We just returned from a 10 day trip to TCI split between The Royal West Indies and The Sands. Both resorts are very nice and great family vacation spots. The Sands was our 2nd stop on the Island and immediately when we pulled in we knew it was the perfect place. Greated by rum punch and a friendly knowledgable staff...

We spent an amazing week during Christmas break at The Sands. The condos are clean and the veranda is very well appreciated for having supper in family. Even if we were there during a high affluence period, the beach at the Sands was very calm and relaxing. The staff was also very nice and caring for us, especially one on...

We've been to the Sands the last two years and hope to make TCI an annual trip. This hotel is not as new as many of the properties on the island but it is a beautiful spot with great rooms and a good restaurant. Many of the rooms are timeshares and in some cases the furnishings are a little time...

We just returned from a one week stay at the Sands. While there are more "upscale" resorts on Grace Bay, they are twice the price of the Sands and as far as I can tell don't provide twice the experience. We had a two bedroom oceanview suite, with a full kitchen. The suite (really a condo) was spotlessly clean, the...

We stayed at the sands in January 2013. Overall, we had a great vacation, and for the right price, we would go back to the Sands. Something to keep in mind as you read these reviews on TA. This property is made up of condos, that are privately owned an rented out. Though they are maintained as a hotel and...

I just returned from a Turks and Caicos weekend visit to the Sands at Grace Bay. The location of my room was fabulous--an ocean front studio in Building 3 facing the beach. The pros of the room were that it was very clean, spacious, had a kitchen area with a mini-fridg, microwave, coffee pot, utensils and plates. The covered, screened...

I would not stay at the Sands again - less because of the accommodations by themselves, and more for the clientele that seem to frequent this place. I should state the "purpose of my trip," since that usually guides one's expectations - my goals were to escape the cold weather, sit on the beach and read, stare out on the...

We appreciate your feedback and are glad you enjoyed some features of our hotel such as our restaurant and the location however we do not condone illegal activity of any type and if and when brought to management’s attention we will report any instances to the proper authorities. Nice hotel set up with access right to the beach. One of the few hotels with restaurant on site. There is no room service since there is no kitchen on site, but the restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and diner. Its a little expensive but great food. The pool is not huge but is heated and the beach is wonderful with...

Thank you for your review. Glad to hear you enjoyed our beachfront location and our famous Hemingway's Restaurant. The vast majority of hotels, including The Sands are condo-hotels, which is very different then timeshares. We do not have any time shares at The Sands at Grace Bay. We have a wide demographic which varies depending on the time of year....

In many ways, The Sands is the best place to stay. It is close enough to the action, but sits out on a very peaceful part of the beach and is the best value. For excitement, Seven Stars & Grace Bay Club are really at the best location. They have the most beach activity and centrally located to the densest...

Building #3 has the best views and if you are planning to host cocktails with a view, suggest you consider #3306. However, many rooms overlook the beach side pool and Hemingways restaurant on the beach. While children friendly, it is not overrun with small ones, like Beaches, a resort to be avoided. The beach is broad, sparsely populated and with...
