My husband and I booked room # B14 for our Honeymoon in October 2022. First of all, the price was EXTREMELY reasonable. Maybe this was due to us vacationing before the official tourism season in St. Thomas began, but I am not exactly sure. When we arrived at Point Pleasant Resort, the woman who checked us in was so kind and gave us many tips and recommendations about how to get around and activities to do. The other staff were also very nice and accommodating. Just make note that there is no housekeeping service at the resort, but towels and other toiletries are available upon request. The view from our room was ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING; I personally think it had one of the best views on the entire island. It overlooked Water Bay and a few other US Virgin islands. Our balcony wrapped around 2 sides of the room and the sliding glass doors completely opened up, so even when we were in the room we were still able to enjoy the beautiful ocean breeze and sounds of nature around us. The condo was super clean, well-maintained, and even had air-conditioning. We did not use any of the pools during our stay, so I cannot speak on how clean or well-maintained they were. The location of Point Pleasant Resort is very convenient; it is within a 5-10 minute walk to the Margaritaville resort, Picaso's Coffee Bar, Coki beach, and the Coral World Ocean Park aquarium. Just note that you need to walk on a footpath along the rocky/uneven shoreline partially in the water to get to Margaritaville and other places near the resort. It wasn't too bad, but we needed to make sure to get back to the resort before dark so we didn't slip and get hurt. The resort is also about a 10 minute taxi ride to Red Hook and the ferry to St. John, and about a 30 minute drive to Charlotte Amalie and the Cyril E. King Airport. Unfortunately, the Shoreline Bar & Grille and the Mirador restaurants were closed during our stay due to renovations/rebranding. I believe they are due to reopen early to mid November. I knew that the Mirador was going to be closed due to the Point Pleasant Resort website, but they never said anything about the Shoreline Bar & Grille being closed until we got there, so that was pretty disappointing. Therefore, the only food/drinks available at the resort were a few items available for purchase in the lobby. Also, be aware that there is NO BEACH at this resort; the edge of the property is rocky and just goes straight into the water, there is no sand to sit on. Even the beach at the Margaritaville resort was washing away and was covered in seaweed, so we had to walk to Coki beach, which was still very nice. Finally, the only other downside was that the resort was EXTREMELY HILLY, so you definitely need to be somewhat physically fit to stay here if you plan on walking around. I definitely would not recommend it for older people or young children if you will be walking a lot. Overall, despite a few minor downsides, we really enjoyed our stay at Point Pleasant Resort and we hope to visit again sometime! We highly recommend it!

We stayed here for almost 2 weeks in a 1 bedroom condo with 2 full baths and had 2 teenagers with us. We stayed in unit A12. Upon arriving at the front security gate the guards were SO NICE! They were amazing and gave us the best first impression! We headed up the hill to the front desk for check in and again...extremely nice! We even had a flat tire on our rental and an employee came and pumped it up for us. Our condo was amazing and perfect! Very clean and supplied with everything we needed. The views were spectacular from our extremely large balcony and overlooked the ocean and you could even see Coral World and the dolphins. We brought binoculars and would watch them feeding the dolphins in the mornings. There are 3 pools located on the property and we used the middle and lower one by the water. All were very nice and clean. There are two restaurants on the premises but we only went to the lower one for breakfast one morning and it was our only bad experience. Service was beyond slow...like really that bad! Watch out for their "french toast" for breakfast because it's not what you think it is. It was a piece of french bread and that was it. There were tarpon at the restaurant and the kids got a kick out of watching them. They do have a shuttle service that will take you up and down the hills to the restaurants or pools. It's quite a walk and pretty steep. Parking here...well, it can be good or bad. For the most part, we managed to be able to park by our place, but if it was full, you were parking either up on a steep hill or down by the check in and having to walk back, which can be hard to do if you are carrying things like groceries, beach chairs and so on. They did come to replace our ENTIRE door on the 2nd day, which caused us to miss out on almost a half a day of planned activities. They were extremely slow with the replacement even though they said it would only be about 2 hours. It was more like 4 hours and they showed up right when we were about to leave. So that put a damper on things. The only other thing I noticed were there were maybe 3 days that we had absolutely no water for some reason. I don't know if they turned it off for maintenance in another condo or what but it eventually worked again within hours. There is a laundry facility on the premises. $3 to wash and .25 for every 6 minutes to dry and they are open late and worked well. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. It was clean, beautiful views, the most friendly staff we have ever encountered at a stay and great location (right next to Coral World and Coki and down the street from some of the nicest beaches). Amazing!

