Gunnar & Leah are amazing hosts and there is no better view than from this property. Every time I visit St Thomas I go to Villa Marbella. You will not be sorry, thios place is amazing! Ask them about car & jeep rentals if you need one.
Everything was perfect during our stay at Villa Marbella. The location is great and the owners (Leah and Gunnar) are simply fantastic and super attentive people. Would definitely go back to this paradise. The view from the pool is amazing and i could stay there for hours (jointly with the super cute dogs). Villa Marbella is a place more than recommended. The suite was equipped with water, coffee machine, snacks, plus a fully equipped kitchen, which allowed us to have great meals without having to leave the room. Hope to see you soon in St. Thomas!
A friend and I stayed for several days in April. It’s a nice quiet place with good ocean views. The path to the beach is a little rough so be careful. Leah and Gunnar the owners were great and told us to use whatever we needed. Coolers, towels beach chairs etc. the pool was nice and clean as was our room. The stairs to the loft where the beds are located are a bit steep so be careful if you’ve had a few cocktails but other than that the room is great.
i honestly don't even know where to start, i wish i could give it a 10. Amazing views, nice clean pool and a comfy loft. i wouldn't stay anywhere else. you can even rent a jeep from here. Leah. the owner picked us up from the airport, stopped for us at the grocery store before we checked in. that was awsome, thx Leah.. if you plan on visiting STT stay here, you will thank me later. Leah and Gunnar and the dogs are wonderful...muchas gracias amigos!!! see you again!!!
We loved everything about our week at Villa Marbella. We stayed in the Mountain View room which had everything we needed including our own patio where we ate breakfast each day (small fridge in the room for milk for our cereal) and took in the absolutely incredible views. Those views come at a small cost - until I got used to it, driving up to this location is a little scary! But that seems to be the case driving about anywhere in St. Thomas. Leah and Gunner are great - always asking if we needed anything. The pool was kept very clean and we enjoyed spending time there with their sweet dogs, such a treat! You absolutely must rent a car if you choose to stay here - we loved hopping in our jeep and visiting the various beaches and restaurants St. Thomas has to offer. There is a beach within walking distance (down a steep nature trail) from this location, but it wasn't as inviting as the ones we drove to every day. Personal preference of course. We would definitely stay here again!…
I loved the superb view and the friendly dogs. The kitchinet was convenient to prepare breakfast and dinner with local ingredients, but I wished it more spacious and with a sink. We rented a jeep through the owner and we hopped on several beaches during our stay. It made our stay lot easier and more experience to feel the island.
I loved the views here! I stayed in the Frenchman's View Loft and I loved that it had this great size patio. It was like an extension of our room. The view of the pool and beyond to the ocean was fantastic. There was a 5 to 10 minute hike down to a semi-private stretch of beach that we loved. There were tall rocks near where we put our things that kept sand off and also provided shade. The waves were little and calm. Nice and relaxing spot. You have to hike back up but I thought that was nice too, because it was like a free mini hiking excursion. In regards to the loft itself, my husband can get pretty warm in regular hotels, but this place did stay pretty cool with the air conditioner and stand up fans they have in there, plus the ceiling fan so that was a plus. They do have two dogs that were quiet and calm, so if you are not a dog person (like me), this still worked out. They would come for a minute or so and eventually leave on their own or they were easy to coax back into their area. My husband is a dog person so he was happy to see the pooches. I have nothing bad to say about this place. Only suggestion to a visitor is be aware that you will be driving up and down hills and on the left hand side to go back and forth. Taxis may not go up that high. But my husband caught on with the driving and we were good to go. My husband also enjoyed seeing the cruise ships come in and out of port because this location was the pathway for them. The pool is really nice. I felt like I was "living the life!" like a celebrity. lol Anyway, I recommend this place and I hope others enjoy it as much as I did. Leah and Gunner, thanks for the Rum!…
We stayed here from March 12 to 26 and everything about the villa was wonderful. The owners are GREAT and the dogs are a special treat. The pups are very very friendly. The beach down from the villa was wonderful and we were the only ones on it for 3 days. We stayed in the cruzen room and the porch and the view are perfect for watching cruise ships come in or just watching the sailboats float by, The rooms have everything you need and the owners are always checking with you to see if you needed anything.Renting a car from them is wise, because the villa is 10 minutes from town.We had a great time here and you will too.
I booked this hotel on the Expedia website. I arrived at 8:30 pm after flying all day on two flights from Florida. I was shocked at how rude they were to me. They told me they had been out wining and dining all evening and had a room but had not gotten it cleaned and did not care if I was stranded and had nowhere to go! They were so uncaring and unkind. They treated me like I was lying about the booking and again we’re not willing to let me into the room and didn’t care that I was a lone 57 year old woman in the middle of an island with nowhere to stay on my trip. They told me to leave. It then took me two hours on the phone with Expedia to get a refund of my money and only after they called the hotel six times and could not get anyone to answer the phone to explain why they denied my booking. What a horrible experience I had. The road to get to the hotel was full of pot holes and was very narrow with a very steep incline. The hotel was not what I expected as it was in a hard to get to location and was more like a bed and breakfast (the owners loved there too) with nowhere to restaurants within a 20 to 30 minute drive and no beach in site.…
My fiance and another couple stayed in here in the Mountain View suite. We loved the quiet, secluded location, and the walking path to the beach was clutch. We rented a car through the owners of the Villa as well, which was a huge asset. They even picked us up from the aiport and provided a brief tour of the island. Rooms were spacious and clean and provided wonderful views. Overall, it was a wonderful, relaxing stay and the owners (Gunnar and Leah) were the most ideal hosts. Would highly recommend!
