We stayed here in August 2021 (family of five) and had a wonderful time. The beach is gorgeous and decent walking distance to town (a few places are easier to walk to than others). This was our third trip to TCI. Previously we stayed at The Sands and Ocean Club East. Pros: There are different pools - the one for kids is by the restaurant and closest to the beach. There are also "quiet areas" farther back which is nice for adults. -You can't ask for a better beach. It was so easy to find a chair pretty much any time of day and there isn't a time limit on the seats. Staff is very nice about helping you if you need it. -Pelican Bay is the restaurant on-site and it was very good. They do offer beach service but there is only one server (who is amazing!) and he was running between RWI and the hotel next store. -CocoBistro and Cocovan are a super quick walk! -Bikes are available; some are better than others :) -Washer/dryer & full kitchen: we used Goods2Go and they stocked our kitchen before we arrived. It was amazing and I highly recommend! There really weren't any cons, just remember you are on island time so things take longer than back home. The rooms are clean and nice; nothing fancy. It was perfect for us!

We had to changes plans quickly and needed a new place to stay for our vacation. We chose RWI and are glad we did. The grounds and pools are fabulous and immaculate. The room was clean and spacious. Everyone on staff was so nice and helpful once you adjust to the island pace. Get used to a different service model if you are from the USA. The beach is exactly how it looks in pictures. Don’t hesitate to stay at RWI.

We booked an ocean view room and were placed on the middle floor of building 2. This was a great location, facing away from the bar and restaurant so was quiet, and lovely beach views. The hotel is really rather dated, it's not our preferred style at all. Having said that everything seemed to be well kept and clean, which is the main thing. The housekeeping service was the best I've had anywhere, they didn't miss a day or any detail when they came to do our room, one day we only left them with 1 hour to complete the housekeeping and didn't expect it to be done, but it was! The room itself was comfortable, slept well in the comfy bed, the bathroom had both a bath and a shower which was handy. The small kitchenette was well used by us, the microwave and coffee maker were useful, and we also used the washer and dryer in the room. The aircon and fan were nice and powerful. The wifi at the resort was great, strong signal and fast everywhere - even on the beach we had signal although I noticed if we sat at the far side it could get a little patchy. The beach was amazing, picture perfect turquoise water and powder white sand. There was a gently shelving slope to get into the water, and a roped off safe swimming section where boats etc aren't allowed. There were regularly people selling watersports but they didn't intrude at all, just walked up and down the beach. A guy regularly came selling rum coconuts - expensive but tasty! We were lucky enough one day to see a ray in the shallows by the beach, we followed it along the shore as it swam across. We made use of the free kayaks and paddleboards, which were both good fun. You just had to ask for them at the beach hut, and you could sign them out for up to 45 minutes for free. The daily happy hour for drinks was most welcome and we made good use of that - the cocktails were great. However were not so impressed with the food - the dinner menu was very limited, although the food served was OK. However we tried going for breakfast one day and had a 45 minute wait for our food! This was when there was only 1 other couple there, so we didn't go back for any other breakfasts. There is a main pool and a quiet pool, although in reality both were very quiet, as was the beach. We had gone in the off season, so it was not unusual for us to be the only people at the pool, and for only a couple of others on the beach. It was great knowing you didn't have to get up early to get a nice beachfront sun lounger! The resort bikes were in rather a state. My husband is a keen cyclist so took one out but he soon came back, the tyre was mostly flat and they didn't even have brakes!! Overall we had a lovely stay here, it met our requirement of being quiet and Covid safe, and was well-located such that we could walk out to some restaurants. The one thing that did really annoy me though was the arrangements for requesting late checkout. When we first asked we were told we had to wait until the day before we checked out to request it, which we did. We were then told we had to wait until the actual day of check out. This meant we were unable to plan anything at all for our last day, as we didn't know if we had to be up and out, or if we could stay most of the day. I guess it's a small point, but it felt very frustrating not knowing whether our holiday had ended, or whether we could enjoy one last day. Luckily in the end we were granted late check out. Just to comment on Covid safety, the resort staff were generally really good at enforcing the mask wearing policy. More than once we witnessed someone arrive at the bar without a mask, and being told they weren't allowed in without one, even though it would only be a couple of steps to sit down at an outdoor table. Also hear a bartender tell a guest to go wash his hands, after he sneezed whilst sitting at the bar. It was good to know Covid was being taken seriously, I'd say that 80% of guests would correctly wear masks whilst walking around the property, a few didn't. Yes it's horrible wearing a mask when walking from your room to the beach or pool when it's so hot, but it's a small price to pay to keep yourself and everyone else as safe as possible

Amazing beautiful tranquil place. But the best part was the food we went to many places to eat and drink and no place that we went compared to the food quality quantity and price as here. Staff and service was amazing Chef Peter! Amazing ! Our bar tenders Mello Matt and Lando the best of the best ! Mello went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of and happy! Clean peaceful quiet resort with the most epic beach's feet away the sunsets were incredible Definitely coming back !

Arrived in 8/21 for 7 days and was looking for just a relaxing getaway. My family and I were pleased with the 1 bedroom corner condo with the wrap around deck although it was extremely outdated. It was very clean but 1990s at best. The front desk was ok but can use some more personality. The bikes they have to ride to the store were ancient but functional. In comparison to all other bikes from surrounding resorts they were the least appealing. The waiters, bartenders, beach guys were all excellent. I won’t name any because I don’t want to leave any out. The beach was absolutely stunning and huge! I will return one day soon.