I loved this resort on previous visits, which granted were many years ago, so we dished out the enormous rates on Expedia and booked it 5 months ago. It wasn’t until we checked in that we were informed the owner of apparently ALL the food and bars on the resort had recently left. So they have NO FOOD and NO BEVERAGES. We were told at 6pm checkin that we could walk along the rocky beach path and through a little channel to get over to Margaritaville to eat……..after which it was dark to walk back. Everyone was friendly and sweet but the answer I got was that their website says the restaurants are closed. Only on the way to our room were we told that the lower pool is closed as well which was very disappointing to me. Our room was clean and the view was gorgeous, however having stayed prior I assumed upgrading to a villa would gain us the wrap around porch and glass view…..which was not the case. Bottom level and a little more blocked view than we preferred for the upgrade. The manager nicely did offer to move us the next day but we settled in and got groceries then we’re fine just being closer to the beach. I feel as if we should have been better informed prior to arrival. Whether booked through a third party or not, this was an expensive trip for us and this resort is pretty far out. Taxi rides killed us since we couldn’t hang out here, the resort didn’t offer anything in leiu of what we were missing. A refund of the upgrade to a villa would have been nice or a free shuttle to a grocery store or to Margaritaville even would have been something. Next time sadly I will book elsewhere and call to double check what to expect myself. But we did enjoy it and their little beach was fabulous! Just be more prepared and arrive earlier!

Thank you for the feedback. We apologize for the inconveniences. Our restaurants are undergoing renovations with a new management team and are working hard to create a brand-new eating experience for our guests. They will be open for your next arrival. We hope you give us a second chance as we are extending our lobby hours, opening a new watersports dock, and two new restaurants

Very beautiful location, easy access to Red Hook. Coki and Sapphire Beaches are close, as is the ferry to St John. The condos are all nice and the staff is super nice and accommodating. Pools are clean and the views are terrific. Absolutely loved our time there!!

First, we are blessed to be well seasoned Caribbean travelers. I read a lot of reviews before choosing Point Pleasant. I loved this condo for its views. The view from D31 could not be better! This is the main attraction. The condo was immaculate and well appointed with every appliance we needed. I will mention we did not have a bath tub, but the shower was upscale, and the homemade soap was amazing. You clean your own space, so, no one entering. You have ability to cook, which comes in handy because the markets are super expensive! Restaurant at the condo charges 20% upcharge, be mindful, the food was “ok”. The wait for this restaurant and all others was super super slow, compared to the US mainland. This was the spirit of most all events, slow and non attentive staff, again, compared to someone who teaches Service Excellence. In my humble opinion I observed a “culture” of anger from the people living there. No smiles, “hey how are you”, the spirit of hospitality is absent. Sad, the islands are so beautiful and the people are not. Next, the steps around Point Pleasant are naturally carved so very hard to navigate without staff van escorting you. Mr Willie was very professional, but made sure to find us to receive his tip for this transportation that we were dependent on. Gave the first guy a big tip when we got there ( in advance) then never saw him again! Linens were ok and available with asking. Lost our key the first day and at exit was charged 75$!! This is exorbitant even using St Thomas pricing. Suggest taking taxis everywhere as roads are narrow, steep, minimal parking, and drivers are not safe. That being said taxis rides really add up so add this into account. The upper pool is the nicest, warm and no thugs that hang around bottom pool by bar. The little path going to Margaritaville is sketchy, take bug spray, hold nose for sargasso, and watch high tide. Bugs are very bad. Would not choose to visit again, but glad did it once. Only positive is the view.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and thank you for the feedback. Our restaurants on property are going through on going renovations and will be reopened in November with a different set of management. All guests are charged $75 for missing keys to cover the costs of the security risk when a key is missing. We give out actual housekeys and when a key goes missing we sometimes have pay a locksmith to change the lock. As a seasoned traveler please be mindful of the hidden tones in the words that you use to describe locals. It is disappointing to hear that you ran into a few on island that were not hospitable to you. However, the people of the Virgin Islands are a beautiful set of people and a melting pot of the Caribbean. We strive to provide excellent service and it is sad to hear you will not give the island a second chance.

