We spent several nights at this property and had an amazing experience. You are directly on the ocean. The restaurant had nice food and great entertainment in the evenings. There were fire dancers, Magicians, and an event planned every night. Our room had a nice King bed and was updated. The property is well maintained and really beautiful. I'm rating them as a 4 due to the fresh water situation. Apparently it is not recommended to drink the water. We were not told about this and when we asked the front desk on day two the lady made it sound like drinking the water was really a bad idea. Sure wish they had told this from the beginning.
This was a great place to stay , Well maintained, VIew from the Balcony was amazing, water crystal Clear. Staff very friendly. Just an all around great vacation. I will definitely Stay there next time i go to visit.
Restaurant- we had several meals here- they were good. We only had light dinners- no full entrees. They have nightly specials that sounded good. We were told by a bar patron that the food used to be bad; however, staffing had changed. The nightly entertainment was fun! Ocean view room- great view. The bed was really comfortable. Short walk to the beach and restaurant.
Great central location on island. The view is amazing and the sea & sky morphs with the seasons, type of weather and time of day. The restaurant is in a covered outside area with comfortable seating. Service is good and so is the food. The lobby, bar area and restaurant were updated following the hurricanes of 2017. The women’s bathroom is spacious and very nice.
St Croix is a beautiful island and it’s hard not to have a wonderful time here on vacation-and we did-but this hotel came up very short in several categories. Especially for the price of $321 nightly. We paid for 15 nights! As others have said, there is no hospitality at the front desk upon check in. It’s hard to imagine being greeted any less friendly and less welcoming. You get a key and are asked for your credit card and that’s about it. I had to ask for a layout or map to understand where our room is-which was off in a different building. After a 10 hour travel day upon arriving literally no one said welcome-or glad you’re with us for the next 2 weeks, etc. My husband and I joked that it was like checking into the Bates Motel. The rooms are really very sparse and dated. The mattresses were good but no extra pillows , or blankets or the basic amenities you’d expect for $321 nightly. The lighting is very poor, and the lack of outlets makes it hard -actually impossible -to use a coffee maker or any other appliance. No full length mirrors anywhere in the room. We paid for the most expensive ocean front room and upon arriving our room had no working AC. We realized this after unpacking. It was extremely humid and we knew we’d need the AC. We walked back to the main building and told them the issue and asked to be moved to a room with a working AC. The first response from the front desk was” I can’t do anything about it until my manager comes in”. This story could be long and winded (more) but I’ll say that it was only after being offered a fan, (!) and waiting in the lobby for 25 minutes did the manager arrive and say she could have a repairman look at it tomorrow! I felt like we had just booked a 10 day bad experience. After stating we needed to move, we moved ourselves to a different room that was seemingly in worse shape than the first. We did get comped a dinner for 2 in the restaurant and a taxi ride but only after we asked . The front desk and manager desperately need some hospitality training. No one told us about the activities planned or how to get snorkel gear..just plain blah..”give me your credit card and license”.Pros: great view and nice beach. Restaurant service gets a C -breakfast food good but the waits are unreasonable. Breakfast waitress is a sweet and warm as possible. She was a highlight of the stay. Wish I could have given a better review but I’m trying to be helpful for others.…
