We have just returned from 4 days at the Cotton House, Mustique and I have never reviewed a hotel before but felt strongly enough to do so this time. From the time you board a small plane from Barbados until you leave, the experience is perfect. What Cotton House manage to achieve with great finesse is an exclusive, luxury experience...

The Cotton House was just a wonderful relaxing place to stay. As soon as you arrive your cases are delivered to your suite and you are offered an unpacking and pressing service. The staff in all areas of the hotel were so attentive to our needs and helped in any way they could. This was so important to us as...

I have just returned home after spending two fabulous weeks here. The staff really make ones stay here memorable, they are so friendly and always remember ones names and also preferences. The hotel though upmarket is incredibly relaxed and very restful. The food is good though expensive. The hotel will take one to any of the other beaches or restaurants....

Dear Sir, Madam, Thank you for your posting. The team and I are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and we hope to welcome you again in the near future. Fortunately, the reef you mentioned is acting as a natural barrier in order to protect the beach from erosion in times of heavy seas. Very best regards, Jacques...

We arrived on a little plane from Barbados and were driven the 3 minutes to the hotel to be welcomed personally by the manager and the assistant manager. Then we were taken up to the cottage in the beautiful grounds which was to be our home for the next wee while to find our cases already there and registration happened...

Why go there: This review is a bit late but I do want to add my 2 cents. After an absolutely hectic winter 2012-2013, my husband and I took advantage of some time off work and grandparents visiting to escape for 5 days and we stayed at the Cotton House. The island had been recommended to us by family who...

Dear Sir, Madam, Thank you for the delayed posting. Things have changed since your last visit, Eleonore has moved on to another property and upgrades have been made in all areas of the Cotton House. We spent another 10 days at the Cotton House in December 2013, we did not want to leave and are already planning our return trip. The whole atmosphere is so relaxing and the staff are fantastic, there to help and very friendly but without being intrusive. We have visited The Cotton House numerous times over quite a few years. Our recent two nights (either end of our usual villa stay) were the best ever. The hotel and grounds are just as splendid as before. However, the new manager, Jacques Brouchier, appears to be doing great things. The service from the entire staff was wonderful. Best of...

We recently spent 11 nights at Cotton House and although some it was enjoyable, quite a lot was not. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Cotton House is as intriguing as it is beautiful. Originally an 18th century sugar plantation hidden away on the private island of Mustique, Lord Glenconner gave it a new lease of life in the early 1970s blending lush tropical beauty with plantation-style elegance and creating an exclusive retreat tailormade for visiting high flyers. Today it is owned by the Mustique Company, who’ve introduced such contemporary ‘must haves’ as a designer spa and infinity-edge pool, the romantic colonial mood remains evident throughout. The resort stands on a picturesque hilltop between the tranquil Caribbean Sea and the windswept Atlantic Ocean. Just 17 charming rooms & suites provide the accommodation dotted throughout the 13 acre grounds and thoughtfully equipped with mini-bars, CD players and private terraces or balconies. Private plunge pools are exciting new additions to eleven of the rooms, whilst a new two-bedroom villa with its own swimming pool and 24 hour butler gives a taste of the island-style living. A perfect hideaway and intimate destination. ... more   less
