We booked last year and were surprised that this place was not what we thought it was going to be. I noticed holes in the walls, some bugs (could be an island thing), dirty bathroom, etc. We had to immediately move to another hotel as we felt very uncomfortable. I will say, however, that the staff were absolutely pleasant. The...

Had a dinner with close friends and I must admit I didn't know how affordable it was to have buffet dinner there. The service was good and the food wonderful. For a hotel so long in the business I can understand why they have survived this long. Keep up the good work

We arrived in Trinidad to find the hotel we actually booked in had lost our booking but they were going to pay for us to stay in another hotel. We had been travelling for 3 days almost solidly at this point and were exhausted. When we arrived at reception there was noone behind the desk, we could see someone in...

I was part of a group which had many rooms booked and was sharing a 3 bed split level room in the original hotel block with my kids. The bathroom and tub had mildew and the mattresses and sheets were literally the thinnest that I've ever experienced in a hotel. Breakfast buffet was fine and the restaurent area was very...

Stayed for the weekend. The staff was polite, but I thought the room was ridiculously outdated. It seemed to me that the only thing which was updated was the lock on the door to allow the use of a card key. I thought that there was so much potential with this hotel, but simply very little attention paid to creating...

Whenever I get a weekend or time off from work like to do something with my sons and after a wonderful time for my birthday the year before, I decided to bring my children. A quite hideaway is what I call the Normandie. No distractions from the busy street, a quite time at the pool, comfortable and clean rooms and...

The Normandie is a perfect hotel for groups, family and business travellers. It offers standard amenities and what you can consider necessities. It is currently being renovated and thus working on improving the check in process and room decor. The staff are exceptional and the Saaman rooms are my favorite. The breakfast at Carnival time is superior. Lunch there on...

Ambience was very nice and the food fresh and very tasty. Big selection, good service; quiet so you can enjoy visiting with friends and family. Wish the shops were open on Sunday!!! Didn't stay--only enjoyed Sunday Brunch. Highly recommend.

On arrival there were no one there to check us in. I literally walked around the compound looking for someone to check us in. After a long wait a very friendly guy did come to us eventually. Getting to the room, the shower drainage did work. The water simply just wouldn't go down!FIX IT!

This hotel is well located and very nicely hidden away. The check in needs to be modernized a bit but that is OK. The Hotel has a strong mix between the social areas and the areas under reconstruction. There needs to be a proper separation so that the guests do not pick up visual trash.
