Five of us were delighted to stay at Cottages in Cocktail and Coral Rooms. The soft sand beach is fantastic with generally calm, clear waters. Having taken photos throughout the island, the most beautiful were right here at Cottages. At Dorsch Beach 5 minutes up the road we snorkeled with sea turtles, cuttlefish, starfish, etc. Our grandson loved playing in the water and keeping track of the resident cats. Definitely rent a car so you can take the short trip to Polly's for breakfast or grab ice cream at Armstrong's, plus you can also visit the capital or Cane Bay. Cocktail Room was quite nice with an amazing view. Beds were very comfortable, essential for sleeping. Our only complaint was too much light coming through the door's window. Hoping Cottages never changes as we would like to return and see it just as it is, a timeless classic.

My husband & I were looking for a place for our 30th wedding anniversary, and we couldn’t have been happier! Everyone was wonderful, the cottage & the views were amazing. If you like snorkeling right outside your front door, gorgeous ocean views, and just relaxing in the sun, this is the place for you! Already making plans to go back.

My husband and I stayed at the cottages last year for our honeymoon and again this year with our blended family (us and 6 kids). Location is gorgeous and less populated than the other side of the island. The crystal clear ocean is literally right outside the front door, and we swam with fish, rays, sea turtles, star fish, eels, etc. (Definitely bring a mask and snorkel!!) The facilities provide a little home away from home, including a full kitchen so we could cook instead of going out for every meal, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We interacted with many different staff members throughout our stays both last year and this year, and they were all friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We just got home and are already talking about booking our third visit next year!

Just got home from a 6 day stay at cottages by the sea. Unbelievably beautiful and already can’t wait to go back. My husband planned this trip as my 50th birthday gift and I am so pleased that I turned 50 right on this gorgeous beach. We stayed in calabash and it was perfect for us. The air conditioning was great in the room and the little kitchen had everything that we needed to make breakfast every morning. Dish soap and trash bags are provided as well as plenty of towels… Even beach towels. There is a hairdryer, and iron and ironing board and a safe for valuables. We had a king bed in our room and it was extremely comfortable which was a pleasant surprise. Plenty of pillows. Our little porch was perfect for morning coffee and even eating breakfast outside. It was a dream… Absolutely perfect and I would not choose to stay anywhere else. There is one washer and dryer and it cost two dollars to wash and two dollars to dry. The washer and dryer stayed busy so you kind of have to watch close if you want a turn. The beach side Café next-door is a great option for a few meals if you don’t want to venture out after a long day on the beach. There are plenty of bicycles available to use and also a basket full of sunscreen and lotion that people have left behind. We did borrow some of those. There are multiple sets of beach chairs out on the sand. We had no trouble finding empty ones to sit in. There is amazing snorkeling right in front of the complex. Crystal clear water and beautiful fish and other sea life to be seen just steps into the water. There are a few large rocks but water shoes are not necessary because mostly it is soft white sand. Best vacation ever.

Everything from check-in to check-out was wonderful. The staff is so helpful and polite. It is a beautiful beachfront property. We utilized the bicycles, which were in great shape. They had a wide selection of beach gear to use (rafts, noodles, snorkel gear, etc). The room was super charming and the property is very well kept. The housekeeping and maintenance staff were on top of their game. Loved it! We will stay again if we make it to St Croix. Also, when the locals asked us where we are staying, they perked up with our response of Cottages by the Sea.

Beautiful, peaceful, quiet and clean. We found it to be just perfect. The beach was stunning, and the staff was super friendly. The sunsets were wonderful. We enjoyed that the cottages provided shaded areas over the beach chairs and around the grilling space.

This is the only place we have ever stayed on the island and ever will stay! The staff is so helpful and friendly. Paul - the owner - has made this place a must for anyone who visits St Croix. The cottages are perfect - not fancy but everything you need! The property is very well maintained and beautiful! The beach is breathtaking!

This was my 2nd trip to Cottages by the Sea. The 1st time we came down 4 years ago shortly after hurricane Maria and found the incredible tranquility irresistible. So we booked a family reunion here and had 5 cottages for our family. Each cottage has a different flavor and flavor so check them out before you book. Our favorite is Cruzan or Caribe with the big patio facing the ocean. They provide you with games and books and snorkel gear and beach chairs and there's a restaurant so you don't even have to leave the property. There are bicycles you can use and just simply walk the Beach. There's hardly any current on the side of the island so it's delightful to just float in the warm Caribbean. Our style is more boutique and intimate so this was perfect for us. If you like large loud busy resort style vacations than this isn't for you. If you like peace and quiet and mother nature then you will come back again and again
