When we checked in there was nobody to help with the bags so I grabbed a baggage cart but only made it a short distance before there were 3 stairs going down. I looked and 10 feet later there were three more going up. 10 feet further and there were another 20 going up. No elevator so I had to...

We booked this resort through a time share. The resort is on the north side of the island, around locals. It is an older resort; however, we felt very comfortable there. It has a casual feel to it. We stayed on the first floor. The room was a little small, but we didn't mind. we had a mini kitchenette with...

The staff was phenomenal... helped with planning excursions and transportation, as well as made great recommendations for meals. The activities director had family friendly activies planned. The onsite coffee shop and bar were great. This is our new "go to" vacation getaway. Below are pictures of the view from our room.

Listen, as long as you know EXACTLY what you're in for, it's fine. But don't go in with any grand expectations. The resort is dated, the rooms are extremely dated. But it's clean, and the grounds are well maintained. Our unit stayed cooler than any hotel room I've ever had, which we loved. There is a tennis court, which we...

I took this trip solo and wound up having a great time. My studio room was a bit dated, but very comfortable and worked well for my needs. The resort overlooks Megans Bay, which can be seen from many locations and makes for a nice sunset photo op. The pool area was great and Shenanigan's Sports Bar, which is poolside,...

I stayed at the Flamboyan on the Bay (formerly Magen's Point Resort) From May 7th to 14th. It's in a great location with Magen's Bay being about 3 min drive and 20 mins to any location on the island you want to visit. The staff were friendly and super polite from the front desk ladies to the security guards including...

The North-side location is very tucked away & secluded! Staff is great, has onsite "mini-market" & bar/restaurant (Shenanigans) w great food. Close to Magen's Bay, Coki Beach, Red Hook (St. John ferries), close enough to Charlotte Amalie if you want to do the down-town thing. If you truly want to explore the island & St. John, I would definitely rent...

My husband and I stayed at the Flamboyan on the Bay (formerly Magen's Point Resort) from April 9-16 of 2016. We are RCI members and traded for a studio unit at this resort. We were looking for a place that was central to the island and a good jumping off point to get out and explore the island. This resort...

Returned in March from our annual visit to Magen's Point Resort (MPR) aka Flamboyan. The resort looked good and we were able to check in upon our arrival. Our unit has received a new toilet and bath sink since our 2015 visit (YAHOO!) We usually skip the resort orientation but decided to attend this year. Glad we did! We met...

We were a family of 4 adults and enjoyed this resort very much. The unit was a little dated but accommodated us very well. Our view of Megans Bay made up for the lack of inside amenities like a dishwasher or full oven. We prepared breakfast, lunch and a couple of dinners without a problem. The grounds are beautiful and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Flamboyan on the Bay Resort & Villas is a two and a half star, unpretentious and very relaxed resort facing Magens Bay. Our facilities include two restaurants, one Italian finer dining featuring a wine-mojito bar, and the pool sports bar with burgers, bbq, pizza and sandwiches. We offer two jacuzzis, tennis courts, a coffee-deli-wine on site shop with breakfast, a gaming room, a small fitness center offering also yoga, zumba and massage services. All our studios and villas have been tastefully redone, and are fully equipped with kitchenettes, microwaves and small fridges, plus energy efficient air conditioning units. Most units also face Magens Bay, and you can wake up to spectacular views of the bay, or watch the sun set from your balcony while sipping the cocktail of your choice.Last year RCI awarded us recognition for excellence in hospitality services, and since 2010 we have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars upgrading our facilities. We may not be for everyone, true. But if you are looking for that "limin" effect that locals brag about.. come stay with us. We promise you an unforgettable experience. Flamboyan on the Bay Resort & Villas is what the islands should be all about. ... more   less
