The communal areas of the hotel, spa and beach are amazing. However there are many many issues at this hotel: 1. Arrival. No proper welcome or tour of the resort. No information on timings of breakfast etc. we had to ask for a towel and welcome drink - this is in a hotel that charged over a $1,000 a night for the junior suite. 2. The first junior suite we were given was right on the pool with no privacy and the net curtains would not close. We had to insist on being moved. The room we were moved to was higher up and slightly better than the other poor room but still substandard and rundown. There were stains on the furniture. The shower was something from the 80’s, it was so out dated. 3. Service was so poor at this hotel. We had to ring reception 3 times for towels or the bed to be made up - or even water not provided in the room. Generally the staff were mostly sullen unless you tip them each and every time. This should not be expected for the cost of the room. There was a clear difference in service provided to those with the higher category rooms with a butler- it was very noticeable. We also heard staff complaining at breakfast after being told off by a manger in front of us. We then went back to our room and housekeeping were swearing loudly in the room next door even though they could hear us going into our rooms. This level of unprofessionalism was standard. 4. Breakfast quality was so poor. We had better fresh fruit from the local IGA supermarket. 5. We were not given anything when we left - not even a bottle of water for the journey to the airport! 6. Also not told the buoys surrounding the reef on grace bay which we were snorkelling around had fire coral on it which stung! We should’ve been warned by the pool staff when we borrowed the snorkels. On the flip side the spa was amazing and tranquil. We had the pink salt scrub was was fabulous. All the masseurs were fantastic. The beach was glorious. The Wi-Fi was excellent and accessible from the beach. The pool and pool side restaurant was brilliant. The hotel looked so pretty at night. Really picturesque and beautiful. A big shout out to the female concierge. We didn’t grab her name but she was really lovely. I would not pay that kind of money again - but it seems the whole of Providenciales is completely overpriced ☹️…
My husband and I recently stayed for a week at The Palms. From the minute we checked in until we left, our experience was wonderful. The resort was beautiful and the staff treated us as if we were celebrities. Ariker, the concierge, made dinner reservations for us for the entire week and always greeted us warmly when we were in the lobby. Irvina, who checked us in, gave us a tour of the resort and answered all of our questions. Breakfast was amazing and the hostess and servers, especially Reasa, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. All of the beach staff were gracious and efficient in getting us set up with chairs and umbrella and were friendly and courteous to everyone. Special thanks to Vega for making us feel like family. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and came back from the beach to find a beautiful chocolate cake in our room. Dinner at Pharrell 23 was delicious and Nicole went out of her way to make the celebration special. Our week at The Palms was wonderful and we are counting the days till we return. Heartfelt thanks to everyone for making this a magical vacation.…
I and my wife had a most enjoyable and happy time at the Palms, from the time we checked in to the day we left. Everyone was so caring and smiling at first sight. Very happy to help with anything. Breakfast especially was the best way to start our day in the most relaxing atmosphere, the beach and pool are 2nd to none. The entire staff was very friendly. Our room was very very clean and comfortable. People like Max for integrity with maintenance. Carol at parallel 23 restaurant and Dywan at the beach activity and everyone else such wonderful and dedicated people
When you stay at a five-star resort that charges as much as the Palms does, you don't expect your room's shower curtain to have red mold on it, your room's carpet to be frayed, or the screen door to your patio to have a big hole in it. And you expect a certain level of service that the Palms simply does not provide. For instance, one day at breakfast a server never came to our table to take our beverage order; another day, it took hours at the pool for someone to come by to pick up garbage. And in my experience at places like this, the servers at the pool seem to come by every 15 minutes or so...not so here, where you could go an hour or more without seeing anyone. And it's not like we are rude or don't tip...it's just that the staff here seems disinterested, bored, or unfriendly unless you tip them generously and constantly. We have stayed at much nicer places with much better service for significantly less money. We will not be going back.…
