Chosen at random (based purely on reviews) for a one night stay in POS on arrival we were delighted with our choice. The staff were lovely, very flexible about check in and check out times, the property was quirky with a combination of old world charm in a modern skin. It was a delight to sit reading in the lovely lounge, the breakfast was excellent and our room very comfortable with beautiful period tiled floor, a section of antique wood panelling and the faded but lovely old painted windows with large sliding windows overlooking the pretty garden and pool. If you like a place with character the Heritage Inn is for you. Being close to the Savannah it would be a perfect base for carnival. We will be back.
I recently spent 7 days at the quaint Heritage Inn with my mom who was visiting Trinidad to undergo surgery. We arrived late at night and was greeted by a friendly and helpful security guard. The check in process with Nicki at the front desk was easy and quick, she made us feel comfortable from the onset as she was very friendly, accommodating, and answered all our questions. We did not know what to expect because we are used to staying at large resorts/hotels, and this is a bed and breakfast. As we were escorted upstairs (the 1st floor) accessible only via a few stairs, we were greeted by an open living space with large sofas and other antique wooded furniture’s, Wall decors, a bookshelf with a variety of books, it was the end of November so the room had festive Christmas decors and a Xmas tree. The space felt a bit like a museum was my first unique sense of the Heritage Inn. Our guest room was spacious and equipped with free high speed Wi Fi, telephone, a queen and a twin bed which allows peaceful sleep for hours due to their firm structure(no waking with aches and pains), there is also a ceiling fan, plus air conditioning, a mini refrigerator with two complimentary bottles of water (nice touch), the Bathroom is small but clean and comfortable with all amenities, closet with hangers, iron, ironing board and an in-room safe. There is a courtyard nicely landscaped with tropical flowers and fruit trees, also to complete this ambiance was a lap pool surrounded by lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas. Service was exceptional! We woke up to a deliciously prepared local island breakfast where you have an option of having your eggs prepared to your preference. The dining area had a variety of teas, coffees, an electric kettle and microwave available to all guests 24/7, The two ladies in the kitchen went out of their way to ensure you enjoyed your breakfast. They even enquired every morning if my mom was comfortable and had everything she needed after the surgery. The room attendant too, went above and beyond to ensure the room is clean (as I did mention to her that I had dust allergies) she paid special attention to ensure that this did not affect my stay. The Heritage Inn is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in close proximity to the famous Queens Park Savannah known to be the largest roundabout in the world, the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Emperor Valley Zoo, and the famous Magnificent Seven Houses, such rich history to experience at least once especially around Carnival which is usually around February/March. Thanks again, to the entire staff not forgetting Marcia and the other lady at the front desk, her name is not coming to me now, but will take note on our next visit. I will certainly recommend the Heritage Inn to anyone looking for a safe, quiet, intimate home away from home B&B, with friendly and efficient staff.…
I had the pleasure of staying at this boutique hotel and I was really impressed. Though small and close to the main road, it was quiet and comfortable. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. A true home away from home. I will visit again soon!
Stayed 3 nights visiting friends. Our late check in went smoothly. Nice room and comfortable king size bed. A clean and efficient shower and toilet. Breakfast was more than adequate with the breakfast lady doing eggs anyway. There is a small beautiful landscaped garden with a good size swimming pool to chill a few hours away. To be fair there is a case that some updating of the bathroom and bedrooms should be done. However for a short stay this hotel is fine it is close to the Savannah and is very secure..
We stayed 4 nights in this nicely decorated bed and breakfast inn, and enjoyed the gracious, comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The neighborhood location is convenient, secure, and the rates are very reasonable. The owner Sandra and her staff were friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend it as a unique and charming place to stay in Port of Spain!
