casual restaurant serving international favorites with a Caribbean flair, or guests can meet up for cocktails at the Bullion Bar.
