I have stayed at Samuel Cottages twice, once for a girls trip and once with my husband. Patrice is amazing to work with. The cottages have everything you need for the perfect island getaway. It's not a luxury resort, but that's not the intention. If you want to cook for yourself, have a little more space to move around, and... More

The Samuel Cottages were booked, but the owner also had a 2 bedroom apartment available. It was closer to town and no big hill to climb. There was a small porch with table, chairs, & a clothes lines. There is a flat screen TV (didn't use), and A/C in one bedroom & living room (didn't use). Ceiling fans in rooms,... More

This place is adorable. We stayed 6 days and loved it. It is with in walking distance of downtown and the ferry. It is up a hill so going down is easy but the hike up can be hot but is achievable. The owner is SO sweet and gave us fresh towels in the middle of the week, checked on... More

We stayed in cottage number 3, the furthest cottage from the road and closest to the owner's house just down the hill a little. The cottage was all we needed, affordable, in a good location (a 2 min drive to the center of town) and the room was spacious. The bed could have been a little more comfortable and the... More

We realize that letting the morning light in is probably a cultural difference and so we have chosen to give our guests a choice in 2016 by adding a second curtain to the windows in the bed room. That way one can sleep-in or wake up with the sunlight. Thank you for alerting us to your preference. More

A great low key, affordable place to stay. Can you stay anywhere cheaper without camping? After a long day we enjoyed resting on the patio taking in the view and feeding bananaquits. I just wish we brought a hummingbird feeder too. It’s within walking distance to Dolphin market which has a lesser selection than Starfish market but similarly priced. The... More

Just a short walk up a hill from Cruz Bay Ferry Dock. Nothing fancy, but a good place to stay with basic amenities, including kitchen, TV, air conditioner, and separate bedroom. #3 is the best cottage because it is away from the road and the rooster. There is a good grocery store just down from Samuels. Also there aren't always... More

We stayed at samuel cottages from march 10th to 21st 2014. It was perfect for us, very affortable, well located, nice hospitality. Patrice came to welcome us, open to answer our questions. We were close to the beaches (need a car) walking distance from the dolphin market & all restaurants. The island is magical, we found our paradise. We loved... More

This is truly a mom and pop operation. I called Patrice to see about a room and she said all they had was an apartment that they had just renovated and were booking. They don't take credit cards, just cash or check. The apartment is nothing fancy but it sure would keep you safe in a hurricane. The area is... More

Let me start this review by saying that we have never been to the property. I booked for the property for a week stay in December. Patrice answered numerous questions that I had via email. She was extremely helpful. Due to my work schedule I had to cancel our reservation. I simply sent Patrice an email and she responded asking... More

Our family of 4 spent just one night here but would recommend it if you're looking for budget accomodations in Cruz Bay. It is small but clean. We needed to use the A/C in the bedroom at night. In the morning we walked to Dolphin Market to pick up breakfast, and then to Varlack to pick up our rental vehicle.... More