We loved the resort. We loved the buffet breakfast. We loved the room. Beach and pool were gorgeous Unfortunately we went in early December and the pool (unheated) and the beach water were too cold. Five days at the resort and on the island was more than enough with nothing to do. Food is very expensive. We walked down the street and ate at two great restaurants - Mr Grouper and the Bay Bistro. Both 3 minute walk. Felt safe. No dancing, no music, no activities or anything going on day or night at the Palms. . If you just want to eat and sleep then The Palms is for you. Great for older adults and families with kids under 5. Didn’t get to spa or gym because we left resort day and night looking for something to do. Da Conch Shack Wednesday and the Island fish fry Thursday which is about as exciting as it gets. Don’t miss either. You can walk to festival from the hotel. Island is under a lot of construction with so many unpaved roads and unfinished buildings. This is not the island where the cruise ships take you. Perhaps when weather gets warmer I would go back and stay at Beaches where there is entertainment. Pams in somewhat remote area and too quiet for me. Btw a hamburger costs $25 plus tip and tax. All food bills automatically add on both.…
This hotel has gorgeous grounds, stunning Victorian yet modern style rooms, beautiful pool area and fabulous dining. But it’s the beach & views of the ocean for me! It was the best beach experience I’ve had so far but I’m sure that’s because of the beautiful clear water! Service at the hotel for the most part was good but staff could step it up a bit seeing how nice of a hotel it is. I wasn’t given a tour of property upon checking in and didn’t know until I was leaving that they had a fully stocked store! I was hungry late at night so having some late night sandwiches or snacks can be helpful as well. Overall it was a lovely, relaxing stay!
I’m not one to usually write a review, but our recent experience at the Palms was so amazing that I had to share my accolades for this resort. From the moment we checked in, every person we encountered was so unbelievably friendly, helpful and positive that you just had to smile. But it didn’t stop with the people. Our two bedroom oceanfront suite was nothing short of perfect. Upon entering our room for the first time, we were blown away not only by its size but also its amenities. Full kitchen, washer/dryer and coffee maker. And don’t even get me started on the view which could have been a postcard. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that one of the first things we noticed in the room was the level of cleanliness and attention to detail. Everything was crisp and clean and impeccable. It again reinforced our tremendous first impression of the resort. The housekeeping staff continued this high standard throughout our stay and should be commended. In addition to the room and the people, I should also note the pool and beach scene. Both were very well kept and well staffed. We spent most of our time on the beach and absolutely loved the scene and service. Finally, I should make note of the food. The breakfast buffet, The Plunge Bar and 72 Degrees were all well received by our family. Again, it wasn’t just the food, it was the people that made the experience. While everyone we met was incredibly positive, I’d like to give a special shout out to Chrissie at the front desk, Rico on the beach and Reasa and Carmelita in the restaurants. You are all top notch and helped to make this vacation one of our best. In short, The Palms was a winner and we can’t wait to return!…
The Palms does not disappoint. We’ve been 5 years in a row and have had an excellent time each and every time we stay here. There is plenty to do and great restaurants. Poolside is amazing with sun and shady spots and the beach, in my opinion, is the best in Grace Bay. They have a wonderful little boutique with top quality designer beachwear but the best part this time was the service I got from Michael who works there. It was like shopping with my bestie as he gave me his expert opinion on my selections. The other bright star in our stay was Terrance who works at the pool- we were greeted each day with his smile which was bigger than a beautiful sunset. So, if you’re planning a trip for either a Romantic getaway (which l have done) or with your family (which I have also done) be sure to come stay at The Palms and find Michael in the boutique and Terrance at the poolside bar. You won’t want to stay anywhere else. …
Parallel 23 restaurant, excellent service by Monica !!!She is amazing, loving and caring! The dinner was served on time and not only that it was served with love and care , funny predisposition and with a smile ! Great bartenders at the beach. Ricky,Cord and Juvenel were our beach bartenders. All the beach people from setting up chairs to delivering food to taking care of water sports were just awesome. Stacy, Dwayne, Cal. Also the concierge Anika helped us tremendously. Accommodations and location are perfect on Grace Bay Beach. Even the people that greeted us and showed us the property were so gracious unfortunately can't remember all their names but everyone was so friendly and went out of their way to accommodate you . Can't wait to come back.
