Third stay at La Vista Azul, each time we have stayed here we noticed the lack of hospitality from the front Reception women. They act as if your interupting them and making them work. I booked our week long stay on the American Express travel site and prepaid for the room, with my brand new American Express Platinum card. When we arrived (Resuka) I may have spelled her name wrong, was the only employee at the front reception Resuka had a friend with 2 small children (girls) visiting her. Resuka asked for a credit card and ID, I gave her my new card, I had only used once which was to book the room. She took my card and ID down the hallway into another room, returned and gave back the ID but didn't return the credit card. I had to ask 3 times for my card back insisting to her and her friend that was in the lobby visiting her, that she had not returned the card. I felt ganged up on and then she finally went into the back room and retrieved my card. The safe in our room didn't work after several complaints and a 2hr maint. visit. Safe couldn't be repaired and we were given a master key to it. The Island felt unsafe this visit Local Crime Reports of several robberies on tourist walking to fish fry involved armed robbery and even a pistol whipping and robbery of an elderly woman in the LA Vista Azul parking lot. It's a shame that you dont screen your employee's better & train them in hospitality. I Wont Be Back.... The Credit Card Co reversed over $500.00 worth of charges lucky, I noticed the charges the first day they started using my stolen card number. Sincerely MR & Mrs Duke stay 2/29/2020 - 3/06/2020.

I’ve been to the hotel before as accommodation on a business trip. This time I had an ocean view room as opposed to the suite previously. This room was smaller but still very large and with a nice balcony with steps to the pool terrace. The room was clean and well maintained apart from the fire alarm sensor hanging out of the ceiling near the bathroom (room 3103). The ac and hot water were flood and the room very comfortable. Reception was efficient and friendly. The room requires climbing several flights of steps although you can drive closer and avoid the steps. Overall, very good. I’ll be back

Online pics of this place look nice but...No safe in room, roaches in multiple rooms, another couple was complaining about them while I was at reception. Also, room not cleaned, dirty bug zapper left on kitchen counter, bathroom dirty, dirty laundry left in closet and horrendous customer service. Room was moved, dead roach in the cabinet, dishwasher never emptied, and washer broke and was never fixedafter maintenance said he would. After many attempts to get a resolution, once I got home I spoke to the GM of the company, rude man, he agreed to give 2 nights stay refund. At first they offered one night refund, which was basically an insult. After they said 2, I just gave up. Still would never recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Cant fault this place. Its a huge complex with a beautiful swimming pool area, great place to relax. The rooms are condos and are huge and very comfortable. It is a more affordable option than Grace Bay and you can easily go to the bay from hotel. The reception were very helpful and arrange taxis. Not much around the resort so taxi or car required.