Most of the other reviews were correct. This is a great place! The view was awesome! The condo was very spacious for a family of 5 adults. The A/C worked very well!! There were plenty of comfortable beds! VERY clean ! Everything worked great including the 2 TVs Plenty of things to cook with in the kitchen...we made breakfast here both days. The hill driving in is scary the first time but you get used to it after that. The lady at the front desk was so nice and helpful. The van driver was nice as well. Don't hesitate, book this place.

This is my 2nd visit to Point Pleasant Resort. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The resort is located on hills and not recommended for those with mobility issues but a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a wonderful oceanside view. The staff is very attentive to needs and respond almost immediately. It would have been a 5 star rating, just wished there was a little more to do at the the resort (maybe pool activities or entertainment). D22 was a wonderful 2 bedroom unit and had a nice modern design, spacious and everything need to relax and cook meals, just needed a working tv in guest bedroom. The view from the unit was breath taking. The front desk and shuttle service on the resort closes at 6:00 pm and you will need taxi service beyond 6 pm if going offsite. The resort provides a list of recommended taxis which was nice but one in particular Jermaine is a DO NOT USE. Jermaine was unprofessional, rude and greedy but did put us in touch with one of the best and courteous drivers on the Island and in same breath second negative things about the driver when Jermaine learned we were using Lucky to tour the island (extremely unprofessional). Use Lucky 340-626-2823. Lucky arrived on time, took us on a wonderful tour of the island and just showed us an all around great time. Best darn taxi on the Island. This is an all around great resort and I would stay there again.

Mae Wong was such an amazing host. She provided us with more than enough information about the airbnb & the island. Travel guides, Restaurants, and even a taxi to pick us up from the airport. You are literally steps away from such a tasty restaurant. I recommend getting the nachos. There is also a path at margaritaville and coki beach off that restaurant as well. The room was very spacious and well lit. The shower & bed was HUGE. The sliding doors brought in good light as well. You are also steps away from the pool. Def would stay in again.

First of all, DO NOT BOOK THROUGH TRIP ADVISOR! They charge more and have terrible customer service. Book directly through Point Pleasant's site, where you can also view all of the different rooms and pick the best one. My sister and I stayed in D23 for one week. I think we had the best view on the property! Admittedly, it's at the top of all of the hills, which means lots of steps, which we don't mind, and lots of wind, but it gives you a panoramic view from Hans Lollik Island in the USVI all the way to Tortola and Jost Van Dyke in the BVI! There is a really small private beach with rocks that we though was just beautiful, and had a better view than Coki beach, which is very crowded and where lots of locals are trying to sell you weed. There are three pools on site. The best is the Terrace pool. Newer deck, beautiful landscaping and great view. We had a full kitchen that was stocked with all the pots and pans we'd need, outdoor seating, nice sized living room, dining table, etc. The bed was rock hard and pillows sucked, but we dealt. We met other people staying on the island who paid 50% more than we did on the west side of the island where they had to pay more to take taxis everywhere, didn't have a pool, full kitchen, etc. This was really reasonably priced and is in a great location just a few minutes away from Red Hook where you can eat and take the ferry to St. Johns. Would definitely go back and stay here!

We stayed at room E3. The sliding door was brocked and was impossible to close the door. It took 3 days and 5 complains to be repaired! TV was not working and remote controls with dead batteries. 2 days to be repaired! After 6 nights we asked for fresh linning for the beds. 2 days later they sent us towels instead. It couldn't be worst! No dish washer, no washing facilities, utencils and fridge rusting. in the kitchen there were only 2 forks!!! One normal size and one small. Missing so many utencils. The apartments have very nice view but you dont walk around in the resort. You need transportation to go to the lobby, pool and restaurant. The access is very steep. Terrible for people with age and dangerous for children. Impossible to be Guest there without a car. They drive left hand in the Island. That place should never be called "RESORT".
