We were impressed with the value of RWI compared to other resorts on the island. Our pool view studio suite pleasantly surprised us with a great view of beautiful gardens and the adult only pool (bonus). The front desk staff and the gentleman who showed us to our room had super fun and friendly personalities.. They really went out of their way to be pleasant and polite. Special shout out to Chama who helped us recover valuables left in the safe. This little hotel is a great find!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is older but very well kept and the grounds are immaculate. The beach is clean and beautiful. The rooms are nice and have everything you need! We dined in a few meals and loved the access to a washing machine in the room. For a family of six it was a great small resort with everything we needed. The onsite restaurant was very good. The location is great for fishing out of Walkins Leeward Marina and diving with Dive Provo.
Kitchen is fully equipped, large balcony with furniture overlooking ocean, nice clean beach. Ocean was very wavy, was dangerous to get in a water, but beach is nice with umbrellas, chairs and clean towels. You need to have a car if you stay in that hotel. We didn't and it is hard to navigate especially at night. Overall was a nice first experience of the island considering it was during the COVID curfew.
The Royal West Indies resort was perfect for what we were looking for last week. All we wanted was a view of the ocean and a simple clean room. We got more than that at RWI! Our oceanside studio was extremely comfortable with a beautiful view of the beach right below. The kitchenette was more than sufficient for us to have breakfast and lunch every day. Every member of the staff - front desk, bar/restaurant, beach and housekeeping - were nice, helpful and respectful of giving us space to just enjoy and relax. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a gorgeous beach, convenience and a peaceful island experience.
Notice to Tourists: DO NOT pre-book reservations with RWI resort. Their web site says they will refund deposits upon cancellation, with due notice. I cancelled in advance due to COVID and have in writing at that time that they would refund the deposit. That was 2.5 months ago and they are refusing to refund the deposit, let alone have the courtesy to respond to repeated emails and telephone inquiries. These geniuses don't realize that the same tourists they are ripping off and maltreating now will be back to TCI once COVID is over, with lots of other hotel choices.
