This is our favorite restaurant and place to be. Years ago when my son first was diagnosed with celiac chef Walky came to greet us and explained the amazing options that he could make for our son. He personally ensured a safe environment and full menu we were so touched that we came back every year for the amazing Turks water and beach but mainly due to our new favorite chef. Covid disrupted our visits. TCI Covid restrictions continue to hinder our ability to see our favorite place. If your lucky enough to get to Turks go to the ocean club west for dinner, ask to see chef walky and enjoy the best chef on the island who will make you anything you want and accommodate any allergy concern. Thank you chef walky for taking care of our family and we hope to be able to see you soon!!! The only VIPs LOL.…
We loved our stay here. We had a one bedroom suite and a two bedroom suite. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The pool is huge, there is no shortage of chairs on the beach nor around the pool, The staff was friendly and helpful. This is so much more affordable than other places but just as nice. One note, there is no elevator, which could be a problem for those with limited mobility.
This was our 4th time staying at the property. In my opinion, this resort has one of the best pools for families, and it right in the center of Grace bay. The location can’t be beat with the ability to walk to the grocery store among many restaurants and shops. Our unit gave us amazing ocean views from a huge screened porch. The units are dated and certain repairs can be done, but clean and large. Staff was beyond friendly - including bellboy, housekeeping, restaurant staff, beach staff. Highly recommend.
This is our second stay at OCW. I cannot express enough how convenient this location is to walk to grocery, restaurants and shopping. The beach is beautiful and the waters here are relatively calm and very clear. The staff is very attentive to your needs although the pool does not offer poolside service - you have to order at the bar outside of the pool. The room we stayed in building E had a great view of the ocean but could have been updated more. The amenities in the kitchen were not as vast as our previous unit and also didn't have common staples like seasoning, cooking oil, etc.
First trip back to Turks since before Covid. A little bit of sticker shock as the price of food has dramatically increased at both the grocery stores and restaurants. Price of booze is crazy. Cleaning staff seem over worked.
The primary bathroom shower was a trickle of water, zero water pressure. The TV kept going in and out of service so ended up giving up on that. Some windows were screens only so if you wanted the AC on (which would did because it was HOT) you had to close the shutters which blocked all light and all view. The sliding glass door in the primary didn’t work or was broken. The beds were super hard making it difficult to sleep for most of us. We were in Unit 223. The screened in porch, oceanfront and location of the resort was great as was the food at the restaurant.
What a great property. This was my third stay here but the last one was six years ago. The place is very well maintained. The rooms are spacious. I had a two bedroom oceanfront and a one room as well for the family. It’s nice to have a kitchen and extra space. The staff is very pleasant and hard working. Alex the bartender on the beach was excellent. The location is wonderful, you can safely walk to many restaurants and the grocery store. You don’t need to have a car. The beach is spectacular. If you are looking for a nice getaway to relax and spend time on one of the nicest beaches in the world this is it.
I have nothing really to complain about my stay at OCW. I would like to give a big shout out to BEN the bartender at the pool bar who took care of us every time we ordered. The food was good, service is a little slow but that's all over the island.
We have stayed in this Hotel for many years. This August we stayed in Room 122. Refrigerator not working, Plumbing issues, furniture issues, Roaches, WiFi issues, etc. We provided a complete list to the front desk in detail of all the issues. Lost a week's worth of refrigerated food. Wasn't happy with this room. The management should not allow the owners to run it down like this or rather just don't rent these out.
Spent 3 days at Ocean Club East and 5 days at Ocean Club West. Enjoyed our time at both. You can't go wrong with either location. Both have very friendly staff and the rooms were very modern and well maintained. Location of both are actually perfect. East really isn't that bad either especially with the shuttle service. I would definitely recommend this place
