It was a beautiful place to stay, but shouldn’t be titled as a hotel. Was more like a vrbo, because no one was helpful when in need. Was greeted with a very rude receptionist and housekeeper both with attitudes. Mannerism isn’t a thing in TC that’s for sure. But the 3-star hotel offers a spacious room, with kitchen, w/d unit, spacious closet, and more towels and pillows in closets.
Do yourself a favor and stay literally ANYWHERE else. For starters this should barely be considered a hotel. If you take a look at the website and think "oh this isn't that bad" you'd be wrong. The website pictures are EXTREMELY misleading. This is actually a condo building that has various rooms available to stay in. We were treated to a ground floor room with a lovely view of the parking lot. Among the overall grey motif and mysterious stains on the wall we were also lucky enough to find dead bug splatters throughout the room and a moldy shower head. The "staff" were incredibly rude and could not be bothered with helping us with anything. I put "staff" in quotes because they aren't hotel staff, they manage the condo. They aren't intended to be helpful especially with any needs you'd expect from a concierge or anyone working at a resort or hotel. We only stayed for one night and it was one too many. If you ever stay here expecting a nice hotel/resort feel you'll be so sad and your trip will be ruined. So again, stay literally ANYWHERE else -- you'll be so glad you did.…
I killed a cockroacj my first night. There was no telephone number for their front desk in the room. I had to physically go to reception the next day and they offered to spray the room. The shower only had cold water. When I told front desk, they said someone came to fix it, but the water was still cold. It wasn't fixed until 15 minutes before I checked out. I was never offered any efforts at service recovery.
Stayed here for just one night. Room was pleasant if a little small. Spotlessly clean with great A/C and really terrific bed. Ate at Simones (adjacent). Food was quite good, if a little expensive. Had a glitch with pick up not showing up. Person in office (wish I had her name) was so kind in getting us transportation! Really helped us out of a jam! Would stay here again without hesitation.
Nice hotel located in Turtle Cove. We rented a studio which was huge at over 900 sq ft. I recommend the 2nd and 3rd floor units as these have direct views of Grace Bay. Beach was a 5 minute walk away and many restaurants were within walking distance.
La Vista Azul was a great place to stay. The view from our condo was spectacular. Our unit was clean and had everything you would need. There are quite a few restaurants within walking distance (Mango Reef and Magnolia) as well as one conveniently downstair (Simone’s). There is a quick walk ( 5 -8 mins)to the beach which I used to get my daily steps in. Thank you to all the staff for taking such great care of us while we were visiting.
Agreed-Don’t stay here! Read the latest reviews. We had to switch rooms bc there was a pin code lock on the AC and it was set to 79, it was dirty and hot. We switched and thankfully the AC was blowing cool air, but that is the only positive thing about the room. This room was also dirty, there was broken glass on the floor by the bed that I stepped on, and cut my heel, so after I swept the floors, we still kept our shoes on while inside. We found more broken glass on the patio. We called reception and they assured us the room had been cleaned before we switched….we found dirty dishes in the dishwasher, dirty towels in the washer, and left behind dirty clothes in the bathroom. The washer/dryer & microwave were broken. This place photographs well, with a pretty view, but it’s run down and dirty. Our friends had to change rooms bc of roaches-don’t stay in rm4105!…
Do not stay here you are warned, we thought we were staying here . We booked through Orbitz , we won’t book with them again) they do not look out for their customers and so not give refunds after having this nasty hotel on their website. The hotel room is dark as well as the walk way even in daylight, Roaches, very dim lights like they don’t want you to see what’s going to happen I. The room moldy smell. This hotel has no elevator but you will be climbing a mountain if that’s where your room is. Upcharges at the one restaurant within 5-10 miles of the hotel nothing around!! Traveler be ware !! Do Not Book With Orbitz Do NOT STay At Hotle la vista azul.. BE WARE.. I would give it no stars.. by the way upon arrival we saw no guests we were the only people there except a local couple..…
La Vista Resort is well maintained with 2 pools and a jacuzzi on the roof top with an amazing view of Gracebay. The best restaurants on the island are walking distance, Mango Reef, La Magnilia. Snorkeling is beautiful with colorful fish, turtles, rays etc… The grounds are beautiful. We felt very safe with gated parking lot and security 24 hrs. Great place for families or couples .
This hotel had stray dogs inside of the hotel area and near the area. Someone tried to break into our room late on our last night! I’m willing to believe the hotel staff may have had something to do with this. If you are foreign visiting this may not be the best option for you. They tried to say it was security but they maybe telling someone who to try and rob. Thankfully we had all the locks on so they couldn’t get in. I would never recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
