The elysian, is not the Ritz Carlton. My only complain with the resort is the room. The room was outdated. Once you stepped in, you were brought back to 1980s. I stayed in a Studio Parlor which was big and had a full kitchen and murphy bed and several other seating. The balcony was great. I did some of my... More

We just returned from the Elysian Resort-stayed in room 118, studio king- nice view of the water. This resort looks wonderful from the outside. Grounds are very well maintained. Staff is ok-most were very nice, but a few were not very helpful and made us feel as if we were bothering them. Customer service could be better(when we checked out,... More

We just got back from St. Thomas, and you can tell the sort of vacation it was when I say I’m overjoyed to come home to a rainy, cold midwinter Philadelphia. The source of nearly all of my vacation discontent was the horrible Elysian “resort”. Based on the room size, quality and upkeep a more truthful label would be “executive... More

Very nice; the staff was wonderful at all times. Room was very clean. Pool and beach were very nice, and the restaurants on site were good too. We are already planning another trip here for next winter, but we're bringing the kids next time.

The Elysian looks great from the outside and the grounds are beautiful, as well as the view of Cowpet Bay. But, a great view is limited to very few condos. While it states that nearly all rooms have a view of the Carribean, it is true but sometimes (as was the case for our rooms) the view is a very... More

I was concerned before traveling as I had read the previous reviews and was a bit nervous, but had a great time. When we arrive at 10 p.m., late from the airport, the desk manager was still there, not the best informed, but was very friendly and as helpful as he could be. We were so tired from travelling that... More

We went to St. Thomas, hoping for a nice getaway from NYC. We enjoyed a nice Studio Parlor with well-equipped kitchen, the excellent activities concierge service, the beach and pool. The main restaurant was excellent and the prices reasonable for the Virgin Islands.

Again, I don't see why this place doesn't get better reviews. The staff was very responsive and helpful. The beach, pool, pool bar (with it's $2.00 tacos and happy hour drinks), Ainsley's beach bar and Robert's restaurant and bar are all great. I'd happily go yet again.

I was given a room that the electronic key did not work. In two days, I had to return to the front desk (which is approximately 300 ft) below the room levels to have my key reprogrammed. On Sunday night (after being there one day), I went to dinner and when I returned the door would not open. The front... More

Check-in took a nightmare three and a half hours. The Caribbean Queen was not smiling or friendly at all (no name badge - beware). She spent the entire time on personal phone calls and occasionally was able to barely look up and answer phone calls. They gave us a key for M305, and while climbing lots of stairs it is... More
