Perfect location, private beach, friendly staff, close to lots of restaurants. Having a small kitchenette in our room enabled us to do some of our own meals which helped keep costs down. but to be honest, the food provided by the restaurant on the island was very reasonably priced. A full breakfast cost around $11 per person and a main... More

The hotel is located on an island that is a 4 minute boat ride from the town of Christiansted. Free for hotel guests. The ferry runs on demand and they go back and forth 100s of times a day. Never had to wait. The beach was great. We bought beer in Gallows Bay and took it with us to the... More

My fiance and I visited Hotel on the Cay recently. Our stay here 5/17-5/24 was very relaxing and peaceful. The hotel is on such a cool little island with a nice beach. Staff work hard on the landscaping, rooms have comfy beds and some basic necessities which allow you to eat meals in your room if you have some staples.... More

We rented a villa for a week but decided to add an extra day to our trip and stay here. I wish we could've stayed longer! I can't believe how affordable it is. Cheaper than some run down motel off some interstate but in the middle of paradise. Everyone in our group was pretty impressed. We got a friendly greeting... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week and really enjoyed our time here. The room had a little balcony with an ocean view, a nice bathroom, and a small kitchenette with a microwave, toaster oven, and a small fridge with plenty of dishes. The private beach is nice and the hotel is well maintained. We really liked that... More

John, the general manager of the hotel was friendly, personable, and very welcoming. Interesting man, working on his PhD in his spare time and also maintaining an interest in his guests. Always professional, helpful and kind while looking after the best interest of his guests. While the inner courtyard could use some maintenance and upkeep, the rooms were clean, well... More

I found my stay at "Hotel on the Cay" to be extremely enjoyable. The staff Ana, Sarah, and Memsa went out of their way to ensure my visit was pleasurable. Their customer service was surprisingly pleasant (due to the continuous inadequate service that is usually received here on-island in STX compared to STT, which is unfortunate.) The rooms and hotel... More

This was just a long weekend, wedding anniversary trip. In its time this was probably a gorgeous hotel. It's still a wonderful location and concept but in bad need of investors to renovate. This could easily be 5 star with money & renovation. Service was very slow but friendly. They only serve breakfast & lunch. The "restaurant" is not associated... More

You can not prepare for the beauty of this little cay in the middle of the harbor. Everything is almost perfect Every view is breathtaking, every piece of ground is meticulously maintained, and the staff is wonderful. The only disappointment was no hotel restaurant and bar. Of course, his is offset by 24 hour free ferry service. By the way,... More
