My husband and I had a great stay at the hotel. The view from our room was absolutely stunning. However, if you have trouble with stairs, contact them. Our room was up a lot of stairs, but it got me to work harder to get my legs strong again! So I did not mind. It’s close enough from the main part of town that you can get to town in 3 minutes by car. There’s also a walking trail. I did not walk it, but it’s approximately 12-15 minutes around the nature pond. I typically prefer to be off the beaten path but with how packed the island is at the moment and only having our rental car for one day, it was frustrating to get a taxi, wait and then trying to find an opening at a restaurant. So again-be prepared. The ocean is right at the back of the property but it’s quite rocky so even with my water shoes and lack of full mobility in my left leg, I never chanced trying to get into the ocean. I did enjoy the pool which is right next to the ocean. So, it was not a property with sweeping sand to plop a beach chair down and stay there the entire day. No food is available on site except snacks. Again just be prepared for that. Thank you, Julie for your assistance. PS look for the peacock that wanders around! 😀 The property managers are a very kind couple. I primarily worked with Julie to arrange our stay. The island was just too busy for our personal liking but Julie gave me a phone number for the only rental car company that had anything available, after we tried about 10-12 companies. Reservations at restaurants were basically impossible to get, which is no reflection on the property but the island in general. It’s fantastic for businesses but not so great for visitors who may have to try walking up and down the streets to get a meal. Be prepared! One place was booked solid for weeks out! You can cook yourself in your condo or use their grill area but I personally don’t want to cook on vacation. That’s just me.

This boutique hotel is perfect for those traveling who want to avoid the tourist path but also need the amenities that path comes with. Traveling with two smaller kids (6,2) we wanted the more authentic feel we look for in traveling but needed space, a pool, and nearby grocery and restaurants. This place provided everything we were looking for in spades. We rented a two bedroom suite which has everything a small family needs. Good kitchen, common area and comfortable beds. The room was very clean and comfortable and gave us just spectacular views of the Caribbean. Hearing the ocean all night was exactly what the doctor ordered after being locked away during the pandemic. The staff was so gracious and helpful. They had chairs and towels to use on our day trips to the beaches and provided snorkel gear to use. The bay the hotel sits on is a rocky beach but great for Snorkeling. Saw a lot of beautiful fish just steps from our room. It is also only a 10-15 minute walk into town if you’re looking for some good restaurants and nightlife. While our night would end early due to the kids the walk back always provided a wonderful sunset. We will certainly be returning. This place was wonderful. Two items of note: the road in is tight and full of potholes but not far from the car ferry. Also we had a top floor room. Our kids are noisy so we apologize to anyone staying when we did, we probably woke them up early. If you’re a late sleeper you may want to ask for a room in the corner.

We had a fabulous week in the Poinsettia Waterfront Studio. Julie and David were great and helped with anything we needed. The free beach chairs, towels, and cooler were a nice addition to the island beach trips each day. Only a 15-minute walk to Cruz Bay or a 5-minute drive. The Studio was clean and had a stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishes, safe, etc. Onsite laundry facilities that can be used each evening. Definitely recommend staying here.

The condo was clean, and had everything you could want- a cooler, a blender, a coffee maker, tons of hooks etc to dry your towels etc. We stayed in Ginger Thomas, which was great. Big deck with the ocean just in front of you. The beach is nice, and ok for snorkeling too, but it does have loose rocks, so a bit tricky getting in. There is also a small pool, though it seemed very chloriney. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to town in the day time, maybe up to 20 at night, when the short cut is locked up. We took the regular taxibuses to the famous beaches such as Maho Bay. But if you want to go to the East end, or if you don't want to walk to town, you may want to rent a car, and you need to book that in advance. The managers were helpful, but are usually not at the condos. You will see and hear peacocks from time to time, and there are some local birds around the lake. The location is very peaceful and unspoilt most of the time- there was a very loud party at the property two doors down one night mid week- so this place has a good balance of being in nature on the waterfront and being close to town and transport. The ferry to St Thomas is nearby and there are many restaurants, though they are ridiculously busy and overbooked. We brought food over from St Thomas with us, because it is much cheaper there. At the ferry wharf in St Thomas, there is a grocery store just across the road. The ferry runs hourly, so transport is pretty easy. Buy tickets online before you go.

Villas are spacious and clean - there was a stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishes, etc., in our unit. They have laundry facilities, a pool & it's right on the water. Easy to get a taxi or walk into town. They have parking available if you have the need. No excessive noise when we stayed there.
